Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) mit Aufladung und mit einem Abgasnachbehandlungssystem, das einen motornahe angeordneten Katalysator (4), einen stromab angeordneten Abgasturbolader (5) sowie eine Nacheinspritzeinrichtung (10) zum Einbringen einer zusätzlichen Kraftstoffmenge in den Abgasstrom stromauf des Katalysators (4) umfasst. Ferner ist noch eine Abgasrückführleitung (9) im Abgasstrang zwischen Katalysator (4) und Abgasturbolader (5) vorgesehen. DOLLAR A Um den Systemwirkungsgrad zu verbessern, wird durch eine Steuerung der zusätzlich über die Nacheinspritzeinrichtung (10) in den Abgasstrom eingebrachten Kraftstoffmenge die Wärmeenergie des den Abgasturbolader beaufschlagenden Abgasmassenstromes derart verändert, dass neben einer Verbesserung des Ansprechverhaltens der Brennkraftmaschine (1) eine überschüssige Aufladeenergie am Abgasturbolader (5) erzeugt werden kann, die über eine Starter-Generator-Einheit (12) als elektrische Energie in einer Batterie (12) gespeichert und zur Unterstützung des Abgasturboladers (5) oder anderer Systeme genutzt werden kann.
