Sweepers are known for use in gardens and especially on lawns a brush roller driven by hand or by a motor on one equipped with running wheels Frame is rotatably mounted. The drive goes in these known sweepers in the Make sure that the running wheels are turned into by moving the machine by hand or by motor Movement are set and in turn set the axis of the brush drum in rotation by means of gears.
Since in this design the drive of the brush roller from the movement of the drive wheels of the sweeper is derived, there are certain disadvantages when using such sweepers. Above all, it is felt to be disadvantageous that one is on fences, walls or immediately before the end the sweeping surface no longer puts the remainder of the debris lying in front of the brush roller in the sweeping container can accommodate. In general, such sweepers cannot achieve that at the end the movement of the machine means that the debris has also been completely collected.
The invention relates to a garden sweeper with a motor-driven brush roller and with a drive shaft which is used to drive the running wheels and which is driven by a manually operated one Coupling can optionally be connected to the brush roller in a non-positive manner. At a such garden sweeper, the disadvantages described are avoided by the fact that the invention the brush roller can be loosely rotated concentrically to the drive shaft of the running wheels (with the clutch disengaged) is stored and firmly connected to the brush roller Belt pulley forms a coupling half, with which the shaft rotatably and axially on the drive shaft sliding coupling part can be brought into engagement.
Bei diesem Gerät arbeitet der Motor durch einen Riemen auf die Gebläsewalze, von GartenkehrmaschineIn itself, a garden tool that can be moved on caterpillars with a blower roller for removal from snow, leaves, grass and the like. Known, in which by a manually operated clutch if desired, a non-positive connection between the drive shaft of the caterpillars moving wheels and the fan roller can be produced or released; this makes it possible at motor-driven fan roller, the device can be operated either by hand or with a motor drive to drive. However, the known garden tool requires a disproportionately large amount of space and machine effort. In this device, the motor works through a belt on the fan roller, from Garden sweeper

Demgegenüber zeichnet sich die Bauart der Erfindung durch eine weitgehende Vereinfachung des Aufbaues und dementsprechend geringen Raumbedarf aus.which is derived from another belt drive for the clutch, which in turn drives the caterpillar belts Drives the wheels through a further chain transmission. The training of the clutch is therefore particularly expensive because the entire coupling must be swiveled to it with the To connect or loosen the belt with a force fit. In contrast, the design of the invention is distinguished due to the extensive simplification of the structure and correspondingly low space requirements the end.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the pulley the brush roller on one side on the continuous Drive shaft rotatably supported.
Die Bürstenwalze 1, 8 ist mittels der Riemenscheibe 6 und eines (nicht dargestellten) anThe running wheels of the sweeper designated by 1 and 2 are overhung on both sides in a known manner on the outside of the machine frame designated by 3. The motor M built on the machine frame and protected by an insulating hood 4 drives a belt pulley 5 which, by means of V-belts, rotates a belt pulley 6 which is firmly connected to the brush roller 7, 8. The brush roller 1, 8 is on by means of the pulley 6 and one (not shown)

Dadurch ist es, wie insbesondere aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, möglich, das Maschinengestell in gewissen Grenzen höher oder tiefer einzustellen, um je nach Wunsch die Bürstenwalze mit größerem oder geringerem Abstand vom Erdboden zu betreiben.the opposite end provided bearing body on the continuous drive shaft 9 loosely rotatably mounted, each of which carries a drive pinion 10 on both sides, which in a known manner with an internal ring gear of the associated impeller 1 or 2 is in engagement, in a known manner an overrunning clutch is interposed. With 11 the handle is referred to, which with the to Axis of the running wheels pivotally attached machine frame 3 by means of a clamp 13 and a Wing nut 14, which is guided in a circular arc-shaped slot 12, can be firmly connected. As a result, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, the machine frame can be adjusted in certain Set the limits higher or lower in order to increase or decrease the brush roller as required Operate at a distance from the ground.
As in Fig. 3, a clutch 15 that can be engaged and disengaged is provided in order to allow the belt drive of the motor to act only on the brush roller or at the same time on the running wheels, as required. In the case of the in FIG. 3, the position of the clutch 15 shown, the belt drive of the motor acts only on the brush roller 7, 8, so that the sweeping process can be carried out with the machine stopped or moved slowly by hand. When the clutch is engaged by actuating the device 16 to 20, the drive shaft 9 is inevitably entrained by the belt pulley 6 driven by the motor, so that the two running wheels are also driven via the pinion 10. To operate the clutch, a pivot lever 16 (FIG. 4) is provided, which is pivotably mounted at 17 and is on the one hand under the action of a compression spring and on the other hand under the action of a cable 19 guided over a pulley 18, which is attached to the handle 11 and easily accessible operating lever 20 can be tightened or loosened. In the position of the actuating lever 20 shown in FIG. 2, the cable 19 is tensioned so that the lever 16 is brought into the position shown in FIG. In the position of the actuating lever designated by 20 ', the cable pull 19 is slack so that the lever 16 is moved into the position shown in FIG. 4 reaches the position shown and the clutch is engaged by the spring indicated in FIG. Supporting rollers provided on both sides are designated by 21, on which the container 22 receiving the debris rests. The container can be brought into the position indicated by 22 'in order to empty the accumulated debris. In Fig. 2 the machine frame with the attached parts is indicated in two different height positions, the lower position being indicated by dashed lines. The parts M, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are designated in the lower position with M ', 3', 4 ', 5', 6 'and 8'.
