Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种管密封装置,尤其涉及一种用于密封柔性管道的管密封装置。
背景技术
已知的管密封装置用于密封柔性管道。作为一个示例,该密封装置用于密封填充设备中的一次性歧管系统中所用的柔性管道。填充设备通常用于药物学、生物医学、化学、以及食品包装业中。该一次性歧管系统包括用一系列各自的离散的填充管相连的多个容器(通常是袋子),这些填充管从主供应管处分支。主供应管与包含有流体的存储器相连。在歧管系统与存储器相连之后,流体从存储器中泵入到主供应管中,穿过填充管,进入到袋子中,从而在袋中填充流体。袋子可以使用夹钳或阀来同时或顺序地进行填充,以选择性地引导流动穿过仅需要的填充管和主供应管的需要部分。在袋子被填充后,通过热封相应的填充管然后在密封处上方的位置处从歧管系统上切下填充管,从而将袋子从歧管系统中移除。歧管系统是一次性的,以避免在使用非一次性填充系统时的清洗、消毒、以及相关确认工作。
通常,管密封装置包括定位在气动压机上的一个密封工具,该气动压机用于在打开位置和关闭位置之间操作该密封工具。在打开位置中,上、下头部彼此相邻定位,在关闭位置中,上、下头部彼此分开一段较大的距离。上、下头部中的每一个都能被交替地加热和冷却。
要密封管时,在密封工具处于打开位置时将柔性管道横跨工具而定位。上、下头部被加热到升高的温度,然后压机使头部移动到关闭位置,以将管的一部分夹在所述头部之间。上、下头部将热量传到与该头部接触的管的一部分中,并对该部分施加压力。在经过一段足以使头部的热量穿过所夹的管的部分的时间之后,上、下头部不再产生热,并开始冷却,或者是主动冷却或者是被动冷却,同时保持与管接触。随着管与上、下头部一起冷却,管的被加热的部分的内壁粘结在一起,从而在管中产生密封。一旦充分冷却后,压机将工具打开,以分开头部,允许密封后的管从工具上移走。管中的密封部位就使得不能通过管流动。
发明内容
在一个实施例中,本发明提供一种管密封装置,其通过提供用于加热和冷却管的单独的工具而节省了密封管所需的时间周期。在一个实施例中,该管密封装置包括加热工具和冷却工具,它们都在打开位置和关闭位置之间移动。在一些实施例中,所述工具可以移动,以允许加热和冷却工具都可单独接触管的相同部分。在另一些实施例中,管可移动,以对管的与单独的加热和冷却工具相邻的同一部分进行定位。
在一些结构中,工具可以相对于基座在下降和升高位置之间移动。基座包括可以在打开位置和关闭位置之间控制以将管相对于工具保持就位的上、下夹钳。该工具可以被安装到载架上,该载架通过气缸来致动以在不同位置之间移动。
在另一些实施例中,该工具可以安装到旋转叶片、盘、或鼓上,从而在加热工具从关闭位置被打开之后,该叶片、盘、或鼓被旋转,以将冷却工具定位成与管道相邻以及将加热工具定位成远离管道。在此位置,冷却工具可被关闭,以冷却和固化管道的被夹紧部分。在冷却工具打开且管道移走之后,叶片、盘、或鼓被旋转回来,以再次将加热工具定位成与管道的新插入段相邻。在另一些实施例中,加热和冷却工具都可以在打开和关闭位置之间枢转,以与管道的相同部分接触。
本发明的另一实施例包括一种用管密封装置来密封管的方法,其包括以下步骤:将柔性管的离散段或长度定位在管密封装置内,关闭加热工具以夹紧和加热管道的一部分,打开加热工具,将冷却工具与管道的被夹紧部分对齐,关闭冷却工具,以夹紧和冷却管道的被夹紧部分,打开冷却工具,移走密封的管道。在一些实施例中,该方法包括使用定位在被夹紧部分的相对侧上的夹钳来将管道保持就位。在一些替换实施例中,该方法包括在中央部分被加热后移动管道以使被夹紧部分与冷却工具对齐。

具体实施方式
图1-12示出了根据本发明一个实施例的管密封装置10。该管密封装置10包括基座12。基座12可由框架支撑或通过其他方式与支撑结构相连,以便于管密封装置10在手持操作中的使用。基座12通常为C形并包括后支撑件14和上、下支撑件16、18,上、下支撑件都通常以悬臂方式与后支撑件14的各自端部相连。上、下支撑件16、18以相同的方向从后支撑件14延伸。基座12还包括在上、下支撑件16、18之间延伸的两个杆20、22。
