Abstract

1.- Una composición particulada de materia que comprende una pluralidad de partículas de óxido de metal inorgánico y alúmina obtenidas de sulfato de aluminio en una cantidad suficiente para unir las partículas y formar una composición de óxido de metal inorgánico particulada que tiene un Índice Davison de menos de 30. 2.- La composición de la reivindicación 1 en donde la alúmina obtenida del sulfato de aluminio comprende por lo menos 5% en peso de la composición de óxido de metal inorgánico. 3.- La composición de la reivindicación 1 en donde el óxido de metal inorgánico se selecciona del grupo que consiste de sílice, alúmina, sílice-alúmina, óxidos de metales de transición seleccionados de los grupos 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 de la Nueva Notación de la Tabla Periódica, Zeolitas, óxidos de metales de tierra ratas, óxidos de metales de tierras alcalinas y sus mezclas. 4.- La composición de la reivindicación 3 en donde los metales de transición se seleccionan del grupo que consiste de hierro, zinc, vanadio y sus mezclas. 5.- La composición de la reivindicación 3 en donde los metales de tierras raras se seleccionan del grupo que consiste de ceria, yttria, lantana, praesodemia, neodimia y sus mezclas. 6.- la composición de la reivindicación 3 en donde los metales de tierras alcalinas se seleccionan del grupo que consiste de calcio, magnesio, y sus mezclas. 7.- La composición de la reivindicación 1 en donde la composición tiene un Índice de Desgaste Davison (Dl) de menos de 20. 8.- La composición de a reivindicación 1 en donde la composición tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio que varía de aproximadamente 40 a aproximadamente 150 micras. 9.- La composición de la reivindicación 8 en donde la composición tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio que varía de aproximadamente 60 a aproximadamente 120 micras. 10.- La composición de la reivindicación 3 en donde la alúmina obtenida a partir de sulfato de aluminio está presente en la composición en una cantidad que varía de aproximadamente 5 a aproximadamente 25% en peso de la composición de óxido de metal inorgánico. 11.- Un composición de catalizador de craqueo catalítico que comprende por lo menos una zeolita que tiene actividad de craqueo catalítica bajo condiciones de craqueo catalítico y una cantidad de alúmina obtenida a partir de sulfato de aluminio suficiente para unir las partículas y formar una composición de catalizador particulado que tienen un Índice Davison de menos de 30.
