Description
Device for arranging a braking parachute at the end of the fuselage Aircraft The invention relates to an arrangement of the shortening of the Brake parachute used for the runway in a storage space at the rear end of the fuselage . Aircraft that can be opened by the pilot to take the aircraft out of his to slow down high landing speed.
In known, equipped with such a braking parachute Aircraft is after each landing with the help of the parachute careful, time-consuming folding and stowing of the parachute required in the storage space provided at the rear end of the fuselage. In general the opening to this storage space was in the longitudinal axis of the fuselage, and through this opening the parachute bundle had to be reinserted into the aircraft, which is particularly difficult and time consuming. This is especially true with military aircraft disadvantageous, where there is a requirement that they, if necessary, immediately are ready to take off again after landing.
Devices have already been described by which a parachute extended during the flight for the purpose of braking can be withdrawn by the pilot during the flight. With this one However, the drag parachute is at risk of retreating into the fuselage Exposed to damage, and moreover, it is not possible due to the known Devices a folding of the parachute in an easily deployable bundle to accomplish with little space requirement. At one of the landing support staff Brake parachute pulling in the parachute from inside the aircraft would be enough therefore impossible because of the grinding on the ground and the multiple reversals of direction when retracting, damage to the parachute would be inevitable for reasons must be avoided at all costs for operational safety.
The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and exists in that a parachute bundle is prepackaged in a shallow container which can be used in a recess of the fuselage corresponding to its shape can be easily detachably fastened is, two rigid rectangular side walls, two rigid, according to the cross-sectional shape of the fuselage of the aircraft cut side walls, a correspondingly curved rigid floor as well as a cover provided with foldable flaps, the opening cords of which to the one that can be operated by the pilot and that closes off the stowage space in the fuselage Doors can be fastened. This pre-packed drag parachute can with his him Containing container with a few simple steps against a located in the aircraft fuselage Container are exchanged, the parachute deployed to shorten the landing had been. Since it is not necessary according to the invention, the one just used Folding the braking parachute before the next take-off is after a brief exchange the container an aircraft equipped with such a braking parachute in the shortest possible time Time to start again. The saddle-shaped, adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the rump Shape of the container proves to be particularly useful because the parachute container conveniently inserted from below into a corresponding storage space in the aircraft fuselage which can be covered by appropriately designed doors and accessible from below is.

The doors 34 are operated via cables 36 from the pilot's seat. When the doors are pulled back into the fuselage, they pull the pins 32 out of the conical pins 27 via the cords 33. The elastic straps 29, 30, 31 open the container flap arrangement, and the spring-loaded auxiliary parachute 22 opens the flap 25 of the parachute bundle 21, and the strap 23 is pulled out of the fastening loops 16 @ and thus releases the flap 13. The auxiliary parachute is then caught by the air flow and pulls the brake parachute bundle 21 out of the aircraft. When the parachute rope 18 is fully extended, the braking parachute opens in the usual way and brakes the landing of the aircraft and is dropped at the end of the landing by a conventional device which is not the subject of the invention.
The empty container with its container flap assembly is then through removed the open doors 34 by turning the quick release fasteners 10 and a new container, as described above, is inserted and through the quick-release fasteners 10 set. Whose parachute rope is 1.8 connected to the airplane in the usual way. The cords 33 are on the doors 34 is attached in the manner described above and the doors are closed. That As far as the parachute is concerned, the aircraft is then ready for another take-off prepared.
