Abstract
Sistemas y métodos para formar pellas de hidrocarburos pesados derretidos que pueden ser extruidas de un gotero para formar una pluralidad de gotitas que son seguidamente enfriadas en un medio refrigerante para así formar pellas asfalténicas. Las pellas asfalténicas pueden solidificarse transfiriendo calor de las gotitas al medio refrigerante para formar las pellas asfalténicas sólidas. Las pellas asfalténicas sólidas pueden entonces ser separadas del medio refrigerante, el cual puede reciclarse para ser usado de nuevo.
