本发明涉及一种盖子。尤其是,它涉及一种包括箔端片的盖子,用于结合到容器,或者更通常地,与可以固定到容器例如金属罐的中间环结合,以封闭罐。
这种盖子通常打算用于密闭食物容器并通过剥离箔片打开盖子。在食物的杀菌等操作过程中,盖子或者“可剥离端”必须是能够保持密封的完整性而不损坏箔片。然而,还必须能够通过剥离箔片容易地打开盖子,来获得用于消耗的食物。
通常地,在超压杀菌锅中处理由可剥离端封闭的罐,在杀菌处理过程中,除了蒸汽的气压之外产生的罐中压力(压力差)可以通过气压的介入来平衡。由于箔片的过凸起,与导轨干涉导致的箔片的损坏,目前阻止使用不提供使用超压的杀菌锅(“非超压杀菌锅”)或者不提供超压设备的大体积生产量的杀菌锅,例如流体静力学以及滚筒和螺旋杀菌锅。
与导轨干涉时,尤其在穹顶的中心发生箔的损坏,但是也可发生在箔由于真空和压力的波纹导致的针孔扩大和密封整体性丧失的时侯。使用非超压杀菌锅时的另一个问题是由于过大的压力差导致围绕箔片的密封破损。
本发明设法克服当前禁止使用非超压杀菌锅的这些问题。
根据本发明,提供了一种用于固定到容器主体的开口端的盖子,该盖子包括结合到环形部件的隔膜,该隔膜具有包括至少一个同心的弯边的中心片,使得当盖子固定到容器并经受压力差时,隔膜是向外挠曲的以提供容器体积的增加,以及其中隔膜的带弯边的片的外形被选择成使得它向下的形状最多延伸到环形部件的最低平面。
提供弯边或者“波纹”减小了由于从波纹可利用的体积增加导致通过隔膜“看见的”压力差。
优选地,最大的向上位移不大于环形部件的接缝片的高度。这使得盖子可在需要使用滚筒和螺旋的压力杀菌锅的处理中使用。
因此本发明的盖子不能只依赖于处理压力来拉伸箔片和提供适当体积增加用于控制罐中压力。相反,通过提供带弯边的外形,本发明的盖子具有在处理之前引入到片中的拉伸。因此,处理压力差仅仅使带弯边的外形挠曲成大致穹顶形状,由此提供所需的体积增加。
在一个实施例中,隔膜结合到环形部件的片上,该结合的片以10°到20°的角度向外和向下径向延伸到水平面。通过使该结合的片的角度增加到大于箔片在它的向外穹顶形位置的最大对向角,该结合仅仅经受从标准端的剪切负载,该负载有效地具有两倍于以剥离模式被加载的标准端的破裂压力特性。
通常,在处理温度下(例如129℃),在剥离模式的73mm直径端的破裂压力大约为0.3巴,当角度增加时,其增加到接近0.6巴。大于20°直到60°的角度可能落在本发明的范围内,以便于对于更大挠曲的穹顶形提供附加破裂压力特性,但是隔膜然后可能变得不可剥离,除非在处理之后减小片的角度。实际上,高达45°的结合的片的角度提供足够的穹顶形尺寸(也就是最大挠曲)。
通常,环形部件是适于接缝(seaming)到金属罐体的金属环。这里使用的术语“环形”包括圆形的和不规则的环。例如,环形部件可以以立方体容器的形式使用,例如通常用于包装鱼。当盖子和圆柱形容器组合使用时,容器优选具有小于容器的直径的侧壁高度。
由于隔膜向外挠曲来控制罐中压力,该压力可以通过密封的破裂压力阻力调节,所以获得了基本上等于罐中内容物和顶部空间的任何气体的热膨胀的罐体积的增加。对于罐高度小于它的直径的圆柱形容器的纵横比提供了来自隔膜的足够的膨胀以用于相关的罐体积。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供了一种在热处理过程中控制罐中压力的方法,包括:将片结合到环形部件的倾斜密封表面;拉伸该片;将环形部件和结合到那里的片固定到一装有内容物的罐;以及通过加热到高达135℃的温度处理装有内容物的封闭的罐中的内容物;以及,至少在所述处理步骤中,给该片提供大致穹顶形状的外形,以便提供基本上等于罐中内容物和任何顶部空间的气体的热膨胀的罐体积。
优选地,该方法还包括将片拉伸成带弯边的外形,该外形匹配于在热处理过程中提供的大致穹顶形状的外形的纤维长度。
环形部件的倾斜密封表面最初可以是从10°到60°的角度,以及该方法还可以包括在处理步骤之后将密封表面改造成更小的角度,或者甚至是0°。以这种方式,在处理过程中更大的角度将是可以利用的,使得结合仅仅经受剪切(不是剥离)负载,和为了最终用户的轻松打开而减小该角度。

