Description
The invention relates to a stationary vacuum cleaning system, which has a number of connection points provided vertical branch lines, which are routed to a mainly horizontally Manifold are connected, the latter via a dust separator to the suction side of a Compressor or a high-pressure fan is connected, the pressure side of which with the free air communicates.
With systems of this type it must be assumed that at times a large number of the existing Connection points is in use at the same time. The compressor or the high pressure fan as well the dust separator must therefore be dimensioned for an air volume that is the largest number mentioned corresponds to the connection points used at the same time. For the same reason, the part of the The manifold, which is located next to the compressor, is designed with a pipe diameter which is adapted to an estimated maximum air volume, the light © width of the Manifold gradually decreases towards the end opposite the compressor. It has however, it has been shown that, as a result of the often very strong fluctuations in the load, that is responsible for the promotion of the dust necessary air speed cannot always be maintained in all parts of the manifold which can lead to dust deposits in the manifold. In some cases it can that lead to the fact that the entire system is put out of operation and only after it has been cleaned is able to resume operation manually. In other cases, the clusters after a while suddenly entrained with the air flow to the dust collector, causing the same may be added or at least as a result of the uneven loading of the Dust is not completely separated.
The invention, which aims to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned, is characterized in that that the collecting line is designed with a constant diameter over its entire length and that the compressor or the fan on its pressure side with the end remote from the suction connection the collecting line is connected by means of a connecting pipe in which there is a regulating or throttle valve is located in order to put a measured volume of the purified air back into circulation and thus to maintain the required conveying speed in the manifold.

The air brought in is automatically kept constant by turning the throttle valve in the connecting pipe an electric motor is actuated, which in turn is controlled by a pressure responsive Device that senses the pressure drop across the dust collector. Optionally, the regulating or The throttle valve can be controlled by a device that determines the power requirement of the compressor or the fan.
The invention will now be made with reference to the drawing, which schematically shows an inventive Represents central vacuum cleaning system, are described in more detail.
In the drawing, the number 1 indicates a number of vertical, over several floors of a housing extending branch lines referred to, which with connection points 2 in the individual floors are provided; Vacuum cleaning devices 3 of conventional design can be connected to these connection points will. All vertical branch lines are at their lower end to a common, practical horizontal manifold 4 connected in the basement of the building. The manifold, which according to the invention has a constant diameter over its entire length, is about a Dust separator connected to the suction side of a high pressure blower 6, which on its pressure

The dust separator 5 in the case shown here consists of a primary separator 5 a and a secondary separator 5 b, both of the type of the so-called wet cleaner. The separated dust and the impurities are fed together with the used washing liquid via a filter 8 to a settling basin 9. According to the invention, the blower 6 is also connected on its pressure side by means of a connecting pipe 10 to the end 4 a of the collecting line remote from the suction connection, whereby a metered volume of purified air can be put into circulation again, so that the required conveying speed in the collecting line 4 is always maintained is maintained regardless of the number of connection points for the vacuum cleaners that are in use at the same time. The volume of the circulating air is adjusted by means of a regulating throttle valve 11 in the connecting pipe 10, the throttle valve being automatically actuated in the case shown here by a device 12 which responds to pressure. This device is connected to the collecting line 4 by means of two pipes 13 and 14 of smaller diameter and senses the pressure drop at the dust separator 5. Alternatively, a device can also be used to actuate the regulating throttle valve, which senses the respective power requirement of the high-pressure fan.
