Description

Process for the production of wood-based panels coated with synthetic resin or decorative foils The subject of patent 1131388 is, inter alia, a process for the production of chipboard coated with thermosetting synthetic resin or decorative foils Almost or completely cured underlay films are inserted during manufacture or before use.

In the further development of this process it was found that one Use loose chip material in place of the finished chipboard compacts and in one Press passage can produce a chipboard provided with decorative film. Between the with synthetic resin impregnated cover sheet and the loose chip material are one or more Almost or completely cured underlay films, e.g. B. hard paper, inserted, wherein you put this backing film against the backing material and against each other before use with a glue, e.g. B. a glue film provides. This measure has the purpose that or the non-self-adhesive backing films with one another or with the loose backing material to anchor.

It is already known to loose papers soaked with synthetic resin Pressing on chip material under pressure and heat. However, this procedure is liable to The disadvantage is that the decorative film, which softens under the pressing temperature, is all Adapts to the unevenness of the surface and that wood chips are pressed into the film. The result is an uneven and uneven surface of the decorative film after the Grouting. Attempts have also been made to remedy this disadvantage by has brought one or more underlay films under the decorative film. But this too Measure did not lead to a flawless surface, since the underlay films at the hot pressing also soften and the irregularly homogeneous structure of the chip material adjust. If you are working with several underlay films, there is also a risk the formation of vapor bubbles within the underlay film layers. Another disadvantage there is also the shrinkage of the underlying films, which leads to the strong warping of the Plate leads. One tries to counter this danger by looking at the back of the same Amount of film puts on what a significant expense in material and labor costs caused.

The disadvantages do not arise if, according to the invention, under the decorative film one or more layers of almost or completely cured backing films, e.g. B. hard paper are placed. These are customary kraft papers, preferably impregnated with phenolic or urea resins, with a resin content of 20 to 1300/9, depending on the nature of the paper, paper weight and intended use. Since these hardened backing films are no longer self-adhesive, glue foils or other adhesives are used under the backing film to bond to each other or to the backing.

These underlay flaps are characterized by the action of the press heat excellent rigidity so that they do not get into the bumps and Put in pores of the sub-material, but bridge them as a rigid cover layer. Wood chips cannot be pressed into these underlay films. It is also important d'that these films no longer change under the influence of the pressing temperature, so that there is no risk of vapor lock formation. Because of this, can work can also be carried out without recooling the press, which is otherwise customary or necessary is. The cured film cannot shrink any further, so that only a simple one Back coating is sufficient to avoid warping of the panels. It can if necessary a back coating can be dispensed with at all.
