Abstract

1.- Un proceso para la conversión térmica de una biomasa particulada fina que-comprende las etapas de:a) Proporcionar una mezcla de la biomasa particulada fina, un medio de transferencia de calor, y un material catalítico;b) Calentar dicha mezcla a una temperatura de entre 150 a 600°C. 2.- El proceso de la reivindicación 1 en donde el medio de transferencia de calor es arena3.- El proceso de la reivindicación 1 en donde el material catalítico está en una forma particulada.4.- El proceso de la reivindicación 1 en donde el material catalítico comprende un metal de transición.5.- El proceso de la reivindicación 4 en donde el metal catalítico es un metal de transición no noble.6.- El proceso de la reivindicación 5 en donde el metal catalítico se selecciona del grupo que consiste de Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Ni y sus mezclas. 7.- El proceso de la reivindicación 1 en donde el material catalítico es un óxido inorgánico o un hidróxido inorgánico.8.- El proceso de una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes en donde la etapa a) comprende las sub-etapas de mezclar partículas de biomasa que tienen un tamaño de partícula en el rango de 5 a 50 mm con un material particulado inorgánico que tiene un tamaño de partícula en el rango de 0.05 mm a 5 mm, y agitar la mezcla con un gas con lo cual el tamaño de partícula de la biomasa se reduce de 0.1 a 3 mm.9.- El proceso de la reivindicación 8 en donde la mezcla particulada comprende adicionalmente un material catalítico.10.- El proceso de la reivindicación 8 en donde el material particulado inorgánico tiene actividad catalítica.11.- El proceso de una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 8 a 10 en donde el gas de agitación es aire.12.- El proceso de una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 8 a 10 en donde el gas de agitación es pobre en oxígeno.13.- El proceso de la reivindicación 12 en donde el gas de agitación está sustancialmente libre de oxígeno.14.- El proceso de una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 8 a 13 en donde la mezcla particulada se agita para formar un lecho fluido, un lecho hirviente, o un lecho fuente.15.- El proceso de una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 8 a 13 en donde la mezcla particulada se agita al punto de transporte neumático.
