Abstract
Se describen diversas formulaciones de insecticida microencapsuladas para el control de pestes, tal como ácidos y gusano de ejercito. Estas formulaciones exhiben excelente actividad de destitución hacia pestes tanto de masticadoras como no masticadoras con valores LD50 de toxicidad en ratas hembra dentro del rango de aproximadamente 2,500 mgKg-1. Algunas de estas formulaciones incluyen una pared comprendida de un polímero formado, por ejemplo, a través de una policondensación interfacial de un monómero soluble en agua y un monómero insoluble en agua, el cual rodea al menos parcialmente un insecticida de organofosfato. En algunos aspectos, el organofosfato en la microcápsula es clorpirifos. La microcápsula tiene un diámetro dentro del rango de aproximadamente 2 hasta aproximadamente 25 micras y la pared tiene un grosor dentro del rango de aproximadamente 5 hasta aproximadamente 25 nanómetros.
