Abstract

Description
本发明涉及消防栓,其包括有附加的阀以使得将毒素引入供水系统中变得更困难。
背景技术
传统的消防栓通常以一种带恶意的操作者所欣赏的方式而提供了通往市政供水系统的途径。简而言之,传统的消防栓包括至少一个用于连接在消防水龙带上的喷嘴。当不使用消防栓时,喷嘴被螺纹帽封闭。消防栓还包括有消防栓阀,其控制从供水系统到达并经过消防栓、经过喷嘴而进入消防水龙带的水流。
传统上,在喷嘴与位于消防栓下部的消防栓阀之间的消防栓套筒容纳有数加仑的液体。因此,可以拧开喷嘴帽、引入数加仑毒素、重新连上喷嘴帽并打开消防栓阀以让毒素与市政供水系统连通,并通过重力以及可能至少一定程度地通过伯努利定理而流到市政供水系统中,这是因为在连上喷嘴帽时,来自供水系统的水压不能将所述毒素回压出消防栓之外。
概要
根据本发明的一种或多种结构和实施例可设在喷嘴和消防栓阀之间,以便使通过消防栓将毒素引入供水系统中变得更加困难或者不可能。根据本发明的各种实施例的结构如阀在喷嘴打开且消防栓阀打开时允许水的流动,但在喷嘴打开而消防栓阀关闭时防止或者基本上防止水流过消防栓阀,从而封堵了消防栓套筒的部分。

本发明的各种实施例的另一目的是提供可改进成用于消防栓的结构,以减少将毒素引入供水系统的可能性。
本发明的各种实施例的另一目的是提供设在消防栓的喷嘴与其消防栓阀之间的结构,通过该结构,当至少一个喷嘴和消防栓阀打开时水才能实际上流动。

详细描述
图1显示了传统的消防栓10。消防栓10典型地包括大致垂直的套筒12,在如下一般所述的特定情况下,水可以通过该套筒12从总水管流到消防水龙带。在所述套筒12的一端为可控地中断供水系统16和套筒12之间的流体流动的消防栓阀14。在套筒12的上端设有帽结构18,其例如可包括外壳盖20以及可在外壳盖20内旋转的操作螺母22。操作螺母22包括有可接受促动杆24上的螺纹的螺纹,促动杆24又与消防栓阀14连接。不仅帽结构18以不透水的方式密封了套筒12的顶部,而且消防员或者其他人可以利用螺母22以经由促动杆24来打开消防栓阀14。消防栓10包括至少一个喷嘴26,并且可包括更多喷嘴26。每个喷嘴26可以由帽28如螺纹帽来封闭。该消防栓也可以包括例如对接特征30的分离结构。
在正常操作下,可如下所述地来使用消防栓10以帮助灭火,为过热的市民和/或他们的后代、公路赛的参与者提供凉爽的夏日休息,或者用于其它用途或受益者。首先,在取下帽28之后,通常可以将水龙带(未示出)螺纹式连接在喷嘴26上(例如见图1)。然后,在连接水龙带之后,可用扳手旋转螺母22以使促动杆24向下推压在消防栓阀14的相应部分上以打开消防栓阀14(例如见图4)。当阀14打开时,水从供水系统16流经消防栓阀14、套筒12而流出喷嘴26并进入到水龙带,从而朝着其所需的应用或目的地流动。
然而,消防栓10也可能成为敢于试图将毒素引入公共供水系统中的歹徒的注意目标。自从恐怖活动成为高度关注焦点的著名“9-11”(2001年9月11)事件那天以后,这种担心也已经增加了。因此,在该带头的事件之后,对根据本发明的各种实施例的结构的需求变得更加明显,这一点已被本申请的发明人所提前预见到。特别是,具有罪恶企图的人可利用消防栓10的位于喷嘴26和消防阀14之间的套筒12能够容纳数加仑的液体的这一事实而试图将毒素引入到供水系统16中。因此,如图1至图4所示,犯罪分子可以如图1中所示地旋开帽28,如图2中所示地引入毒素,如图3中所示地将帽28重新旋上,并如图4中所示地打开消防栓阀14。当喷嘴26或所有喷嘴26关闭而阀打开时,阀内的液体可与供水系统16中的液体连通,从而污染供水系统16,并可能对其设施与供水系统16连通的所有人都不利。
根据本发明的各种实施例的各种结构可以防止或减少这些卑劣的和应受指责的行为的可能性。一般而言,根据本发明的各种实施例的各种结构在喷嘴26和消防栓阀14之间引入物理结构,只有当喷嘴26和消防栓阀14均打开时水才能通过该物理结构。作为备选或作为组合,这种结构可以封闭套筒12的位于喷嘴26以下的部分,以使犯罪分子无法获得在关闭喷嘴26和打开阀14之前投入毒素的空间。
根据图6至图8所示的第一实施例,根据本发明的第二阀32作为与门以逻辑方式操作,操作对象为喷嘴26和消防栓阀14的至少部分地同时打开(否则当通过套筒12对喷嘴26施加水压时,犯罪分子或者其他人有机会将毒素引入到消防栓10中)。
在图6至图8所示的实施例中,第二阀32包括阀座34,其优选地但并非必须地以允许第二阀32改进成可用于消防栓10的方式而安装到套筒12上。限制件36与阀座34相配合而以不透水或基本上不透水的方式来隔断套筒12,从而在满足一定的条件下防止或者基本上防止水或者其它液体的流动。此外,阀座34和第二阀32封闭了套筒12的部分,以阻止向套筒12的被封堵部分引入毒素或者使这种行为变得更加困难。在图6至图8所示的实施例中,第二阀32还可包括O形环38,其一方面有助于在阀座34和套筒12之间形成密封,另一方面有助于在阀座34和限制件36之间形成密封。
可设置偏压结构40以将限制件36偏压至靠在O形环38和/或阀座34上。偏压结构40可以包括下面的任何一种或者其它结构:任何弹性件例如包括但不限于弹簧、如所需地成形或形成的任何形式的弹性材料,和/或施加到限制件36上以通过重力来进行偏压的重物。如下所述,如果限制件36以与杆24的运动相对应地运动的方式而联接在促动杆24上、例如安装在杆24上时,则偏压结构40也可包括促动杆24。
限制件36可以为圆盘形以便大致与套筒12的内表面相对应,并且它可包括套环42,以便以滑动方式来容纳杆24的部分或者以其它方式连接在或者安装在杆24上。
当取下喷嘴帽28并且打开喷嘴26时,限制件36防止或者基本上防止毒素或者其它液体、固体或物质被注入喷嘴26下面的套筒12中。根据本发明的优选实施例形成的限制件36具有适当的可抵抗例如通过螺丝刀、撬杆或者带恶意或其它目的者时常使用的其它工具来进行变形或破坏的能力,因而恶棍、歹徒、坏人或者带恶意的其他卑劣类型的人将不能下压或者刺破限制件36来打开套筒12。由于限制件36在除了水从供水系统16经过喷嘴26向外流动以外的所有情况下都封闭了第二阀32,因此可以防止这类犯罪行为。

