Der Luftfilterkas­ ten 9 ist seitlich vom Antriebsmotor 2 mit Anschlüssen 10 für die Luftschläuche versehen. Wesentliche Teile des hohlen Körpers des Luftfilterkastens 9 sind als Crashbox ausgebildet, und zwar in der Art, dass senkrecht auf die Fläche der Motorhaube 6 auftretende Kräfte, welche zu ei­ ner Verformung der Motorhaube 6 bis zum Luftfilterkasten 9 führen, bei weiterer Verformung in einer definierten Weise abgestützt werden, wobei sich die als Crashbox aus­ gebildeten Teile des Luftfilterkastens 9 bei gleichzeiti­ ger Energieaufnahme verformen. Als Verformungsweg steht dabei der ohnehin aus Funktionsgründen im Luftfilterkas­ ten 9 erforderliche Hohlraum zur Verfügung.
