本实用新型公开一种焊接于电路板上的电连接器100,其包括一绝缘本体1及导电端子2。绝缘本体1上开设有长槽10,导电端子2收容于长槽10的上下两侧面上开设的端子收容槽11内,其中端子包括焊接部、接触部及连接两者的中间部,其中中间部紧紧贴附于绝缘本体,绝缘本体1在对应下组端子3处设有凹缺口,使得接触部与焊接部之间有与绝缘本体1彼此空缺的部位,端子的焊接部裸露于本体外,焊接端子时,熔融焊剂失去了上爬的路径,从而防止污染端子接触部。

【技术领域】
本实用新型公开一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种表面焊接型电连接器。
【背景技术】
在现有的电连接器中,比如收容DDR的电连接器,端子收容于收容槽内,其自焊接部上方直至接触部均紧贴于收容槽的侧壁。在焊接过程中,由于端子的两侧与收容槽侧壁紧密配合,焊剂可能顺着端子与侧壁之间的间隙从焊接部爬至接触部或其附近,从而影响接触部的接触效果,此现象在工艺上称为爬锡现象,尤其在端子的接触部与焊接面距离较近的电连接器中,此爬锡现象尤为严重。
低构型板对板连接器亦有上述爬锡现象。板对板连接器一般设有四侧壁,端子的焊接部延伸出侧壁,接触部及连接焊接部与接触部的中间部贴附于侧壁上较浅凹槽内。在焊接过程中,焊锡亦有可能沿中间部爬至接触部,从而影响接触。
因此,有必要设计一种新的电连接器,以解决上述问题。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题是提供一种电连接器,其能防止爬锡现象。
为实现上述目的,本实用新型采用一种电连接器,可焊接于电路板,其包括一绝缘本体以及固定于绝缘本体内的端子,其中端子包括表面焊接于电路板上的焊接部、接触部及接续焊接部与接触部的中间部,焊接部焊接于电路板,其特征在于:绝缘本体在对应端子中间部的适当位置处设有凹缺口,使得中间部存在与绝缘本体间具有较大空隙的部位。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型电连接器的绝缘本体在对应端子的中间部开设有凹缺口,使得焊接时焊剂失去上爬的路径。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1、2所示,本实用新型电连接器的最佳实施例是一种可收容卡(未图示)的电连接器100,比如DDR。电连接器100具有一纵长绝缘本体1,其上设有一长槽10,长槽10两侧的侧壁上开设有连通且垂直于长槽10的收容槽11,用以收容上、下排端子,长槽10于其适当位置设有键扣12,起防呆作用。绝缘本体1于纵长方向的两端分别垂直地延伸出弹臂13,每一弹臂13外侧组装有一金属臂14以增强弹臂13的强度,金属弹臂14下缘向内垂直弯折出固定片143,该固定片143一端固定于绝缘本体1上,另一端向上弯折有止动片145。金属臂14的上缘向内弯折出一水平锁扣片144,其可突入DDR之缺口(未图示)内以防止DDR移动,该锁扣片144向下延伸有弯折片141,弯折片141与外侧壁配合紧贴于弹臂13起固持作用。金属臂14于固定片143的前端设有水平挡止片142,挡止片142抵挡于止动片145,可防止锁扣装置过度外张。弹臂13与金属臂14共同构成了可锁扣/解除DDR的锁扣装置。
请参阅图3、4所示,端子组2包括上、下排端子4、3。下排端子3具有主体部分30,主体部分30自其一端水平延伸出固持部31,于其另一端的上边缘延伸出的弹性部32,相对的下边缘延伸出接脚33,其中弹性部32与固持部31同方向,接脚33与固持部31反方向。上排端子4与下排端子3类似,其亦具有主体部分40、固持部41、弹性部42及接脚43。
上、下排端子4、3收容于上、下端子收容槽11内。请结合图5所示,下排端子3的固持部31借助其设有的倒刺35而干涉固定于绝缘本体下侧壁的槽道16内。弹性部32朝长槽10延伸,其末端超出下侧壁的顶面101(如图5所示)而形成可与DDR完成电性连接的接触部321。该端子的接脚33包括自主体部分30向下远离绝缘本体1倾斜延伸的延伸部331及继续水平延伸的焊接部332,焊接部332的底面焊接于电路板的导电片(未图示)上,形成焊接面333。上排端子4与下排端子3类似,于此不再具体叙述。
请结合图6所示,端子3紧紧地贴附端子收容槽11的两侧壁102上。以下为简单描述,将前述连接接触部321与焊接部332之间的部分(除固持部31外)统称为中间部。如图6所示,端子收容槽11的两侧壁102于临近焊接面333处被削除,形成上述凹缺口104,使得端子的延伸部331及主体部分30裸露,焊剂无法借助侧壁上爬,即失去了上爬的路径,而且,在制造过程中,该电连接器是射出成型的,直接在端子收容槽侧壁102的底部开设缺口104可以简化制程,节约材料。
当然,本实用新型不局限于上述实施例,亦可采用在收容槽的两侧壁适当位置分别对应形成凹缺口,使得该处两侧壁之间的宽度变大,如此,该部位的端子与侧壁有较大间隙,焊剂失去了上爬的路径,从而防止污染端子接触部。另,若上排端子4的接触部与焊接面距离较近,亦可类似下排端子3设计。在其他低构型连接器,比如板对板连接器中,亦可部分削除临近焊接部的侧壁,如此,焊锡失去了上爬的路径,达到防爬锡作用。

Claims (8)

1.一种电连接器,可焊接于电路板,其包括一绝缘本体以及固定于绝缘本体内的端子,其中端子包括表面焊接于电路板上的焊接部、接触部及接续焊接部与接触部的中间部,焊接部焊接于电路板,其特征在于:绝缘本体在对应端子中间部的适当位置处设有凹缺口,使得中间部存在与绝缘本体间具有较大空隙的部位。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:邻近于端子焊接部的绝缘本体被削除,形成上述凹缺口。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体设有若干端子收容槽,端子收容于收容槽内,收容槽的两侧壁适当位置处设有上述凹缺口,使得该部位端子收容槽的宽度大于端子本身的宽度。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子包括主体部分、自主体部分延伸的弹性部及自主体部分沿与弹性部相反方向延伸的焊接部,弹性部上形成接触部,位于焊接部与接触部之间的主体部分及弹性部形成上述中间部。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:端子进一步包括固持部,该固持部由主体部分一端水平地延伸,上述弹性部、焊接部自主体部分另一端的上、下边缘延伸。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:弹性部沿与固持部同一方向延伸,焊接部沿与固持部相反方向延伸。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体包括一长槽及位于其两端的锁扣装置,端子收容槽位于长槽两侧且连通长槽,端子包括收容于长槽两侧的端子收容槽的上、下排端子。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:上述凹缺口形成于长槽的下侧壁上。