根据第二实施例,限制件36安装到杆24上以随同杆24一起运动。在此实施例中,限制件36抵靠在阀座34的底部上或者抵靠在位于阀座34下面的O形环38上,使得只有当杆24向下运动时第二阀32才可打开,这也意味着消防栓14打开。在该实施例中,与实施例一中的阀不同的是,第二阀32可在消防栓阀14打开而喷嘴26关闭时至少理论上打开至一定程度。实际上这并没有什么不同,因为帽28设置在喷嘴26上从而防止了不希望有的物质被引入消防栓10中。用于这类实施例的逻辑表如表2所示,操作对象分别为消防栓阀和喷嘴的至少部分地打开,并且在这里“O”也表示“打开”而“C”也表示“关闭”:

可以采用任何所需的物理结构来实现逻辑表1或2的目标,以导致或阻止将不想要的物质引入消防栓。根据本发明的实施例的部件优选为耐用材料,但也可以为任何所需的材料。例如,传统上消防栓的很多零件是青铜,根据本发明的各种实施例的结构的至少一些或所有的金属部件由青铜或者其它传统或非传统的材料形成。O形环可以由用于消防栓中的传统材料或者非传统材料形成。形成偏压结构40的适当弹性结构如弹簧可以由具有必要弹性模量、耐久性、成本和其它性能的任何所需材料形成。

Claims (22)
1.一种消防栓,其包括:
a.适于至少间接地与水管相连通的套筒;
b.从所述套筒上延伸出并与所述套筒相连通的喷嘴;
c.适于可控地限制所述套筒和所述水管之间的连通的消防栓阀;
d.适于允许促动所述消防栓阀的阀促动器,所述促动器包括促动杆;
e.适于至少封闭所述套筒的未与所述水管相连通的端部的帽结构;和
f.第二阀,所述第二阀设在所述消防栓阀和所述喷嘴之间,所述第二阀包括:
(i)阀座;
(ii)限制件,其适于与所述阀座配合,以便在所述喷嘴打开且水未流过所述喷嘴时隔断所述套筒的处于所述第二阀以上的部分与所述套筒的处于所述第二阀以下的部分之间的连通;和
(iii)偏压结构,其适于偏压所述限制件至抵靠在所述阀座上,使得只有当所述消防栓阀至少部分地打开且所述喷嘴至少部分地打开时,来自所述水管的水才能流过所述喷嘴。
