Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un producto (10) para remover contaminantes de un fluido, que comprende un cuerpo poroso (12) que tiene una superficie específica externa e interna (14), así como también una capa metalizada (16), el espesor del cual se encuentra en la mayoría a nano escala, cubriendo al menos una porción de la superficie específica externa e interna (14) del cuerpo poroso (12). La capa metalizada (16) incluye al menos un metal (Ag) unido al cuerpo poroso (12) por enlaces químicos (18) resultando en fuerzas intramoleculares. Además, la capa metalizada (16) incluye silicio (Si) también unido al cuerpo poroso (12) por enlaces químicos (18) resultando de fuerzas moleculares. El método para obtener el producto (10) para remover contaminantes comprende una etapa (102) para tratar un cuerpo poroso (12) que tiene una superficie específica externa e interna (14) en un reactor de deposición de plasma por gas inerte (24) con descarga de radiofrecuencia, sumergiendo el cuerpo poroso (12) en el plasma e inyectando metal (Ag) en el plasma. La etapa (102) de tratamiento del cuerpo poroso también comprende una inyección de silicio (Si) en el plasma.
