Repeated washing often causes textiles to harden and lose their softness. To give textiles their softness / flexibility to give them a pleasant fragrance and / or to improve their antistatic properties, the textiles are treated after the actual washing and cleaning process in a subsequent rinsing process with a fabric softener.

Most fabric softeners on the market are aqueous formulations containing as the main active ingredient a cationic fabric softening compound having one or two long-chain alkyl groups in one molecule. Commonly used cationic fabric softening compounds include, for example, methyl N- (2-hydroxyethyl) -N, N-di (tallowacyloxyethyl) ammonium compounds or N, N-dimethyl-N, N-di (tallowacyloxyethyl) ammonium compounds.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a solid textile treatment agent comprising a water-soluble carrier comprising a fabric-care composition and a perfume which is simple and inexpensive to produce.

Surprisingly, it has been found that by using a diol which is liquid at 23 ° C., a solid textile-care compound is obtained which is cheap and easy to prepare.
