Luxuskästchen aus Carton, Pappe und anderem Material werden zum Zwecke der Verschönerung im Innern mit Zierspitzen oder sogen. Staubklappen aus Papier oder anderem geeigneten Stoff versehen. Nach dem bisher üblichen Verfahren geschieht die Anbringung der Staubklappen meist von Hand, obgleich auch Verfahren bekannt geworden sind, welche auf eine Anbringung mittelst Maschine abzielen, wie aus der englischen Patentschrift 9496/98 und der deutschen Patentschrift 90859 hervorgeht. Mit diesen Maschinen werden die Staubklappen mit ihrem unteren Rande zwischen den äufseren Seitenwänden des Kästchens und deren Bekleidungsstoff befestigt und alsdann nach innen umgelegt. Hierbei bleibt also der innere Oberrand vollständig unbekleidet, was beim Hochklappen der Zierspitzen einen unfertigen und unschönen Anblick gewährt.
