Abstract

Un proceso de lixiviación en pila para la recuperación de níquel y/o cobalto a partir de un mineral laterita, dicho proceso incluye las etapas de: a) proporcionar una o más pilas de mineral niquelítero laterita; b) lixiviar el mineral en un proceso de lixiviación en pila aplicando ácido a una o más pilas para proporcionar una solución madre de lixiviación; c) neutralizar la solución madre de lixiviación con mineral saprolita molido, y d) recuperar el níquel y/o cobalto de la solución madre de lixiviación neutralizada.
