Description
Glass retaining bead made of plastic with a support surface for the window pane In cold outside air and warm room air, forms on the inside of the window panes Condensation. The condensation that runs down usually collects in a channel of the window frame. It has to be wiped up daily, especially in new buildings. It it is therefore impossible to paint the windows in the cold season; because on Damp or wet wood, paint is not durable. Also is through the condensation the service life of the windows is reduced.
Various suggestions have already been made for discharging the condensation water to the outside. However, they do not eliminate the disadvantage that the frame wood of the window comes into contact with the water.
There is also a glass retaining strip made of plastic with a support surface for a window pane, a condensation gutter and openings for draining the Condensation under the pane became known to the outside. This arrangement however, it has the disadvantage that the openings for the water to exit directly into the open air point. In the case of such water outlet openings pointing directly outwards the risk of draft nuisance inside the room, namely then, when the wind presses on the window. It is also in this known arrangement inevitably that the wind pressing on the window will still leave water located in the glass retaining strip, presses back into the interior of the room and thus dirt caused.
The object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages. this happens because the outflow openings through a flexible lip against wind pressure covered and offset from the water openings under the pane are.
The frame wood of the window is always kept dry. Therefore, the windows can now be painted at any time of the year. The dreaded blue pillar of the windows no longer occurs.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows Fig. 1 the storage of a glass pane by means of the hay plastic profile in the window frame, in section along the line 1-1 of Fig. 2, Fig. 2 a plan view, seen in the direction of arrow 11 of Fig. 1 , and Fig. 3 shows a section along line III-III in FIG. 1.
A plastic profile, preferably made of polyvinyl chloride, is inserted between the glass pane 4 and the window frame 5 and forms the approximately perpendicular leg 6 and the horizontal leg 7 adjoining it. The legs 6 and 7 completely cover the wood of the frame 5 ; they can be glued to it. The web 8, on which the glass pane 4 is etched off, consists of one piece with the legs 6 and 7. The web 8 contains a number of water passage openings 9.
With the plastic profile parts described there is also a strip 10 made of one piece, which rests against the inside of the glass pane. The bar 10 has a number of recesses 11 . These allow the condensation water running down the glass pane to pass through.
On its outside, the glass pane is held by the strip 12, which is also part of the plastic profile. The bar 12 leads downwards at an acute angle and then merges into the horizontal part 13 , which connects to the web 8 . The cavity 14 formed in this way enables the same plastic profile to be used for glass panes of different thicknesses. The part 15 of the plastic profile adjoining the strip 12 on the outside is connected to the horizontal leg 7 . The parts 12, 15, 7 and 8 therefore form a closed hollow profile. Openings 16 are only provided for the passage of the condensation water to the outside. The openings 16 are preferably offset from the openings 9 . This restricts the air circulation and thus prevents undesired cooling of the room on the inside of the glass pane. In the illustrated embodiment, a lip 17 forms the outer end of the plastic profile. The lip covers the openings 16 without closing them.
The subject of the invention can be used for windows of various types, So not only for windows of living rooms, but also for shop windows or the like.
