Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a buoyant grilling device with a container with a base surface provided with recesses for the purpose of air supply and a plurality of side walls surrounding the base surface for holding charcoal or other heat-emitting glowing material, with a grill grate being attached above the base surface.

Grill devices of the type mentioned are known in the prior art in a large number of different configurations and are used to a large extent to offer amateur cooks a platform for grilling food in their free time.

The problem is always the fact that parts of the glowing charcoal used for grilling fall off the grill and set fire to dry grass or wood on the ground.

It often happens that a grilling process is to take place in a particularly attractive natural environment, in particular in the vicinity of a lake or river.

The known grilling devices all have the disadvantage that grilling cannot be carried out on the surface of a body of water, since shifting a grilling process from solid ground to the surface of a lake or river would rule out the risk of fire from the outset.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a grilling device with the aid of which a grilling process can be carried out on the surface of a body of water.

For a grilling device of the type mentioned above, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the base surface of the container is supported on a support structure containing a plurality of vertical struts, the lower ends of the struts remote from the container being supported collectively on two parallel support rails , which are mounted on the surface of a float whose dimensions are measured to form a tipping base for the container.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the subclaims, the elements of which act in the sense of a further improvement in the approach to solving the problem on which the invention is based.

In the grilling device according to the invention, with the aid of the combination of features that the base surface of the container is supported on a support structure containing a plurality of vertical struts, the lower ends of the struts remote from the container being supported collectively on two parallel support rails which are on the Surface of a floating body are stored, the dimensions of which are dimensioned to form a non-tilting basis for the container, achieved that a very safe feasible grilling process is enabled on the surface of a body of water.

According to another important preferred embodiment of the grilling device according to the invention, the area encompassed by the floating body is dimensioned to be at least the squared distance of the grilling grate from the support rails in order to form a non-tilting base for the container.

Alternatively, the area encompassed by the floating body can be dimensioned to be at least the squared total height of the container and the support structure in order to form a non-tilting base for the container.

The float is preferably formed from a hermetically sealed tube filled with air having a diameter in the range of 5 cm to 10 cm.

Furthermore, the tube is preferably bent into a rectangle, with two of the sides of the tube are aligned parallel to the support rails.

On both sides of the container, a storage panel for storing food to be grilled can be detachably attached to the carrier rails, and a watertight closable storage container for transporting raw food to be grilled can be detachably attached in the region of the ends of the carrier rails.

The reservoirs are generally, but not necessarily, anchored to the carrier rails by means of screws in the area of their end faces close to the carrier rails.
