Abstract

Se describe un sistema de super-turboalimentador (100) que incrementa la potencia y la eficiencia de un motor (102). El sistema utiliza las propiedades exotérmicas de un convertidor catalítico (116) para extraer la energía adicional proveniente del calor de los gases de exhaustación que se utiliza para agregar potencia al motor. Además se suministra una cantidad suficiente de aire comprimido a los gases de exhaustación para mantener la temperatura de la mezcla gaseosa a un nivel de temperatura sustancialmente óptimo. La mezcla gaseosa se aplica a la turbina (106) del super-turboalimentador, el cual incrementa el rendimiento de dicho super-turboalimentador, que incrementa la potencia y eficiencia de dicho motor (102).
