Abstract

In order to specify a saddle ride-on vehicle, the rear light of which is more visually recognizable for a vehicle diagonally behind it. A saddle-ride vehicle contains: a rear light 36 which is attached to a rear section of a vehicle body, a decorative element 141 being provided which overlaps the rear light 36 from above, and the tail lamp 36 has a luminous surface 360 which includes a protruding luminous surface 363 that protrudes outwardly in plan view from the decorative element in the width direction of the saddle-ride vehicle.

BACKGROUND

Technical area

The present invention relates to a ride-on saddle vehicle.

Related technology

In order to ensure a favorable visual perceptibility of the rear light of a saddle-ride vehicle, it has conventionally been known to provide a rear light which is exposed from an opening provided in a rear fairing (see, for example, FIG JP 2015-67084 A ). According to JP 2015-67084 A For example, the left and right ends of the upper side of the rear cover are cut out, and the rear light is provided in an integrated manner, with an upper luminous surface being exposed upward through the cutout of the rear cover.

SUMMARY

However, with the above configuration, it is difficult to improve diagonally rearward visual recognizability.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstance, and an object of the present invention is to provide a saddle-ride vehicle including a tail lamp whose diagonally rearward visual recognizability is better.

A ride-on saddle vehicle contains: a rear light ( 36 ) attached to a rear section of a vehicle body ( 1 ) is attached, with a decorative element ( 141 ) is provided that the rear light ( 36 ) overlaps from above, and the rear light ( 36 ) a luminous surface ( 360 ), which has a protruding luminous surface ( 363 ), which in plan view of the decorative element ( 141 ) protrudes outwards in the width direction of the ride-on semitrailer.

According to this configuration, the visual recognizability of the tail lamp for a vehicle diagonally behind can be improved without expanding the tail lamp in the width direction of the saddle-ride vehicle.

In the above configuration, when viewed from the side of the ride-on saddle vehicle, the decorative element does not necessarily laterally overlap the luminous surface of the rear lamp.

According to this configuration, the decorative element does not block the side light of the tail lamp in the vehicle body. The visual perceptibility of the rear light for a vehicle diagonally behind it can thus be improved.

In the above configuration, the decoration member can protrude rearward from the saddle vehicle via the tail lamp.

According to this configuration, the decorative member prevents an object such as raindrops splashing from above from coming into contact with the tail lamp.

In the above configuration, a gap may be provided between an upper side of the luminous surface of the tail lamp and a lower side of the decorative element.

According to this configuration, the light of the tail lamp emerges from between the tail lamp and the decorative element, resulting in an improvement in the visual recognizability of the tail lamp.

In the above configuration, when viewed from the side of the saddle vehicle, a gap between an upper side of the luminous area of the tail lamp and a lower side of the decoration member may be elongated in the front-and-rear direction of the saddle-seat vehicle.

According to this configuration, the light of the tail lamp is elongated in the front-and-rear direction of the saddle vehicle, so that the design possibilities of the tail lamps can be improved.

Further, in the above configuration, a tail lamp may be provided on the left and right above the rear portion of the vehicle body and overlap a part of the tail lamp from the outside in the width direction of the saddle vehicle, and, in a side view of the saddle vehicle, the luminous area may be exposed above an upper edge of the tail lamp.

According to this configuration, the diagonally rearward visual recognizability of the tail lamp can be improved.

In the above configuration, the rear cover may include installation surfaces individually provided on the left and right of the rear cover, the installation surfaces supporting the tail lamp from below, and the installation surfaces may be inclined upward outwardly on the left and right in the vehicle width direction of the ride-on vehicle.

According to this configuration, the tail lamp is stably installed on the tail cover.

In the above configuration, when viewed from the side of the saddle vehicle, the luminous area may be exposed under a lower edge of the rear cowl.

According to this configuration, the visual recognizability of the tail lamp for the driver of a vehicle with a low vehicle height can be improved.

In the above configuration, a license plate holder can overlap the rear lamp from below.

According to this configuration, the license plate holder prevents an object such as gravel splashing from below from coming into contact with the rear lamp.

In the above configuration, the decorative member may include a driver's seat.

In the above configuration, in plan view, the lighting surface of the tail lamp in the width direction of the saddle vehicle cannot have a discontinuity, and both end portions of the lighting surface in the width direction of the saddle vehicle can serve as the projecting lighting surface.

According to this configuration, with the single tail lamp, the projected luminous surface can be provided at both end portions in the width direction of the saddle vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

An embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the drawings. Unless otherwise specified in the description, the front (forward), rear (rearward), left, right, up (up), and down (down) directions are the same as those of a vehicle body. In each of the drawings, reference character FR denotes a front direction of the vehicle body, reference character UP denotes the upward direction of the vehicle body, and reference character LH denotes the left direction of the vehicle body.

