Diese ist Voraussetzung für die zweite Funktion, nämlich die Missbrauchssicherung, bei welcher die Übertragung des Drehmomentes unterbrochen wird, indem der Handhebel und das eine der Beschlagteile relativ zueinander in Anschlag gebracht werden, so dass das Drehmoment das besagte Beschlagteil beaufschlagt, also wirkungslos ist. Dadurch werden die inneren Bauteile des Beschlags geschützt. Dies ist insbesondere für die Drehung in der Verriegelungsrichtung wichtig, weil dann die inneren Bauteile des Beschlags bereits ihre Endposition einnehmen und eine weitere Beaufschlagung durch die Übertragungsstange unmittelbar zu Beschädigungen führen würde. Die zweite Funktion des Anschlagmoduls als Missbrauchssicherung kann aber auch dahingehend erweitert werden, dass das Anschlagmodul auch wirksam wird, wenn der Beschlag entriegelt ist, und die Übertragungsstange weiter in die Entriegelungsrichtung gedreht wird. Das Anschlagmodul begrenzt dann den Winkelbereich für die Betätigung des Handhebels. Eine dritte Funktion kann das Entklappern sein, indem das Anschlagmodul mittels einer Rückstellfeder in Anschlag an den Beschlag gehalten wird, was (unterhalb der Vorspannung der Rückstellfeder) eine Relativbewegung der mit dem Anschlagmodul in Wirkverbindung stehenden Übertragungsstange verhindert. Um die Rückstellfeder baulich aufzunehmen, ist das Anschlagmodul vorzugsweise topfförmig ausgebildet.
