Man erhitzt dann das Gemisch der beiden Substanzen zwei Stunden lang auf 1300 und läfst hierauf die Temperatur allmälig steigen, ohne über 140 bis 1500 hinauszugehen, aber in der Weise, dafs man das Wasser verdampft und eine trockene Masse darstellt, welche den neuen Farbstoff bildet und in dieser Form direct verbraucht werden kann. Dieser Farbstoff ist in Wasser mit blauer Farbe sehr löslich, er wird durch Säuren aus seiner Lösung vollständig niedergeschlagen, der Niederschlag ist aber in Aetznatron, und vor allen Dingen in Schwefelalkalien löslich. Letztere Lösungen oder die wässerigen Lösungen des Rohproductes färben ungeheizte Baumwolle schön blau.Example I.
