Abstract

Grill device (100) with a container (110) with a base surface (111) provided with recesses for the purpose of air supply and a plurality of side walls (112, 113, 114, 115) surrounding the base surface (111) for receiving charcoal or another heat-emitting material to be annealed, a grill grate (120) being attached above the base surface (111), characterized in that the base surface (111) of the container (110) rests on a plurality of vertical struts (131, 132, 133, 134 ) containing carrier frame (130), the lower ends of the struts (131, 132, 133, 134) remote from the container (110) being supported collectively on two parallel carrier rails (141, 142) which are on the surface of a floating body (150) are stored, the dimensions of which are dimensioned to form a tilt-proof basis for the container (110).

Description

The invention relates to a buoyant grill device with a container with a base area provided with recesses for the purpose of air supply and a plurality of side walls surrounding the base area for receiving charcoal or other heat-emitting items to be annealed, a grill grate being attached above the base area.

Grill devices of the type mentioned are known in the prior art in a large number of different designs and are used to a large extent to offer hobby cooks a platform to grill food in their leisure time.

The problem is always that parts of the glowing charcoal used for grilling fall off the grill and set dry grass or wood on the ground on fire.

It often happens that a grilling process is to take place in a particularly attractive natural environment, in particular in the vicinity of a lake or river.

The known grilling devices all have the disadvantage that a grilling process cannot be carried out on the surface of a body of water, since relocating a grilling process from solid ground to the surface of a lake or river would exclude the risk of fire from the outset.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a grilling device with the aid of which a grilling process can be carried out on the surface of a body of water.

For a grill device of the type mentioned, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the base surface of the container is supported on a support frame containing a plurality of vertical struts, the lower ends of the struts remote from the container being supported collectively on two parallel support rails which are mounted on the surface of a floating body, the dimensions of which are dimensioned to form a non-tilting base for the container.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the subclaims, the elements of which act in the sense of a further improvement of the approach to the solution of the object on which the invention is based.

In the grill device according to the invention, with the help of the combination of features, the base surface of the container is supported on a support frame containing a plurality of vertical struts, the lower ends of the struts remote from the container being supported collectively on two parallel support rails which are supported on the Surface of a floating body are mounted, the dimensions of which are dimensioned to form a non-tilting basis for the container, achieves that a very safe grilling process is made possible on the surface of a body of water.

According to a first preferred embodiment of the grill device according to the invention it is provided that a first half of the struts of the support frame is supported on a first support rail and a second half of the struts of the support frame is supported on a second support rail.

According to a first preferred embodiment of the grill device according to the invention, the lower ends of the struts of the support structure remote from the container can be releasably and firmly connected to the respective support rail on corresponding hooks formed on the support rails.

A hook can be formed, for example, by a head of a screw introduced into a respective carrier rail.

According to an important preferred embodiment of the grill device according to the invention, the container and support frame have approximately the same height for reasons of stability.

According to another important preferred embodiment of the grill device according to the invention, the area encompassed by the floating body is dimensioned to be at least the squared distance of the grill grate from the support rails in order to form a non-tilting base for the container.

Alternatively, the area encompassed by the floating body can be dimensioned to at least the squared total height of the container and the support frame in order to form a non-tilting base for the container.

The floating body is preferably formed by an airtight, sealed, air-filled tube which has a diameter in the range from 5 cm to 10 cm.

Furthermore, the tube is preferably designed to be bent into a rectangle, two of the Sides of the tube are aligned parallel to the support rails.

On both sides of the container, a storage panel for placing food to be grilled can conveniently be detachably attached to the carrier rails, and in the area of the ends of the carrier rails, a watertight, lockable storage container for transporting raw grilled food can practically be detachably attached.

The storage containers are generally, but not necessarily, anchored to the carrier rails by means of screws in the region of their end faces close to the carrier rails.

The respective ends of a support rail are preferably bent upwards in order to reliably prevent an involuntary slipping out of a storage panel or a storage container.

The carrier rails can, for example, each be connected to the associated air-filled tube of the float via at least one pipe clamp.

In addition, an air-permeable protective plate is preferably attached directly above or below the base surface to prevent glowing items from falling through the grill grate.