上、下支撑件16、18分别包括上、下夹钳24、26。上、下夹钳24、26大体相同,因此仅详细描述上夹钳24。夹钳24由支撑件16中的槽口28、可滑动地定位在支撑件16内的一个孔中的杆30、以及与杆30和支撑件16相连的夹钳致动器32限定。夹钳致动器32是可控制的,以在伸展位置和收缩位置之间移动杆30。在收缩位置中,杆30从槽口28中回缩或部分暴露于槽口28中。在伸展位置中,杆30进一步暴露在槽口28中并可以延伸到与之接触,并对槽口28的相对壁34施加压力。夹钳致动器32可以是气动或液压活塞/气缸组件。
尽管参考所示实施例在整个说明书中使用了表示位置的术语例如上、下、顶、底、右、左,但本发明并不限于管密封装置10仅可在这些方位上操作。而是,管密封装置10可以在除了竖直以外的其他所需方位上使用,例如水平或其他相对于竖直方向成角度的方向。
管密封装置10还包括密封工具36。该密封工具36包括大体C形载架38,其具有后壁40和两个侧壁42、44。每个侧壁42、44以通常悬臂的方式与后壁40的各自端部相连。侧壁42、44以相同方向从后壁40延伸。支承件46、48安装在后壁40上并在与侧壁42、44相反的方向上突伸。两个支承件46沿着后壁40的一侧竖直对齐,并可滑动地与各杆20相连,另两个支承件48沿着后壁40的相对侧竖直对齐并可滑动地与另一杆22相连。同样,支承件46、48和载架38可相对于基座12竖直移动。
密封工具36包括一对加热工具50、52和一对冷却工具54、56。加热工具50、52安装到载架38上从而加热工具50、52彼此呈面对关系。加热工具50与连接到侧壁42上的工具致动器58相连。同样,另一加热工具52与连接到相对侧壁44上的工具致动器60相连。工具致动器58、60可控制,以使加热工具50、52相对于载架38的侧壁42、44在打开位置和关闭位置之间移动。工具致动器58、60可以是气动或液压活塞/气缸组件。在打开位置中,加热工具50、52彼此分开,从而在工具50、52之间出现空隙62或间隙,在关闭位置中,加热工具50、52彼此靠近。在一些实施例中,加热工具50、52可以彼此接触,除非以其他方式阻碍其接触,并彼此施加压力。工具50、52的接触元件64通常是带有倒角边缘的矩形。每个加热工具50、52包括加热元件66,其可控制,以选择性地对工具50、52施加热量。例如,加热元件66可以是定位在工具50、52内的加热电极。在另一些实施例中,仅该对加热工具50、52中的一个被加热。
冷却工具54、56也安装在载架38上,从而冷却元件彼此呈面对关系。冷却工具54与连接到侧壁42上的工具致动器68相连。同样,另一冷却工具56与连接到相对侧壁44上的工具致动器70相连。工具致动器68、70可以是气动或液压活塞/气缸组件。工具致动器68、70可控制,以使冷却工具54、56相对于载架38的侧壁42、44在打开位置和关闭位置之间移动。在打开位置中,冷却工具54、56彼此分开,从而在工具54、56之间出现空隙72或间隙,在关闭位置中,冷却工具54、56彼此靠近。在一些实施例中,冷却工具54、56可以彼此接触,除非以其他方式阻碍其接触,并彼此施加压力。工具54、56的接触元件74通常是带有倒角边缘的矩形。每个冷却工具54、56包括可控制冷却系统75(图16)以主动从工具54、56上移走热量。例如冷却系统75可以包括涡流冷却器、温度被控制的水或乙二醇冷却系统等。在另一些实施例中,每个冷却工具54、56都可通过允许热量传输到周围环境中而被动地冷却。例如冷却工具54、56可以通过允许工具温度逐渐到达室温而冷却,或者通过可控制的风扇冷却,以增加工具54、56的温度返回到环境温度的速度。在另一些实施例中,该对冷却工具54、56中仅一个被主动冷却。
载架致动器76与下支撑件18相连并与载架38相连。载架致动器76可控制,以使载架38相对于基座12在升高位置和降低位置之间移动。载架致动器76可以是气动或液压活塞/气缸组件、伺服电机/螺杆、步进电机或电动机、皮带轮或传送带、齿条或小齿轮、机械杠杆、线性致动器、齿轮箱、螺线管、或它们的任何组合。
如图16所示意性示出的,管密封装置10还包括一个控制器77,其与夹钳致动器32、工具致动器58、60、68、70、以及载架致动器76电连接,以分别控制夹钳24、26、工具50、52、54、56以及载架38的运动。控制器77还与加热元件66和冷却系统75电连接,以控制工具50、52、54、56的温度。控制器77还与一系列传感器(例如温度和压力传感器)电连接,这些传感器向控制器77提供代表着管密封装置10的状态的信号。另外,控制器77可包括控制管密封装置10的操作的程序。
