Description
The invention relates to a heater with an interior in which an air duct is arranged, which consists at least partially of plastic. An electric heater is disposed in an air flow direction of air behind a fan.
Heating fans are known in the market, in which an electric heater is arranged in an air duct. A fan creates a flow of air that is blown through the radiator and heated in the radiator. For devices that are at least partially made of plastic, advantageously PTC radiators are used. These are physically subject to a thermal self-regulation, that is, in the absence of air flow, they do not overheat, so that the radiator thermally self-regulates to a safety temperature.
The object of the invention is to reduce the heating of the plastic parts in the proper and improper operation and to allow a flat design of the fan heater.
The problem is solved by the features of claim one.
The fan has a fan of a radial fan with a first suction side and a second suction side, which are separated by a partition wall. The first suction side is opened to a first air inlet opening, through which during operation a first air flow is sucked from the outside through the first suction side. The second suction side is arranged to a fan space of the fan heater and the second suction side is connected by ventilation with second air inlet openings. Furthermore, the fan is advantageously arranged in front of a ceramic heating element of the electric heating element, so that the first and the second air flow flow through the heating element.
Advantageously, a guide wall is arranged in the interior through which the fan space is formed. Thus, at least a part of the second air flow is guided to the second suction side.
In a preferred embodiment, the fan space is located between the second suction side and the second air inlet opening. During operation of the heater, air flows from an interior space into the second suction side.
According to a further aspect of the invention, the fan has a blow-out opening through which a total air flow is conducted to the radiator during operation of the fan heater. Furthermore, the heater is arranged in the air flow direction behind the discharge side.
Preferably, the second air inlet opening is arranged in the rear wall.
In particular, the first air inlet opening has a larger opening area than the second air inlet opening. The first air inlet opening preferably makes up about 55% to 90% of the total opening area of the first and the second lift inlet openings. Furthermore, during operation of the fan heater, the mass flow of the first air flow is greater than the mass flow of the second air flow. The mass flow through the first opening is in particular about 60% to 80% of the total mass flow.
In one embodiment, the fan of the fan on first blades, which are arranged to the first suction side. Furthermore, it has second blades of the fan, which are arranged to the second suction side.
According to the invention, the first blades and the second blades of the fan wheel are separated by a partition wall.
Finally, it is advantageous that the first blades are larger than the second blades, in particular at least 30 to 70%, in particular about 50% larger.
Advantageously, a flat construction can be realized, in which the air intake preferably takes place through a rear wall from the rear, which is preferably also intended to be connected to a mounting wall. The suction thus takes place through the rear wall via a radial fan, in which the air flow is deflected by 90 °, wherein according to the invention radial fan two air flows are supplied from two sides axially.
Advantageously, the partition is provided for separating the two air streams. On the one side of the partition, first blades are arranged, which are preferably larger than second blades on the other side of the partition. The partition is preferably cup-shaped towards the first suction side, wherein a fan motor, in particular with a needle, is arranged in the region of the partition formed as a pot.
Furthermore, the fan motor is so far in the fan that it is surrounded, so to speak, in the pot, so preferably in the partition and by the first blades. This creates two intake areas. A more or less direct area through the first air inlet opening and a second through the second air inlet opening, wherein the air flow through the second air inlet openings is first sucked through the interior of the fan heater and sucks the waste heat produced there, in particular from the radiator through the second air flow.
By the second air inlet openings of the interior of the fan heater, in particular the area between the front and an air duct, even at a standstill of the fan heater is ventilated. Thus, the residual heat emitted by the radiator is delivered to a convection flow of air, which can flow through the device, in particular from bottom to top, through the second air inlet openings. The second air intake openings serve as inlet openings for the second air flow during operation of the fan heater when the fan motor drives the fan.
Advantageously, the air duct consists at least partially or entirely of plastic.
At standstill of the device, a part of the second air inlet openings advantageously serves as an inlet opening for cooling air and another part of the second air inlet openings as an outlet opening for the convection air flowing through the device. At standstill, cool air flows through the second air inlet openings, which are arranged at the bottom in the rear wall in the region of the air outlet, into the device. Through the second air inlet openings, which are preferably arranged above the fan in the rear wall of the device, the at least slightly heated convection air flows out of the heater at standstill.
A controller is spatially separated from the fan by a guide wall. Thus, the second air flow divides into two partial flows, a first partial flow of the second air flow flows past the regulator, while a larger, second partial flow of the second air flow flows from the second air inlet openings to the fan. Thus, the controller is slightly cooled by a small partial flow, whereby it is flowed during operation of the heater in about the room temperature or the air at room temperature.
At standstill of the heater also flows an air flow of room air through the second air inlet openings, preferably in the back wall below the air outlet grille through the rear wall, in the device and flows through the guide wall separately to the controller. Thus, the controller is continuously supplied with room air during operation of the heater and also at standstill of the fan.
Furthermore, at least one or two safety temperature limiters are advantageously present on or in the region of the radiator. These safety temperature limiters are equipped as a two-point controller and / or also advantageously as a melt flow fuse.
Particularly advantageous and safe is the execution of two Sicherheitsstemperaturbegrenzer PTC radiator on the one hand with a two-point controller with a first safety switching temperature and with a melt flow fuse with a second safety temperature, the switching temperature of the two-point controller is advantageously lower than the second safety temperature of the fuse. This ensures that, in the event of a fault, the two-position controller initially causes the radiator to be switched off and thus a safe condition of the heating fan is achieved. If the two-position controller fails, the radiator would heat the device again and trigger the melt solder fuse, which prevents overheating.
For air guidance, a pre-grid with air baffles is advantageously provided in the air duct. Hereby, the air flow that has formed behind the radiator, deflected a first time. Preferably, the baffles or baffles are arranged substantially horizontally. Behind the first air grille, the air outlet grille is advantageously arranged, which has a part of the air outlet openings directed to the ground and another part forward towards the front. The baffles or baffles of the first baffle and the air outlet grid are advantageously arranged at an angle to each other to prevent the ingress of spray water.
Advantageously, the fan heater is equipped with a device for attachment to a mounting wall. At least the first air flow is advantageously sucked during operation of the fan between the mounting wall, which is not shown, and the rear wall in the fan heater. The rear wall is thus attached to the mounting wall with the wall mounting, not shown, and thus also the entire fan heater.
Advantageously, the fan has a fan wheel of a radial fan, advantageously with a first suction side and a second suction side, which are separated by a partition on.
According to another idea, the regulator is largely separated from the fan space by the guide wall.
The common air flow delivered by the fan through an air outlet, which is formed by the first and the second air flow, is advantageously heated by a ceramic PTC heating element.
