在实际使用的时候，将水平放置板沿轨道往后拉，将工件放置于夹具上，通过气缸驱动顶尖顶紧工件，此时工件可以绕轴自由旋转，松开水平放置板，拉力弹簧回收，工件外表面紧贴于抛光带，启动抛光带，抛光带转动对工件外表面进行加工，并且带动工件被动转动，对工件整个外表面进行加工，因为拉力弹簧一直拉紧水平放置板，所以工件一直紧密贴合抛光带，使抛光带一直对工件进行随形加工。

如图1所示的一种椭圆形异形件外表面抛光装置，包括带式抛光机1和工件置放台2，所述工件置放台2包括一水平平台201，平台201上设有一水平放置板3，水平放置板3上设有工件夹持装置；所述工件夹持装置包括固定端和顶紧端，所述固定端包括固定台4，固定台4上设有与工件随形的夹具5，夹具5后面设有固定轴6，固定台4上设有通孔，固定轴6插入通孔并通过轴承7与固定台4转动连接；所述顶紧端包括气缸8和顶尖9，所述顶尖9设置于气缸8活塞头并且与活塞头轴转动连接，顶紧端与固定端位置相对应；所述水平平台201上设有两道前后方向的轨道202，水平放置板3下方设有与轨道202配合的滑轮滑动结构；所述带式抛光机1设于工件置放台2前方，所述夹具5与带式抛光机的抛光带101相对设置；所述水平放置板3前端面与带式抛光机1的支架102上设有两个拉力弹簧103相连接，两个拉力弹簧103分布于抛光带101两侧；所述夹具5下方的水平放置板3和水平平台201设有避让抛光带101的凹槽10。
在实际使用的时候，将水平放置板3沿轨道202往后拉，将工件放置于夹具5上，通过气8缸驱动顶尖9顶紧工件，此时工件可以绕轴自由旋转，松开水平放置板3，拉力弹簧103回收，工件外表面紧贴于抛光带101，启动抛光机1，抛光带101转动对工件外表面进行加工，并且带动工件被动转动，对工件整个外表面进行加工，因为拉力弹簧103一直拉紧水平放置板3，所以工件一直紧密贴合抛光带101，使抛光带101一直对工件进行随形加工。
