The loop tape or adhesive tape of the second fastening system preferably runs approximately parallel and adjacent to the Velcro tape attached to the pocket opening. Preferably, the loop tape or adhesive tape of the second closure system extends in the vicinity of the longitudinal edge along which the cover flap is hinged to the item of clothing or the carrier bag in the area of the pocket opening. The free end of the cover flap thus reaches the furthest into the interior of the bag when it is inserted, while the loop tape of the cover flap is folded over onto the Velcro strip adjacent to it in the bag.

The cover flap can, for example, be a flap with an approximately rectangular outline, in particular if the pocket has approximately rectangular inner side surfaces in outline. The cover flap is thus a kind of cloth flap which has a free end and an end at which it is connected to the item of clothing or the carrier bag. However, of course, virtually any other contours of the cover flap are also possible, for example this could be approximately triangular in outline and taper to a point at its free end. Rounded outlines are of course also possible. The cover flap can be dimensioned differently and can thus protrude more or less far into the pocket when it is pushed into it. So it does not have to cover the entire inside surface of the bag on one side, because it is sufficient if the cover flap only covers the Velcro strip in the inserted position. The term “cover flap” is used in the context of the present application for a flap-like fabric element and the term “flap” used here is in no way intended to mean that it is a narrow piece of fabric. The dimensions of the cover flap in the transverse direction and in the longitudinal direction can for example also be approximately the same.

The closure device according to the invention serves here as a fabric size adjuster, e.g. can be used as a pant length shortener or as a pant width narrower. This is helpful when pants are to be worn shorter in summer or longer in winter, depending on the situation, or when cycling when the pants are to fit tightly around the lower leg so that no contact with the mudguard or chain can occur. In contrast to the state of the art mentioned at the beginning, in this variant of the invention the cover flap is located after the garment has been turned over for the purpose of narrowing on the outside (i.e. facing away from the body of the person wearing the garment.) When turned over, the sections of the garment can be folded over in parallel which results in a shapely appearance according to the cut of the clothing. An oblique displacement of the folded-over sections can therefore be avoided. The cover flap can serve as an additional haptic element (flatterer) both when the first locking system is open and when it is closed.

Instead of a bare cloth for covering, a fixed closure unit is selected according to the invention, which prevents a cloth that is not firmly connected to the closure unit to be covered from slipping and closure components such as a hook tape are exposed, whereby elements that cause skin irritation or injuries can act unprotected on the skin. A targeted covering of a hook tape is thus possible.

Compared with the prior art cited above and in contrast thereto, the closure system is active in particular on the outside of the clothing. This is particularly important when there is a lot of exercise.

According to the invention, it is a matter of narrowing the material of a coherent material and not of two different layers of material that are superimposed. This is particularly important in the outdoor industry and for autumn and winter clothing, because here no rainwater and no cold is possible through the mere Velcro connection between the two levels as in the prior art cited above, because according to the invention there is a coherent fabric underneath is located, which can consist of weatherproof material.

Because there are not two different fabric levels lying on top of each other, but two adjacent coherent fabric levels, whereby the attached fabric is carried along on the same level by folding over to the closure unit, twice as much fabric can be narrowed, for example, with a comparably equal closure area with conventional knee breeches.

The various above-described variants of the closure device according to the invention are thus suitable for closing an opening (e.g. pocket opening), bridging a gap (e.g. closing a jacket) or adjusting the fabric size (e.g. turning a trouser leg), which is advantageous in all cases is that rough hook tape can be covered (to avoid injuries) and the cover flap can be used in an additional function, for example as a hand flatterer, when it is not fixed.