管密封装置10的操作如图3-13所示。图3示出了处于空载状态的管密封装置10,其准备接收用于密封的管78。管78可以是柔性的、弹性的管,由塑料材料制成,例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯、乙烯醋酸乙烯、聚烯烃、尼龙、热塑性塑料弹性体、或上述树脂的组合。管78的壁厚为至少0.0625”,更具体为在0.0625”-0.125”之间。另外,也可使用其他可热密封的树脂。管78优选地为弹性管的离散件,例如,其可以是通过水平放置的歧管来连接的弹性管道的几个隔开的离散竖直定向件,如在无菌容器例如静脉袋的填充中所用的那样。可替换地,管道的离散件可以是用于被串行填充的多个单独容器中的一个的填充管。在空载状态下,夹钳24、26、加热工具50、52、以及冷却工具54、56处于打开位置。此时,或在将加热工具50、52移动到关闭位置之前的任何时间,加热工具50、52被加热元件66加热到需要的温度。在大多数的应用场合下,工具50、52需要的温度在250-280华氏度之间。在另一些实施例中,该温度可以更高或小于此范围。
当管密封装置10处于空载状态时,管78的端部可以插入到上、下支撑件16、18的槽口28中,且中央部分80可以定位在工具50、52之间,如图4所示。管78可以手动插入或通过自动放置系统(图5)插入。控制器77然后向致动器32发送信号,以将杆30移动到伸展位置,从而将管78的每端夹在杆30和槽口壁34之间。管78的夹紧在管78被密封时可限制管78不移动。
参考图6,控制器77向工具致动器58、60发送信号,以将加热工具50、52移动到关闭位置。在一些实施例中,控制器77会等着工具50、52启动到加热工具50、52的温度处在需要的范围内。在关闭位置中,接触元件64夹紧管78的部分80并加热管78的该部分80。由接触元件64施加到管78上的压力足以使管78的内壁挨在一起。加热工具50、52的保持时间(也即,加热工具50、52保持在管78上关闭的时间),在1-60秒范围内,且优选为在10-50秒范围内。工具的温度、压力、以及保持时间取决于管78的尺寸和材料。
在使管78在夹紧部分80处完全加热足够长的时间后,控制器77向工具致动器58、60发送信号,以将加热工具50、52移动到打开位置(图7)。如图所示,当工具50、52打开时,由于加热工具50、52的力和热量夹紧形状仍保持在管78中。但是,有些类型的管表现得很有弹性,趋于打开夹紧部分80以使其在加热工具50、52移走后返回其原始形状。当管内壁从彼此接触的状态中移开以在内壁间形成空间或空隙时就认为夹紧的部分80被打开了。
如图8所示,控制器77向载架致动器76发送信号,以使载架38从降低位置移动到升高位置。上支撑件16的止挡件79(图3)限制载架38移动超出升高位置。止挡件79可以调节以改变升高位置。类似的止挡件79也可定位到下支撑件上,以限定和改变降低位置。在升高位置中,冷却工具54、56与管78的夹紧部分80对齐。允许改变管78和工具50、52、54、56之间的相对位置的其他实施例也在本发明的保护范围之内。例如,图15中的管密封装置310,管78可以重新定位以使夹紧部分80与冷却工具54、56对齐。在还另一些实施例中,可以将管78和工具50、52、54、56的移动进行组合来使夹紧部分80与冷却工具54、56对齐。
在管78被对齐后,控制器77向工具致动器68、70发送信号,以使冷却工具54、56延伸到关闭位置(图9)。在关闭位置中,冷却工具54、56定位在与加热工具50、52相对于管78的大约相同位置。控制器77可以向冷却系统发送信号,以在此阶段或在此阶段之前开始冷却,从而冷却工具54、56可以在接触夹紧部分80之前预冷却。冷却工具54、56的接触元件74的冷却和压力允许夹紧部分80融在一起形成永久密封。在夹紧部分80由于管材料的弹性已开始打开的情况下,冷却工具54、56重新建立夹紧,允许加热的夹紧部分80再次融在一起形成密封。为了重新建立夹紧,重要的是冷却工具54、56要在夹紧部分从加热工具50、52处释放之后的例如3秒内,最好在2秒内接触充分加热的夹紧部分80。在有些实施例中,冷却温度小于加热工具50、52的温度约100华氏度。在另一些实施例中,冷却工具54、56的温度大约在33-70华氏度之间。在还另一些实施例中,冷却工具54、56的温度不被控制,而是由环境条件来决定。冷却工具54、56的保持时间(即,冷却工具54、56保持在管78上关闭的时间)在1-30秒的范围内,优选在5-15秒范围内,用主动冷却或用通常更长的被动冷却系统。冷却温度、压力、以及保持时间取决于管78的尺寸和材料。
