Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Brandabschluss, umfassend eine in einer Wand (1, 1') angeordnete Öffnung (2), eine die Öffnung (2) zumindest teilweise umrandende Zarge (3) und einen bewegbaren Türkörper (4) zum Verschließen der Öffnung (2). Die Zarge (3) weist seitlich zu der Öffnung (2) angeordnet einen Bandstab (3a) und einen Schlossstab (3b) sowie einen über der Öffnung (2) angeordneten und den Bandstab mit dem Schlossstab verbindenden Kopfstab (3c) auf. Die Zarge weist einen lichten Durchgangsbereich mit einer lichten Durchgangsbreite (b) und einer lichten Durchgangshöhe (h) auf. Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Brandabschluss, umfassend eine in einer Wand angeordnete Öffnung, eine die Öffnung zumindest teilweise umrandende Zarge und einen bewegbaren Türkörper zum Verschließen der Öffnung. Die Zarge weist dabei seitlich zu der Öffnung angeordnet einen Bandstab und einen Schlossstab sowie einen über der Öffnung angeordneten und den Bandstab mit dem Schlossstab verbindenden Kopfstab auf. Die Fähigkeit derartiger Brandabschlüsse, einer Beanspruchung durch ein Feuer zu widerstehen und den Durchtritt von Flammen und Rauch zu verhindern wird im Rahmen von üblichen Normen ermittelt und klassifiziert. Die Brandschutzklasse hängt dabei wesentlich von der Ausgestaltung des Türkörpers, der Zarge sowie der dazwischen angeordneten Dichtkonfiguration ab. Höhere Brandschutzeinstufungen erfordern dabei regelmäßig einen größeren Materialeinsatz und teurere Materialien. Insbesondere wird eine Verbesserung der Brandschutzklasse leicht durch eine Verstärkung des Türkörpers zu erzielen sein. Diese ist jedoch je nach Einsatzzweck aus ästhetischen Überlegungen oder Bedienungsgründen nicht möglich bzw. unerwünscht. Infolge der Verkleinerung des lichten Durchgangsbereiches wird in der Querrichtung und/oder der Vertikalrichtung die Überdeckung zwischen dem Türkörper und der Zarge im geschlossenen Zustand vergrößert. Im Bereich der hinzugewonnenen Überdeckung können sich die um das Ergänzungsprofil erweiterte Zarge und der Türkörper gegenseitig im Brandfall abkühlen und stabilisieren, wodurch die Temperaturlastung in den Eckbereichen reduziert wird. Der verlängerte Überdeckungsbereich ermöglicht zusätzlich eine verbesserte Abdichtung zwischen Türkörper und Zarge, sodass ein Durchtritt von Flammen und/oder Rauchgasen weiter reduziert werden kann. Das erfindungsgemäße Ergänzungsprofil hat den Vorteil, dass es sich nahezu beliebig mit bestehenden Brandabschlüssen kombinieren lässt.
