Abstract

The invention relates to a corner tape for sealing room edges. According to a preferred embodiment, the corner adhesive tape has a carrier layer with an adhesive layer arranged thereon on the wall side. It also has a crease line and a cut protection strip on the room side, which is arranged on one side of the crease line.

Description

The invention relates to a corner tape for sealing room edges, for example at transitions from the floor to a vertical wall.

When sealing wet areas such as bathrooms, room corners and edges are particularly problematic. The present invention was therefore based on the object of providing means for sealing room corners and edges which are easy to process and offer a secure seal.

This object is achieved by a corner adhesive tape according to claim 1, by an edge structure according to claim 6 and by a method for producing such an edge structure. Advantageous configurations are contained in the subclaims.

The carrier layer is preferably made impermeable to water, so that the corner adhesive tape can act as a moisture barrier. Furthermore, the adhesive layer can be arranged as a separate material on the carrier layer or else be formed by the material of the carrier layer itself.

The cut protection strip is a material which, due to its consistency, is cut resistant to conventional machining with a tool, for example compared to cutting with a cutter knife. The cut protection strip can contain, for example, a cut-resistant fabric made of metal, textile or plastic.

The crease line divides the corner tape into two parts, which form opposite sides of the crease line. In this sense, the cut protection strip is only arranged on one of these two sides. It preferably runs directly along the kink line.

The kink line can preferably be designed as a weakening of the material of the carrier layer and / or the adhesive layer, e.g. as a groove and / or perforation.

The corner tape has the advantage that it can be laid neatly along the edge of the room when it is being laid thanks to the specified kink line. Furthermore, the cut protection strip does not have to be kinked as it is only on one side of the kink line.

The carrier layer preferably contains a foam plastic or consists entirely of it. The foam plastic can for example contain or consist of one of the materials polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), silicone, cellular rubber, acrylate foam (acrylic foam) and / or polyurethane (PUR). Furthermore, the foam plastic can be broken down into open cells or preferably closed cells, and it can be designed with or without a foam skin. The adhesive layer can in particular contain or consist of at least one of the following materials: butyl, synthetic rubber, acrylic foam, hotmelt, pure or UV-crosslinked acrylate adhesive and / or dispersion adhesive.

Before processing, the adhesive layer is preferably covered by a release film. This peel-off film is advantageously divided along the crease line, for example by a continuous dividing line or at least one perforation. The peel-off film can then only be peeled off on one side of the crease line, around the corner tape to be glued in stages. The division of the peel-off film also serves to mark the crease line.

According to a further embodiment, the adhesive layer is spaced apart from at least one (longitudinal) edge of the carrier layer. Such a protrusion of the carrier layer makes it possible to grasp the corner tape without tacking it during processing.

Furthermore, the cut protection strip is advantageously reversibly glued to the carrier layer. Its position can then be corrected at any time, if necessary, by peeling it off the carrier layer and re-gluing it elsewhere.