在图1中,通过结合到金属环5的倾斜片3上来固定包括箔片1的隔膜。结合的片3具有卷曲的内边缘并例如以15°的角度α(阿尔法)倾斜。
以实线表示向下弯曲的隔膜1的外形。该外形从结合的片3向下延伸到波纹7中。选择波纹的数量,使得隔膜的部分没有延伸到金属环(这里表示为9)的最低点的平面,用于轻松的操作以及在接缝到罐体的过程中不受到破坏的危险。波纹提供足够的拉伸以调节罐中压力不超过最大破裂压力。需要最小的内部压力用于使带弯边(beaded)的外形向外“翻转”到穹顶形状,这种形状仍然能够控制没有其它并破坏的危险。
在图2中,可以看出,密封表面以大于箔的正切角β(beta)的角度α(alpha)倾斜。这消除了剥离部件和最大化结合失效压力。
图2中的穹顶形的最高点位于旋转和螺旋的锅中使用的接缝片/双接缝的顶部下面。在使用普通的非超压杀菌锅的地方,这不是问题,以及图1虚线所示的箔片隔膜的完全挠曲的外形具有超过接缝片/双接缝高度h的高度H。

Claims (8)

1.一种用于固定到容器主体的开口端的盖子,
该盖子包括结合到环形部件的隔膜,
该隔膜具有中心片,该中心片包括至少一个同心的弯边,使得当盖子固定到容器并经受压力差时,该隔膜向外挠曲以提供容器容积的增加,
以及其中该隔膜带弯边的片的外形被选择成使得它的向下的形状最多延伸到该环形部件的最低平面。
2.根据权利要求1所述的盖子,其中
隔膜的最大的向上位移不大于该环形部件的接缝片的高度。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的盖子,其中
隔膜结合到该环形部件的片,并且结合的片以10°到20°的角度沿第一方向延伸到水平面。
4.根据权利要求1至3的任一项所述的盖子,其中,该环形部件是适于接缝到金属罐体的金属环。
5.根据权利要求1至4所述的盖子和具有小于容器直径的侧壁高度的圆柱形容器的组合物。
6.一种在热处理过程中控制罐中压力的方法,包括:
将一片结合到一环形部件的倾斜密封表面;
拉伸该片;
将该环形部件和与其结合的片固定到装有内容物的罐;
通过加热到高达135℃的温度处理该装有内容物的封闭的罐的内容物;和
至少在所述处理步骤中,给该片提供大致穹顶形状的外形,以便于提供基本上等于罐中内容物和任何顶部空间中的气体的热膨胀的罐体积的增加。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,还包括将该片拉伸成一带弯边的外形,该外形匹配于在热处理过程中提供的大致穹顶形状的外形的纤维长度。
8.根据权利要求6或7所述的方法,其中,该环形部件的倾斜密封表面最初在10°到60°的角度,以及该方法还包括在所述处理步骤之后将所述密封表面改造成更小的角度或者0°。