在夹紧部分80被完全冷却后,控制器77向工具致动器68、70发送信号,以将冷却工具54、56移动到打开位置(图10)。在此阶段建立密封,并防止流体流过管78。控制器77然后向夹钳致动器32发送信号,以打开上、下夹钳24、26,释放管78的端部(图11)。另外,控制器77向载架致动器76发送信号,以将载架移动到降低位置。当夹钳24、26释放时,密封的管78可以从管密封装置10处卸下(图2和图12),使管密封装置10处于空载状态,等待装载未密封的新管。
图13示出了根据本发明另一实施例的另一管密封装置110。在此结构中,加热和冷却工具150、152、154、156安装到可绕轴84旋转的鼓82上,该轴84与管78的纵轴86正交。在操作过程中,加热工具150、152定位成彼此呈面对关系,然后鼓82朝管78移动,以将接触元件164移动到与管78接触。在管78被加热后,鼓82远离管78移动,以将接触元件164从管78的密封部分80处移开,在加热工具150、152缩回后,鼓82被旋转,以将冷却工具154、156定位成彼此面对的关系。然后鼓82朝管78移动,从而冷却工具154、156的接触元件174放置到管78的夹紧部分80中。在管78被冷却后,鼓82缩回,并旋转回到其初始位置。然后管78被夹钳124、126释放并移走。在其他一些实施例中,鼓82上的加热和冷却工具150、152、154、156可以定位成彼此分开180度,以使鼓82具有叶片型外观。
图14的管密封装置210也可实施本发明。在此结构中,加热和冷却工具250、252、254、256安装在盘88上,该盘可绕与管78的纵轴86平行的轴90旋转。在操作过程中,加热工具250、252定位成彼此呈面对关系,然后盘88朝管78移动,将使接触元件264移动到与管78接触。在管78被加热之后,盘88远离管78移动,以将接触元件264从管78的密封部分80处移开。在加热工具250、252缩回后,盘88被旋转以将冷却工具254、456定位成彼此呈面对关系。然后盘88朝着管78移动从而冷却工具254、256的接触元件274被放置到管78的夹紧部分80中。在管78被冷却之后,盘88被缩回,并旋转回到初始位置。然后管78被夹钳224、226释放并移走。
虽然没有具体示出,但还存在许多使用单独加热工具和冷却工具的其他方法来单独加热和冷却管。例如,加热和冷却工具可以定位在枢转臂上,从而在加热管时,加热工具绕管枢转到关闭位置,要冷却管时,冷却工具绕管枢转到关闭位置。在又一些实施例中,仅一对工具中的一个被致动。例如,一个工具可以移动到与相应的固定工具接触。

Claims (33)
1.一种管密封装置,包括:

加热工具,其与基座相连,所述基座和加热工具连接成彼此相对移动;以及
冷却工具,其与基座相连,所述基座和冷却工具连接成彼此相对移动;
其中,加热工具和基座之间的相对移动使加热工具与弹性热塑性管的一部分对齐,加热工具可操作成接触、夹紧、以及加热弹性热塑性管的该部分,且其中,冷却工具和基座之间的相对移动使冷却工具与弹性热塑性管的该部分对齐,冷却工具可操作成接触、夹紧、以及冷却弹性热塑性管的该部分以形成密封。
2.根据权利要求1所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括可移动地与基座相连的载架,其中,加热工具与载架相连用于与载架一起移动以及相对于载架移动,其中冷却工具与载架相连用于与载架一起移动以及相对于载架移动。

用于支撑弹性热塑性管的离散件的机构;
用于加热弹性热塑性管的机构,所述加热机构与所述支撑机构适于彼此相对移动;以及
用于冷却弹性热塑性管的机构,所述冷却机构与所述支撑机构适于彼此相对移动;
其中,支撑机构和加热机构之间的相对移动使加热机构与弹性热塑性管的一部分对齐,加热机构可操作成接触和加热弹性热塑性管的该部分,且其中,支撑机构和冷却机构之间的相对移动使冷却机构与弹性热塑性管的该部分对齐,冷却机构可操作成接触和冷却弹性热塑性管的该部分。