1 Fig. 3 is a left side view of a motorcycle 1 in accordance with the practice of the present invention.

The motorcycle 1 is a vehicle that includes a front wheel 2, a rear wheel 3, a vehicle body frame 10, an engine 11, a front fork 12, and a swing arm 13. The vehicle body frame 10 carries the engine 11, which serves as a drive unit. The front fork 12, which supports the front wheel 2 in a steerable manner, is supported in a steerable manner at the front end of the vehicle body frame 10. The swing arm 13 supporting the rear wheel 3 is provided on the rear portion of the vehicle body frame 10.

The motorcycle 1 is a ride-on saddle vehicle on which a driver straddles a seat 14th sits, and the seat 14th is provided on the upper rear portion of the vehicle body frame 10.

The vehicle body frame 10 includes a head pipe (not shown), since there is provided at the front end of the vehicle body frame 10 a main frame 16 extending rearward from the head pipe, a sub-frame 17 connected to the rear portion 16a of the main frame 16 , and a pair of left and right center frames 18, which are arranged under the sub-frame 17.

The sub-frame 17 extends from the rear portion 16a of the main frame 16 rearward to the rear end of the motorcycle 1 .

The center frames 18 are not directly connected to the main frame 16. The center frames 18 are arranged at a distance behind and below the main frame 16.

Furthermore, the central frames 18 are not directly connected to the sub-frame 17, but are arranged at a distance below the sub-frame 17.

The sub-frame 17 is spaced above the center frame 18 and extends from the rear portion 16a of the main frame 16 to a position above the rear wheel 3. The seat 14th is arranged on the top of the rear portion of the sub-frame 17.

The front fork 12 is mounted on the head tube so that it can be steered to the left and right.

The front wheel 2 is supported on the lower end portion of the front fork 12. A handlebar 20 is attached to the upper end portion of the front fork 12.

The engine 11 includes a crankcase 26 that supports a crankshaft 25 and a cylinder portion 27 that extends upward from the front portion of the crankcase 26. The rear portion 26a of the crankcase 26 is a gearbox portion that houses a gearbox (not shown). The power of the motor 11 is transmitted to the rear wheel 3 through a driving force transmission member 24 that extends forward and rearward along the swing arm 13.

The lower portion of the main frame 16 is connected to the upper front portion of the crankcase 26.

The left and right center frames 18 are each disposed outside the rear portion 26a of the crankcase 26 and are attached to the rear portion 26a.

The motorcycle 1 is provided with a hinge 28 that connects the left and right center frames 18 in the width direction of the vehicle. The front end portion of the swing arm 13 is supported in the linkage 28, and the swing arm 13 is pivotable upwards and downwards about the linkage 28. The rear wheel 3 is supported on the rear end portion of the swing arm 13.

A rear strut 29 extends between the rear portion 26 a of the crankcase 26 and the front portion of the swing arm 13.

The motorcycle 1 includes a front panel 30 that covers the upper portion of the front fork 12 and the head tube from the front, and a side panel 31 that laterally covers the vehicle body below the front panel 30.

A front fender 32 is attached to the front fork 12.

A meter display 33 for displaying information such as vehicle speed is disposed behind the front cowl 30 and in front of the handlebar 20.

A pair of left and right mirror assemblies 35 are attached to the front bezel 30.

A rear light 36 is on the rear portion of the vehicle body of the motorcycle 1 appropriate. The rear light is on the rear section of the vehicle body 36 attached to the sub-frame 17 so that it extends rearward upward. The rear light 36 is attached to the rear end portion of the sub-frame 17 above the rear wheel 3. Incidentally, the section corresponds to the motorcycle 1 excluding the mirror devices 35, the exemplary vehicle body of the motorcycle 1 .

The seat 14th includes a front seat 14a for a driver and a rear seat 14b disposed behind the front seat 14a. The rear seat 14b has a stepped shape that is higher than the front seat 14a. Luggage can be placed on the rear seat 14b, or a passenger can sit on it. Incidentally, contains a decorative element described below 141 the rear seat 14b.

A tail fairing 41 is integrally provided on the rear portion of the sub-frame 17 on which the seat 14th is placed. The tail fairing 41 extends along the left and right side surfaces of the rear light 36 to the rear.

