The present invention relates to a saddle carrier for bicycles, motor vehicles and the like. According to a known device of such saddle carriers, the same consists of two tubular ones Legs which are rigidly connected to each other and of which one leg is usually a little inclined and fits into the tube of the bicycle frame, which is from the seat post leads to the crank bearing, while the other leg of the saddle carrier extends horizontally forward and receives the saddle by a clamping device.
The saddle carrier corresponding to the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. Ι is a side view, partly in Cut of a safety bike with the new saddle rack.
Fig. 2 shows a saddle carrier with the legs turned back, around the frame part to make accessible for the pump.
Fig. 3 ist eine Seitenansicht,Fig. 3 is a side view,
Fig. 4 eine Oberansicht des Sattelträgers allein undFig. 4 is a top view of the saddle carrier alone and
Fig. 5 zeigt, denselben mit zurückgeschlagenem horizontalen Schenkel.Fig. 5 shows the same with the horizontal leg turned back.
According to the invention, the legs A and B, instead of being rigidly connected to each other as before , are hingedly connected by the bolt C , so that the leg A, to which the saddle D is attached, with this saddle sufficiently far around the hinge pin C. can be folded around (Fig. 2), that the introduction of the air pump or other tool in the open end of the other leg B respectively. can be done in the tube E , which BEZW from the seat post. the connecting piece F of the frame to the crank bearing G extends. In this way, the pump is carried more comfortably and better than is usually the case with brackets or straps on the saddle frame. Another advantage of the saddle post described above is that when the saddle is turned back (Fig. 2), the seat part of the saddle is protected against rain, and that the saddle can also be locked in this position by means of a slat or something similar. can take place so that use by unauthorized persons or the theft of the bicycle is less likely to be feared ..
A bildenThe connection of the horizontal leg ^ 4 and the saddle carrier with the other leg B, which fits into the frame tube E , is such that when the saddle and the leg A of the carrier are folded forward, the articulated connection experiences a fixation, ie A stop prevents the leg A from moving too far. The hinge pin C, which connects the two legs A and B to one another, is appropriately located somewhat behind the leg B, which enters the tube E of the frame, according to the illustration; the leg B receives at the top an approach b l through which the bolt C leads and around which side tabs λ 1 λ ' 2 grip, which approaches of the horizontal leg A form
If the horizontal leg A of the saddle support is rotated around the hinge pin C and knocked back (FIGS. 2 and 5), the other pipe leg B is completely accessible. When the leg A has been brought into the horizontal position (Figs. 1 and 3), the part a s of the forked end of the leg A lies against the other leg B and in this way forms a stop which prevents the movement of the leg A limited. If necessary, the top hole in the pipe leg B of the saddle carrier, which leads to the bicycle frame, can be closed permanently or temporarily by a cap or some other device. If there is a permanent closure, the tube part E of the bicycle rack cannot be used to hold the air pump or other tools; In this case too, however, the saddle carrier has the advantage that the saddle D and the leg A can be folded back, as previously described, and in this way they can be attached or removed. unauthorized use of the saddle is excluded; in this way it is also easy to examine the lower side of the saddle.
