Abstract
La presente invención está referida a un proceso de purificación directa de un efluente de lixiviación de laterita de níquel que consiste en un ajuste del pH de una solución de lixiviación; el paso a través de una resina de intercambio iónico que absorba el níquel y el cobre; y la recuperación del níquel. Este proceso permite una mayor extracción de metal valioso, como el níquel y el cobalto; una mejor explotación de depósitos; un consumo reducido de ácidos; un menor consumo del agente neutralizante; entre otras ventajas.
