驱动辊60可以被构造为接合和旋转分裂辊30和/或切割辊62。更具体地,驱动辊60可以联接到致动器,例如电气、气动或液压致动器,所述致动器可以适合于使驱动辊60围绕它的旋转轴线64旋转。驱动辊60的旋转然后可以使分裂辊30和/或切割辊62围绕它们各自的旋转轴线34和66旋转。这样的布置可以允许分裂辊30紧靠切割辊62被放置以在纤维材料18被分离为束32之后减小它缠结或再聚束的可能性。驱动辊60可以被构造为沿与纤维材料18的进给方向26相同的方向旋转分裂辊30以有助于保持纤维材料18上的张力和有助于抑制分裂辊30的堵塞,如围绕图2中的旋转轴线34布置的箭头所示。
驱动辊60可以包括围绕它的外圆周布置的覆盖层68。覆盖层68可以由诸如橡胶的弹性材料制造以抑制磨损和提供作用于纤维材料18的预期大小的摩擦,从而有助于牵引纤维材料18和/或抑制相对于分裂辊30和/或切割辊62的滑动。
切割辊62可以包括将束32切割为较短纤维纱16的多个刀片或齿。例如切割辊62可以包括多个间隔开的切割刃,所述切割刃被构造为抵靠驱动辊60切割束32。切割刃可以被构造为将束32切割为任何预期长度,例如大约1到2英寸(25.4mm到50.8mm)的长度。另外,切割可以作为干式工艺而发生,而不需要用水或另一种液体湿润纤维材料18。产生的纤维纱16然后可以被收集或分配到传送带70上并且随后被处理以形成制品12。
参考图5,显示了制造制品12的示例性方法的流程图。在100,可以将诸如纤维材料18的材料提供给装置20,如先前所述。在102,可以用分裂辊30将纤维材料18分裂或分离为束32,如上所述。在104,可以将束32切割为具有较短长度的纤维纱16。在106,可以使用纤维纱16制造复合材料。在一个示例性实施例中,可以将纤维纱16置于树脂糊剂14所应用到的防粘膜72上。在美国专利7,691,223中描述了用于制造制品的示例性方法,该专利被转让给本实用新型的受让人并且通过引用完整地合并于此。

Claims (7)
1.一种用于生产纤维增强制品的装置,其特征是,包括:
分裂辊,所述分裂辊被构造为围绕第一轴线旋转,所述分裂辊具有以大致平行关系围绕所述分裂辊的圆周延伸以用于分裂纤维材料的一组凹槽;
切割辊,所述切割辊与所述分裂辊间隔开并且被构造为围绕第二轴线旋转;以及
驱动辊,所述驱动辊被构造为围绕所述第一轴线和所述第二轴线旋转所述分裂辊和所述切割辊。
2.根据权利要求1所述的装置,其特征是,所述第一轴线和所述第二轴线大致彼此平行地被布置。
3.根据权利要求1所述的装置,其特征是,每个凹槽的深度大于每个凹槽的宽度。
4.根据权利要求1所述的装置,其特征是,每个凹槽包括具有恒定曲率半径的底部表面。
5.根据权利要求1所述的装置,其特征是,所述一组凹槽的每个构件通过围绕所述分裂辊的圆周连续延伸的齿与所述一组凹槽的相邻构件分离。
6.根据权利要求5所述的装置,其特征是,所述齿包括具有恒定曲率半径的尖端。
7.根据权利要求5所述的装置,其特征是,每个凹槽包括具有平坦部分的底部表面,所述平坦部分布置为与布置在所述齿的根部的曲率半径相邻。
