Abstract

Ένα μέσο αποθηκεύσεως οπτικών δεδομένων διπλής στοιβάδος (20) περιγράφεται δια ανάγνωση με χρησιμοποίηση μιας εστιασμένης δέσμης μέσου (29) με ένα μήκος κύματος 400-410 nm και ενός αριθμητικού ανοίγματος (ΝΑ) 0.84-0.86. Το μέσο έχει ένα υπόστρωμα (21) και μια πρώτη στοιβάδα στρώσεων που ονομάζεται L0 (22) και περιέχουν μια πρώτη στρώση πληροφορίας και μια δευτέρα στοιβάδα στρώσεων που ονομάζεται L1 (24), και περιέχει μια δευτέρα στρώση πληροφορίας. Μια διαφανής παρεμβαλλoμένη στοιβάς (24) δέσμης ακτινοβολίας (29) ευρίσκεται μεταξύ L0 και L1. Μια στοιβάς μεταδόσεως που ονομάζεται TS0 με πάχος dTso και αποτελεσματικό δείκτη διαθλάσεως nTso που περιέχει όλες τις στρώσεις μεταξύ L0 και μιας όψεως εισόδου (26) του μέσου (20). Μια στοίβας μεταδόσεως που ονομάζεται TS1 με πάχος dTs1 και αποτελεσματικό δείκτη διαθλάσεως nsτ1 που περιέχει όλες τις στρώσεις μεταξύ L1 και της όψεως εισόδου (26). Η παρεμβαλλομένη στρώση (24) έχει ένα πάχος που εκλέγεται από την περιοχή 20-30 μm, το πάχος dTS0 αναλόγως του δείκτου διαθλάσεως nTS1 εμπίπτει εντός της ορισθείσης περιοχής.