A license plate holder 37 is on the rear portion of the sub-frame 17 and under the tail lamp 36 appropriate. The approval label holder 37 extends from the sub-frame 17 over the rear wheel 3 to the rear. The approval label holder 37 carries turn signal lamps 38 and a license plate 39 on the rear portion of the vehicle body. The turn signal lamps 38 are individually on the left and right portions of the license plate carrier 37 appropriate. The approval label 39 is on the rear end portion of the approval label carrier 37 appropriate.

The rear section of the motorcycle 1 contains the rear seat 14b, which is the decorative element 141 contains the rear light 36 covers from above. The decorative element 141 stands above the rear light 36 backwards forwards. In plan view has the decorative element 141 a substantially triangular table shape the length of which decreases toward the rear in the width direction of the vehicle.

The tail fairing 41 is under the decorative element 141 arranged. The tail fairing 41 extends left and right over the vehicle body. The rear fairing extends in plan view 41 rearward and from the outside in the width direction of the vehicle to the inside in the width direction thereof. In side view of the vehicle is the upper edge 411 the tail fairing 41 essentially horizontal and is the bottom edge 412 the tail fairing 41 sloping upwards going backwards. The rear light 36 is between the left and right sides of the tail fairing 41 arranged.

In plan view, the rear light has an approximately triangular shape, the length of which decreases in the width direction of the vehicle towards the rear. The tail fairing 41 overlaps part of the rear light 36 from the outside in the width direction of the vehicle.

The rear light 36 contains a housing (not shown) which carries a light source (not shown) and a cover plate covering the light source. The cover plate serves as a luminous surface 360 . The one from the tail fairing 41 exposed section of the tail light 36 is the illuminated area 360 . The light source inside the rear light 36 lights up in such a way that the luminous area 360 shines. The illuminated area 360 contains an upper luminous surface 361, which has an approximately triangular shape in plan view, and a lower luminous surface 362 which has an approximately quadrangular shape in a bottom view.

In the side view of the vehicle, the upper luminous surface 361 lies above the upper edge 411 the tail fairing 41 free. The upper luminous surface 361 has no discontinuity in the width direction of the vehicle between the left and right sides of the tailgate 41 . The upper luminous surface 361 has a substantially flat shape that faces upward.

The decorative element 141 overlaps the upper luminous surface 361 from above, and therefore, in plan view, there is a protruding luminous surface 363 from the decorative element 141 outward in the width direction of the vehicle. In plan view, in the width direction of the vehicle, the maximum width W1 of the front portion 361a of the upper luminous surface 361 is longer than the length of the decoration member 141 in the width direction of the vehicle that overlaps the upper luminous surface 361.

The decorative element extends in plan view 141 forwards and backwards over the middle section of the upper luminous surface 361. The left and right side edges 144 of the decorative element 141 extend inward in the width direction of the vehicle. In plan view, at the front portion 361a, the width W1 in the width direction of the vehicle is wider than the decorative member overlapping the front portion 361a 141 ,, and the inclination angles of the left and right side edges 366 of the upper luminous surface 361 to the width direction of the vehicle are greater than the inclination angles of the decoration member 141 to the width direction of the vehicle. Thus, in plan view, the upper luminous surface 361, on the rear section 361b of the upper luminous surface 361, is of the decorative element 141 covered, and there is the protruding luminous surface 363 on, in the width direction of the vehicle, both end portions of the upper luminous surface 361, one at a time from the side edges 144 of the decorative element 141 protrude. In plan view, the protruding luminous area has 363 a substantially triangular shape the width of which decreases in the width direction of the vehicle rearward. The protruding luminous area 363 has a length L1 in the front-and-rear direction of the vehicle and a length L2 in the width direction of the vehicle, which is shorter than the length L1 .

The rear fairing is seen from above 41 in the width direction of the vehicle outside the protruding luminous area 363 .

As in 3 shown, overlaps the decorative element 141 , in the side view of the vehicle, the upper luminous surface 361 is not.

Between the decorative element 141 and the upper luminous surface 361 is a gap 143 . The gap 143 is located between the bottom 142 of the decorative element 141 and the top 364 the upper luminous area 361.

The bottom 142 of the decorative element 141 and the top 364 of the upper luminous surface 361 are essentially parallel to one another. Thus, there is a predetermined distance d1 between the top 364 and the bottom 142 for the gap 143 available. Incidentally, the luminous area 361 has a length L3 in the front-and-rear direction of the vehicle which is sufficiently larger than the length L4 of the gap 143 in the up-and-down direction, and is the gap 143 elongated in the front-and-rear direction of the vehicle, in its side view. Incidentally, the length L4 corresponds to the height from the upper edge 411 to the top 364 .

The gap 143 allows light from the upper luminous surface 361 in the vehicle to pass laterally through the gap 143 is released, resulting in an improvement in the visual recognizability of the rear light 36 results.

