Description

Stretch film packaging machine
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a stretch film packaging machine according to embodiment 1.
Background
Such stretch film wrapping machines with protective covers that prevent access to specific areas of the stretch film wrapping machine are known, for example, from DE 102017128363 a 1. Other stretch film wrapping machines are described, for example, in DE 10227610 a1 or DE 102016125132 a1, the disclosures of which are expressly incorporated herein by reference.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The utility model aims to provide a stretch film packaging machine improves in its operation aspect to the means that is as simple as possible in structure, wherein can effectively protect operating personnel simultaneously.
This object is achieved by a stretch film wrapping machine having the features of embodiment 1. In other embodiments, advantageous refinements of the invention are specified.
The stretch film packaging machine according to the invention has a protective cover which protects a specific region of the stretch film packaging machine, the so-called protection region, from accidental access and in this way avoids injury to the operator of the machine. For this purpose, the protective cover is mounted about a pivot axis so as to be movable between a protective position and an access position. In the protective position, the protective cover prevents an operator from entering or accessing the protective area, while in the entry position the protective cover enables the operator to enter.
According to the invention, the pivot axis about which the protective cover can be pivoted is oriented transversely to the conveying direction of the stretch film packaging machine, in particular perpendicularly thereto. The invention therefore solves the previously proposed disadvantage that the protective cover must always be rotated about a pivot axis which is oriented substantially in the conveying direction, as long as the protective cover is pivotably supported. It has surprisingly proved that the handling of the protective cover with the pivot axis oriented transversely to the conveying direction is particularly advantageous for the operator and does not collide with, for example, a wrapping film or other components of a stretch film wrapping machine.
The pivot axis of the protective cover extends generally horizontally.
In a preferred variant of the invention, the pivot axis is arranged in a region of the protective cover located in the middle in the conveying direction of the stretch film packaging machine, for example in the middle third of the protective cover located in the middle in the conveying direction of the stretch film packaging machine. The arrangement is such that, when the protective cover is pivoted about the pivot axis, one part of the protective cover is pivoted upwards and the other part is pivoted downwards, so that the requirement for free space above the machine provided for pivoting is reduced.
In this respect, it is particularly advantageous if the pivot axis, viewed in the conveying direction, is arranged substantially in the center, if appropriate even exactly in the center, of the protective cover.
In particular, the protective cover can be mounted so as to be pivotable relative to the sealing station or relative to the forming station, in particular relative to a cover plate of the forming station. For this purpose, the protective cover can be supported, for example, pivotably at the sealing station or the forming station, in particular at the cover plate of the forming station. It is also conceivable for the protective cover to be pivotably supported on the machine frame or on a support projecting or protruding from the sealing station, the forming station or its cover. This precaution structurally simplifies the connection of the protective cover and prevents the operator from accidentally accessing the forming or sealing station in a particularly reliable manner.
It has proven to be advantageous to provide a position sensor, by means of which it can be verified whether the protective cover is in its protective position. It is thus possible to prevent the stretch film wrapping machine from operating and, in particular, from moving dangerous components of the stretch film wrapping machine, as long as the protective cover is not in its protective position.
The position sensor comprises a magnetic sensor, which can be advantageous for achieving a particularly reliable position detection of the protective cover while achieving a construction that is as hygienic as possible.
Since the protective covers are pivoted about a pivot axis oriented transversely to the conveying direction, it is sufficient for each protective cover to be provided with only one position sensor, which also further simplifies the construction of the stretch film wrapping machine.
It is conceivable to configure the protective cover in such a way that it can be pivoted by at least 90 ° between the protective position and the access position. It follows that the protective cover can be pivoted beyond the dead point, so that the protective cover stays stably in its entry position.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of an intermittently operating stretch film wrapping machine 1 according to the present invention. The stretch film wrapping machine 1 has a forming station 2, a sealing station 3, a transverse cutting device 4, and a longitudinal cutting device 5, which are arranged in this order on a frame 6 in a conveying direction R. On the input side, a supply roll 7 is arranged on the machine frame 6, from which a carrier film 8 is drawn off. The stretch film wrapping machine 1 furthermore has a conveyor chain 11, in particular a conveyor chain or gripper chain 11 arranged on both sides, which grips the carrier film 8 and conveys the carrier film 8 further in the conveying direction R in each main operating cycle.
In the embodiment shown, the shaping station 2 is configured as a stretching station, where grooves are formed in the carrier film 8 by stretching, for example by means of compressed air and/or vacuum. Here, the forming station 2 may be configured such that a plurality of grooves are formed side by side in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction R. After the shaping station 2 in the conveying direction R, a filling section 12 is provided, in which filling section 12 the recesses formed in the carrier film 8 are filled with the product.
The sealing station 3 has a sealably closed chamber 3a in which the atmosphere in the recess can be evacuated and/or replaced by gas purging with an exchange gas or a gas mixture, for example, before sealing by means of the upper film 10 output from the upper film receptacle 9.
The transverse cutting device 4 may be configured as a blanking machine which severs the bottom film 8 and the top film 10 between adjacent recesses in a direction transverse to the conveying direction R. The transverse cutting device 4 is operated in such a way that the carrier film 8 is not cut over the entire width, but at least in the edge regions. This enables a controlled further transport by means of the conveyor chain 11.
The longitudinal cutting means 5 can be configured as a knife means, by means of which the carrier film 8 and the upper film 10 are cut off between adjacent recesses and at the side edges of the carrier film 8 in the conveying direction R, so that the packages are separated after the longitudinal cutting means 5.
