Abstract

Περιγράφεται ένα μέσο (10) αποθηκεύσεως οπτικών δεδομένων διπλής στοιβάδος δια την καταχώρηση μιας-εγγραφής με χρησιμοποίηση μιας εστιασμένης δέσμης ακτινοβολίας (9) η οποία εισέρχεται μέσω μιας επιφανείας εισόδου (8) του μέσου. Το μέσο περιλαμβάνει τουλάχιστον ένα υπόστρωμα (1, 7) εις το οποίο υπάρχει επί μιας πλευράς αυτού μια πρώτη στοίβας καταχωρήσεως (2) που ονομάζεται L0 και περιλαμβάνει μια στοιβάδα (3) καταχωρήσεως L0 τύπου μιας-εγγραφής με μια τιμή απορροφήσεως kL0 και μια δευτέρα στοιβάδα (5) καταχωρήσεως που ονομάζεται L1 και περιλαμβάνει μια στοιβάδα καταχωρήσεως (6) L1 τύπου μιας-εγγραφής με μια τιμή απορροφήσεως kL1. Η πρώτη στοιβάς καταχωρήσεως L0 έχει μια τιμή RL0 οπτικής ανακλάσεως και μια τιμή οπτικής μεταδόσεως TL0 και η δευτέρα στοιβάς καταχωρήσεως έχει μια οπτική τιμή ανακλάσεως RL1. Η πρώτη στοιβάς καταχωρήσεως ευρίσκεται εις μια θέση πλησιεστέρα εις την επιφάνεια εισόδου (8) από την δευτέρα στοιβάδα καταχωρήσεως. Όταν ικανοποιούνται οι επόμενες συνθήκες: 0.45 = TL0 = 0.75 και 0.40 = RL1 = 0.80 και kL0 < 0.3 και kL1 < 0.3 επιτυγχάνεται ένα μέσον μιας-εγγραφής διπλής στοιβάδος το οποίο μπορεί να παίζεται σε μια πρότυπο συσκευή παιξίματος DVD-ROM.