17.根据权利要求16所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于使加热和冷却机构在第一位置和第二位置之间移动的机构,其中加热机构适于在第一位置与弹性热塑性管的一部分对齐,加热机构可操作成接触、夹紧、和加热弹性热塑性管的该部分,冷却机构适于在第二位置与弹性热塑性管的该部分对齐,冷却机构可操作成接触、夹紧和冷却弹性热塑性管的该部分。
18.根据权利要求17所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括限制移动机构的运动以定义第一位置的第一机构,和限制移动机构的运动以定义第二位置的第二机构。
19.根据权利要求16所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于夹持弹性热塑性管的机构。
20.根据权利要求16所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于致动加热机构使其在可控制的压力下与弹性热塑性管接触的机构。
21.根据权利要求20所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于致动冷却机构使其在可控制的压力下与弹性热塑性管接触的机构。
22.根据权利要求2 所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于控制冷却机构的温度的机构。
23. 根据权利要求22所述的管密封装置,其特征在于,还包括用于控制加热机构的温度的机构。
24.一种密封弹性热塑性管的离散部分的方法,所述方法包括:
支撑弹性热塑性管的离散部分;
使加热工具和弹性热塑性管之间产生相对运动;
使加热工具与弹性热塑性管的一部分对齐;
使弹性热塑性管的该部分与加热工具接触;
用加热工具加热弹性热塑性管的该部分;
使冷却工具和弹性热塑性管之间产生相对运动;
使冷却工具与弹性热塑性管的加热部分对齐;
使弹性热塑性管的加热部分与冷却工具接触;
用冷却工具冷却弹性热塑性管的加热部分。
25.根据权利要求24所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
相对于弹性热塑性管前后移动加热和冷却工具。
26.根据权利要求24所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
朝弹性热塑性管的该部分移动第一和第二加热工具;以及
远离弹性热塑性管的该部分移动第一和第二加热工具。
27.根据权利要求26所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
控制第一和第二加热工具与弹性热塑性管的该部分的接触压力。
28.根据权利要求27所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
朝弹性热塑性管的该部分移动第一和第二冷却工具;以及
远离弹性热塑性管的该部分移动第一和第二冷却工具。
29.根据权利要求28所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
控制第一和第二冷却工具与弹性热塑性管的该部分的接触压力。
30.根据权利要求29所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
控制第一和第二加热工具的温度。
31.根据权利要求30所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
控制第一和第二冷却工具的温度。
32.根据权利要求24所述的方法,其特征在于,用加热工具加热弹性热塑性管的该部分的步骤包括限定夹紧部,且其中,使弹性热塑性管的加热部分与冷却工具接触的步骤包括在管的弹性打开该夹紧部之前使弹性热塑性管的加热部分与冷却工具接触。
33.根据权利要求24所述的方法,其特征在于,其特征在于,用加热工具加热弹性热塑性管的该部分的步骤包括限定夹紧部,且其中,使弹性热塑性管的加热部分与冷却工具接触的步骤包括在管的弹性打开该夹紧部之后以及对打开的夹紧部进行重建的一段时间内使弹性热塑性管的加热部分与冷却工具接触。