The right and left conveyor chains 11 and 11 of the stretch film wrapping machine 1, which grasp the base film 8 on both sides, are respectively guided in chain guide portions 13. The chain guides 13 are each protected to the outside by a side wall 14 of the stretch film wrapping machine 1 and are optionally fastened to the side wall 14. The side dams 14 may be plate members.
Further, the stretch film wrapping machine 1 has a control section 19. The task is to control and monitor the processes taking place in stretch film wrapping machine 1. The display device 20 with the operating elements 21 serves to display the process sequence in the stretch film wrapping machine 1 to an operator or to influence the process sequence in the stretch film wrapping machine 1 by the operator.
In the switch cabinet 22, central electrical and/or electronic components of the stretch film wrapping machine 1 are arranged, for example, connection components to an external power supply. The side of stretch film wrapping machine 1 facing the viewer in fig. 1 is an operating side B, on which an operator is positioned to actuate operating elements 21 or, if appropriate, to fill the packaging recesses along filling section 12. The switch cabinet 22 is disposed on the side of the stretch film wrapping machine 1 opposite the operation side B.
Fig. 2 shows in perspective view the forming station 2 in which the recesses are drawn out in the film 8. The forming station 2 is covered by a cover plate 23. The protective cover 24, which is in this case configured as a downwardly open sheet metal profile, is arranged directly downstream of the forming station 2 in the transport direction R of the stretch film wrapping machine 1. The protective cover 24 is pivotably supported at the cover plate 23 of the forming station 2 via a hinge or pivot bearing 25. The pivot bearing 25 here defines a pivot axis 26 about which the protective cover 24 can be moved. The pivot axis 26 is horizontal or transverse to the conveying direction R of the stretch film wrapping machine, in particular perpendicular to the conveying direction R.
In fig. 2, the protective cover 24 is in its protective position S. In this protective position S, the protective cover 24 prevents an operator from entering a protective region 27 (see fig. 3) which is arranged below the protective cover 24, downstream of the forming station 2 and within the two side frames 28 of the stretch film wrapping machine. In particular, the protective cover in the protective position S prevents a hand of the operator from possibly reaching into the protective region 27. To support this function, a fixed protective wall 29 can be provided below the front edge 24a of the protective cover 24, so that a gap is created between the front edge 24a and the protective wall 29, which gap is of sufficient size to allow the carrier film 8 with the grooves stretched therein to be transported through.
Fig. 3 shows the forming station 2 in a state in which the protective cover 24 has been pivoted upward by an angle α about the pivot axis 26 from the protective position S shown in fig. 2 and is now in its entry position Z. The angle α by which the protective cover 24 is pivoted from the protective position S into the access position Z is in this case greater than 90 °. The protective cap 24 is held securely in its entry position Z by its abutment against the cover plate 23 of the forming station 3 (or alternatively against a further stop). In the access position Z, the protective cover 24 releases the protective region 17 of the stretch film wrapping machine 1 for access or access by an operator.
In the embodiment of fig. 2 and 3, the pivot axis 26 is located near the end of the protective cover 24 near the forming station 2.
A position sensor 30 can be provided on stretch film wrapping machine 1, by means of which it can be verified whether protective cover 24 is in its protective position S. The position sensor 30 may be located at or in the side frame 28 and may be configured to identify the presence of a magnetic element 31 disposed at or in the protective cover 24. Alternatively, the magnetosensitive sensor 30 may be arranged at the protective cover 24 and may detect a magnetic element 31 located at or in the side frame 28, or the side frame 28 itself may serve as such a magnetic element 31. The stretch film wrapping machine 1 can thus be configured for the safety of its operator to interrupt its operation as long as the position sensor 30 does not detect the presence of the magnetic element 31 and in this way does not verify that the protective cover 24 is in its protective position S. In the embodiment of fig. 2 and 3, it is sufficient for this purpose for each protective cover 24 to have only a single position sensor 30.
Fig. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of the protective cover 24, namely in a protective position S in which the protective cover 24 is arranged horizontally and in an access position Z (shown in dashed lines). In the protective position S, the protective cover 24 can be aligned, for example, with the cover plate 23 of the forming station 2. The protective cover 24 is also arranged here in the conveying direction R, for example, directly downstream of the forming station 2. In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, however, the hinge 25 defining the pivot axis 26 is no longer located at the leading end of the protective cover 24, but rather in an intermediate region of the protective cover 24 (viewed in the conveying direction R), in this case in particular almost or completely in the center of the protective cover 24. This causes a part of the protective cover (in fig. 4: the part downstream of the pivot axis 26) to move upward while another part of the protective cover 24 (in fig. 4: the part upstream of the pivot axis 26) starts moving downward from the protective position S when the protective cover 24 is pivoted into the entry position Z. In the protective position S, the protective cover 24 covers the protective region 27 to prevent access from the outside. In contrast, in the access position Z, an operator can reach into the protective area 27, for example for maintenance purposes or cleaning purposes.
The stretch film wrapping machine 1 and the protective cover 24 can be modified in various ways according to the described embodiments. In the exemplary embodiment of fig. 4, it is conceivable, for example, for the pivot axis 26 not to be arranged exactly in the center of the protective cover 24, but rather somewhere in the middle third II, as viewed in the conveying direction R. In fig. 4, one third of the protective cover 24 is schematically labeled I, II and III from left to right. The pivoting direction of the protective cover 24 may be reversed. And one or more position sensors 30 may be provided for each protective cover 24.