The lower luminous area 362 lies under the lower edge 412 the tail fairing 41 , in side view, free. The approval label holder 37 is under the rear light 36 arranged. The approval label holder 37 is provided at the center in the width direction of the vehicle. The first installation surface 414 and the second installation surface 415 are inclined upward outward in the width direction of the vehicle. The first installation surface 414 has a smaller inclination in the width direction of the vehicle than the second installation surface 415. In plan view, the second installation surface 415 has an approximately circular arc shape protruding outward in the width direction of the vehicle.

The installation areas 413 are individually on the left and right of the rear fairing 41 arranged. The rear light 36 is on the installation surfaces 413 which are spaced from each other in the width direction of the vehicle. Thus, the rear light 36 from the tail fairing 41 be kept stable, with the middle section of the rear light 36 from the tail fairing 41 exposed. Primarily, each first installation surface 414 receives a downward load from the tail lamp 36 , and the corresponding second installation surface 415 receives a load in the width direction of the vehicle from the tail lamp 36 so that the appropriate installation area 413 the rear light 36 can keep stable.

In the present embodiment, the installation surfaces extend 413 along the inner shape of the rear fairing 41 . However, as the installation area 413 , also a plate member can be arranged that extends from the rear fairing 41 is independent and is inclined upward outward in the width direction of the vehicle.

Relating to 7th a case will now be described in which the motorcycle 1 is visually recognizable diagonally from behind. In the case where the motorcycle 1 can be seen diagonally from behind, have the side edges 144 of the decorative element 141 each have a shape that extends substantially parallel to the front-and-rear direction of the vehicle. The tail fairing 41 has a shape that extends substantially parallel to the side edges 144. In the gap 143 between the decorative element 141 and the tail fairing 41 , with the protruding luminous area 363 as the front end in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, the upper luminous surface 361 is continuously exposed from the front portion 361a to the rear portion 361b along the side edges 144. The lower luminous surface 362 has a shape that extends diagonally downward from the rear portion 361b of the upper luminous surface 361 going forward.

The decorative element 141 which covers the upper luminous area 361 enables the unnecessary upward emission area from the upper luminous area 361 to be reduced. A vehicle traveling on a lane adjacent to the lane on which the motorcycle is traveling 1 drives, is, diagonally behind the motorcycle 1 , the rear portion of the vehicle body of the motorcycle 1 vicinity. In this case, the amount of light becomes diagonal from the tail lamp 36 to the rear through the decorative element 141 and the tail fairing 41 decreased. Thus, the amount of light from the tail light is 36 an adequate amount of light to the vehicle diagonally behind it.

In addition, there is the protruding luminous area 363 in plan view of the decorative element 141 free. Thus, even in a case where a vehicle with an elevated driver's seat such as a truck is near the motorcycle 1 drives, the visual recognizability of the rear light 36 better.

As described above, according to the embodiment to which the present invention is applied, includes the motorcycle 1 : the rear light 36 , which is attached to the rear portion of the vehicle body, wherein the decorative element 141 is provided that the rear light 36 overlapped from above, with the rear light 36 the illuminated area 360 has, which the protruding luminous surface 363 Contains the top view of the decorative element 141 protrudes outward in the width direction of the vehicle.

The decorative element 141 overlaps the illuminated area 360 the rear light 36 , in the side view of the vehicle, not on the side.

According to this configuration, the decorative element blocks 141 the side light of the rear light 36 not in the body of the vehicle. The visual perceptibility of the rear light for a vehicle diagonally behind it can thus be improved.

The decorative element 141 stands from the vehicle via the rear light 36 out to the rear forwards.

According to this configuration, the decorative element prevents 141 that an object such as raindrops splashing from above with the rear light 36 get in touch. Furthermore, the decorative element prevents 141 that an object coming close from behind with the rear light 36 comes into contact.

The gap 143 is between the top 364 the illuminated area 360 the rear light 36 and the bottom 142 of the decorative element 141 intended.

Claims (12)

A ride-on saddle vehicle, characterized in that it comprises: a rear lamp (36) which is attached to a rear portion of a vehicle body (1), wherein a decorative element (141) is provided which overlaps the rear lamp (36) from above, and the rear lamp (36) has a luminous surface (360) which contains a protruding luminous surface (363) which protrudes outward in plan view from the decorative element (141) in the width direction of the ride-on saddle vehicle. The ride-on semitrailer after Claim 1 wherein the protruding luminous surface (363) has a length (L1) in the front-and-rear direction of the saddle vehicle and a length (L2) in the width direction of the saddle vehicle that is shorter than the length (L1).
