Die bisher bekannten Druckpressen, bei welchen eine Matrize, Druckplatte oder ähnliche Einrichtung selbsttätig eingefärbt und gewischt wird, dadurch, dafs die Matrize oder Druckplatte zuerst über den Farbapparat und dann über die Wischvorrichtung bewegt wurde, arbeiteten in der Weise, dafs die Farbvorrichtung durch geeignete Hülfsmittel, welche von dem Tragkörper derselben aufgenommen werden, derart niedergedrückt wird, dafs sie mit der Fläche der Matrize erst dann in Berührung kommt, wenn die vordere Kante der letzteren die arbeitenden Theile der Farbvorrichtung überschritten hat. Dadurch wird erreicht, dafs die vordere Kante der Matrize frei von Farbe bleibt. Würde dagegen diese Kante mit den arbeitenden Theilen der Farbvorrichtung in Berührung kommen, so würde sich die Farbe an dieser Kante ansammeln. Diese Anhäufung von Farbe würde bei dem Wischen nicht entfernt werden können, vielmehr würde bei jedem Druck ein Theil der angesammelten Farbe von der Kante der Matrize sich auf das Papier abdrücken.
