【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种具有电源端子的电连接器。
【背景技术】
美国专利第6,638,104号公开了一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及排列插设于绝缘本体侧壁上的端子,所述端子包括信号端子及位于信号端子一侧的电源端子,所述绝缘本体具有位于所述端子两侧的导引部,当舆对接连接器对接时,导引部具有导引作用。
电连接器广泛应用于电子设备中,随着电子设备的小型化,电连接器向着轻薄短小的方向发展,因此,有必要对上述电连接器进行改进以适应小型化的发展趋势。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题在于:提供一种可小型化的电连接器。
为解决上述问题,本实用新型采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、插设于绝缘本体中的端子,所述绝缘本体包括基部及自基部延伸的对接部,对接部包括位于两端的端壁,所述端子包括信号端子及电源端子,所述端壁设有贯穿基部的凹槽,电源端子固持于凹槽中。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型电连接器具有如下有益效果:本实用新型电连接器的电源端子安装于绝缘本体的端壁上,可以减小绝缘本体长度,有利于电连接器的小型化。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1、图2及图3所示,本实用新型电连接器包括绝缘本体1、若干信号端子2、电源端子3、遮蔽壳体4及一对螺母5。图2显示了可与本实用新型电连接器对接的对接连接器6。
所述绝缘本体1包括基部11及自基部11延伸的对接部12,所述对接部12包括纵长的两侧壁121及连接两侧壁121的两端壁122,该四壁围成一个收容空间10,每一侧壁121设有与收容空间10连通的若干端子收容槽,所述信号端子2分别插设于端子收容槽中,每一端壁122的外侧设有一对凹槽120,该凹槽120向下贯通基部11(参图4),每一端壁122的末端凸伸有导引部123,该导引部123呈锥形以方便与对接连接器对接,所述凹槽120向上贯穿导引部且凹槽120的末端设有导引口以方便与对接连接器的端子对接。所述导引部123与端壁122一体成型具有导引作用也可以称为导引柱。基部11的两端设有收容螺母5的螺母孔110,当本实用新型电连接器安装于电路板上时,螺母5与电路板上的螺柱或螺栓相配合而将电连接器固持于电路板上。
电源端子3包括固持部31、自固持部31延伸的接触部32及沿与接触部32相反方向延伸的尾部33,接触部32的自由末端设有引导部,该引导部可以引导对接端子。电源端子3固持于凹槽120中,接触部32凹陷于凹槽120中而不凸伸出端壁122的外侧面,这样设置可以保护电源端子3,降低电源端子3与其他异物接触的可能性。
遮蔽壳体4遮覆于对接部12上,防止外部电信号对信号端子2产生电磁干扰。
已有的技术中,电源端子是插设于侧壁121上而与信号端子排成一列,而本实用新型电连接器的电源端子3安装于端壁122的凹槽120中,侧壁121上无须设置收容该电源端子的端子收容槽,可以使电连接器小型化。在不改变尺寸的情况下,将电源端子安装于端壁上可以使电源端子远离信号端子,能够减小电源端子对信号端子的电磁干扰。
请参阅图2,其显示了与本实用新型电连接器相对接的对接连接器6。该对接连接器6的电源端子61也插设于侧壁上,以与本实用新型电连接器的电源端子3相对接。
上述为本实用新型的第一实施方式,在其他实施方式中,电连接器的对接部可以是自基部延伸的舌板,信号端子排列与舌板两侧,电源端子插设于设板的两端。电连接器也可以不具有第一实施方式中的两侧壁,信号端子插设于绝缘本体的基部上。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、插设于绝缘本体中的端子,所述绝缘本体包括基部及自基部延伸的对接部,对接部包括位于两端的端壁,所述端子包括信号端子及电源端子,其特征在于:所述端壁设有贯穿基部的凹槽,电源端子固持于凹槽中。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电源端子包括接触部,电源端子的接触部凹陷于凹槽中。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述凹槽位于端壁的外侧。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述对接部包括纵长延伸的两侧壁,该两侧壁及两端壁围成收容空间。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述信号端子沿侧壁的延伸方向排列。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一端壁均设有固持电源端子的凹槽。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:每一端壁设有两个凹槽。
8.如权利要求1至7中任一项所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述端壁凸伸有导引部。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述凹槽贯穿导引部,且凹槽末端设有导引口。
10.如权利要求9所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电源端子接触部的末端设有引导部。
