Abstract
本发明涉及一种用于WIG焊接金属的保护气,其含有1.5%至2%的氢、2%至5%的氦和余量的氩。试验证明,这种保护气混合物特别在焊接高合金钢时是极其有益的。
Description
本发明涉及一种用于WIG焊接金属,特别是焊接高合金钢的保护气。
在工业应用中,已知有相当多的焊接气用于保护气氛下的焊接过程,其中根据所要焊接的工件的组成和各个焊接任务的不同,使用不同的焊接气。所谓钨-惰性气体-电弧焊接(WIG)通常应理解为是一种利用不会熔掉或不会燃尽的且通常由钨构成的电极(耐用电极(Dauerelektrode))来进行的焊接方法。在本发明范畴内,所谓WIG-焊接法应理解为是其中使用的是不会熔掉的电极的各种焊接方法。通常在此过程中,电弧可在电极和工件之间自由烧灼。
众所周知,对导热能力低于铝的金属、特别是高合金钢进行的WIG-焊接过程都要以氩作为保护气来进行。为改善焊接效率,在氩气中通常也要混入其他气体,特别是2至7.5%的氢。随着工件组成和焊接添加料的不同,以这类保护气进行的焊接效果是颇有差异的。
在PCT/EP98/06746中公开了一种用于WIG-焊接的三成分混合物,该混合物由氩气混以0.15至1.5体积%的氢和0.5至9体积%的氦而组成。使用该混合物能够实质上改善光弧稳定性、焊接速度、焊缝表面和焊缝附近区域的氧化状况、流动性和焊缝外观。但是焊缝仍然需要显著的后加工步骤。特别是,酸洗成本很昂贵,而且焊透(Einbrand)质量也有待改善。
本发明的任务在于提供一种保护气,利用该保护气能改善WIG-焊接过程中的焊缝质量并能减少所需的焊缝后处理步骤。
该任务可通过具有权利要求1中所述特征的焊接气来解决。
本发明保护气的氢含量在1.5体积%至2体积%之间。保护气的氢含量能改善热传导性并同时对材料表面起到还原作用。实验表明,当氢含量超过1.5体积%时,这些性质就能带来特别有益的焊接效果。相反,氢含量小于1.5体积%时,在多数情况下就会带来不利的焊接效果。另一方面,氢含量也不应超过2体积%,因为保护气的氢含量实质上也会对熔体粘度有影响,若是高于约2体积%,则在多数情况下会非常不利地使得熔体粘度变得很小。
本发明焊接气的氦含量在2体积%至5体积%之间。超过2体积%的氦含量会实质上改善热传导性。同时,较低的氦含量也保证了电弧的良好的可见性。在绝大多数应用场合下,其他成分,例如氮气的添加证明是较为不利的。
本发明的保护气混合物,无论是在人工焊接还是在机器焊接过程中实质上都具有使用技术上的优点。流动性得到改善,则发生焊缝瑕疵的趋势就会减小。在相同的电流下,焊透状况会明显得到改观并且酸洗成本也会明显减小。在焊接时,特别是对高合金钢进行焊接时,实质上能获得更好的效果。
Claims (3)
1.用于WIG焊接金属,特别是用于焊接高合金钢的保护气,其特征在于,具有1.5至2体积%的氢、2至5体积%的氦和余量的氩。
2.利用如权利要求1所述的保护气进行WIG-焊接的方法。
3.如权利要求1所述的气体混合物作为WIG焊接高合金钢的保护气的用途。
