Method and device for lautering --- and knocking out beer wort In filter technology, it is used to filter out substances such. B. plastic, cellulose, kaolin or the like. Known from liquid to use continuous endless filter belts to let the liquid to be filtered pass through the circumferential filter belt and thereby separate the liquid from the substance.
. Lauter vats or mash filters with a fixed filter base are used for lautering and knocking out beer wort in such a way that the spent grains on the filter base serve as a filter layer, whereby the spent grains must have a certain layer thickness. The drainage from the spent grains layer and the filter base is drawn off in the one arranged below the filter base, by means of a single collecting device as first wort, strongly concentrated topping up, less concentrated topping up to smooth water. The lauter tuns and mash filters thus require not only a long lautering and breaking time in the known method, but also large spaces for their implementation in the breweries, whereby it is not possible to accelerate the process or otherwise influence it.
The invention has set itself the task of the process for lautering
of beer wort and whipping hopped wort more adaptable to the given conditions
to design and, above all, larger quantities as required in a smaller space. enforce.,
The invention relates to a method for lautering dier wort or cast-out
hopped wort and consists in the fact that the latter is spread on a moving filter belt
and by moving the filter belt over several collecting trays arranged below the filter base
Strongly concentrated topping up as first wort, less concentrated topping up and
Smooth water are drawn off separately, as well as the remaining water on the filter belt
Spent grain is removed from the filter belt by scraper or on a belt pulley.
The advantages achieved by the invention are to be seen in the fact that the process can be influenced by regulating the speed of the belt and by changing the layer thickness of the belt so that the continuous lautering of wort or hopped wort is made possible in a shorter time and in a smaller space has been. Above all, larger quantities can be lautered than in lauter tuns or mash filters. The processes are more easily separated from each other. The spent grains can also be leached out more intensively without losses, because the belt speed and grain size need to be quickly adapted to different conditions. The process can also be used to separate the - wort . of the hops after the boiling process can also be carried out continuously and adaptably to the respective amounts occurring, so that the hop straining has also been improved by the method of the invention. It remains to be emphasized that the removal of the spent grains and the cleaning of the device used for the process have been considerably simplified.
To speed up the process, the moving sieves can be additional

and to loosen up as well as to carry out the process within a protective gas atmosphere.

The device used to carry out the process consists, for example, of an endless conveyor belt with a feed chute arranged in the width of the conveyor belt for receiving the mash, as well as collecting trays with drainage pipes in the space between the upper and lower run and sparging pipes for the purpose of supplying leaching liquid. In front of the belt reversing roller, a bowl is advantageously provided for drawing off the smooth water so that the brewer can monitor the operation of the lauter device. Another device is e.g. B. -from individual, chained together or placed on a conveyor belt movable filter boxes with drain into a drainage channel. In the following the invention is explained with reference to a drawing showing an embodiment; 1 shows a schematic side view of a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the device according to FIG. 1, FIG. .. The device shown in Figures 2 and 3 for carrying out -. 3, a 4, another Abläutervorrichtung for performing the method in a schematic sectional view and Figure 5 a top view of the apparatus of Figure 4 top view of the apparatus of Figure 1. FIG. of the inventive method consists of a housing 1 having arranged therein endless, about drive and guide rollers 2a and 2b guided filter band 3 to the support of mash; in the space between upper and lower runs are drip trays 4 a and 4 b with waste pipes 5 for deriving #ER in the drip trays collected wort provided. For the topping up, spur pipes 6 are attached to the supply of the wash-out liquid for the spent grains. The mash passes continuously through the feed pipe 7, which in its upper part 7a expands to the filter belt width, via a guide plate 8 onto the filter belt 3, which moves at a constant speed in the direction of the arrows 9 , which apart from the drive and deflection rollers 2a and 2b also Has guide rollers 10. An adjustable distributor plate 11 serves to achieve a uniform layer height of the mash on the filter belt. The wort is filtered and separated from the spent grains by the filter belt and, to a lesser extent, by the spent grains settling on the belt. The wort passing through the upper belt strand 3a collects in the collecting trays 4 a and 4 b and is diverted through discharge pipes 5 into the wort kettle. To check the wort flowing off, 5 sight lights can be installed in the discharge pipes. While the filter belt 3 moves with the spent grains, the first wort runs into the collecting trays 4 a. The remaining spent grains are pressed against the filter belt 3 by a pressure plate 12 attached to the cover of the housing 1 and pressed out before they enter the refill. In the post-pour, d. H. In the second, larger section of the filter belt 3, the spent grains are washed out by water exiting from the nozzle openings 13 (FIG. 2) of the spruing pipes 6. In order to loosen the grains adhering more firmly to one another, a specially designed spray tube 14 is provided below the filter belt 3, which loosens the grains from below. The spills are collected in collecting trays 4 b and drained off through pipes 5 . Chamber 15 #Jas divided, in which the extract poorest replenishment is, the so-called plain water collects derived through a pipe 16, is controlled and spindled - at the end of the filter belt in front of the deflection pulley 2 is still a b of the drip tray.
The leached grains b by a stripper plate 17 to the guide roller 2 detached from the filter belt and fall into the spent grain auger 18. The Eilterband 3 is in the lower run through the spray nozzle assembly 19 barren of adhering Treberteilchen impurities cleaned and collected the dirty water in the bottom plates 20 of the housing and discharged through the sewage pipe 21. An endless fabric made of cloth, wire, etc. and smooth pulleys or segments with chain wheels or the like can be used for the filter belt.
According to FIGS. 4 and 5 , instead of a longer filter belt 3 , a plurality of shorter filter belts 3 b, 3 c and 3 d arranged one below the other can also be used. It is favorable for the uppermost band 3 b only for the lautering wort to use, the lower for the second worts. Compared to FIGS. 1 to 3, the guide rollers 10 and the spray nozzle tube 14 are omitted because loosening the spent grain is no longer necessary. The drive can be selected separately or jointly for each individual belt. It can be advantageous to vary the free passage area of the individual filter belts. The mash passes continuously through the feed pipe 7, which is widened to the bandwidth at the top, via a guide plate 8 onto the filter belt 3 b , which is moving at a constant speed. An adjustable distributor plate 11 is provided for even loading. The wort passing through the upper belt strand is collected in a collecting plate 4 a and discharged through a pipe 5 into the wort kettle. The speed of the belt is so dimensioned that has expired just before the guide roller 2 b the first wort. The remaining spent grains are in turn more or less pressed out by an adjustable pressure plate 12. Then, the grains fall by itself or by a Treberabstreifblech 17a via a chute 22 to the second band 3 c. The lower run of the upper belt is cleaned at the same time by means of appropriately arranged spruing tubes 6 located above the lower run of the first belt. The refills 4 are again collected in a further collecting tray 4 b and diverted through a further pipe 5. A third band 3c can also be provided for better leaching. The spent grains are then transported away by a screw 18 or the like.
To prevent excessive ventilation, the housing may
