Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a métodos mejorados para producir un compuesto hidrófobo, en particular, un compuesto hidrófobo que es una feromona tal como una feromona de insecto, en un proceso de fermentación que involucra el cultivo de un microorganismo tales como una levadura, dicho microorganismo produce dicho compuesto hidrófobo, en donde los métodos facilitan la recuperación del compuesto hidrófobo del caldo de fermentación, aumentan el título del compuesto hidrófobo y/o aumentan la secreción del compuesto hidrófobo del microorganismo.
