尽管在现有技术中已经存在上述这些口腔组合物,但是仍然需要一种口腔组合物,其能够改善抛光,同时又不会增加磨损度或口腔组合物的相对牙磨损(RDA)。
已经发现在口腔组合物中同时提供珍珠岩和白垩有助于牙齿抛光。该组合可以增强口腔组合物从牙齿上去除粘附污物、释放易受影响的牙斑、去除易受影响的碎屑和去除表面污迹的能力,这又可以改善口感和利于牙齿洁白。
根据本发明,提供一种含有白垩的口腔组合物,其特征在于该口腔组合物中还含有珍珠岩。
珍珠岩包含平滑的或相对平坦的颗粒,其在研磨后由锯齿状边缘、蛋壳状的碎片构成,这些碎片在使用时被打碎成更小的碎片。
珍珠岩的物理结构意味着珍珠岩颗粒在受到例如刷牙时牙刷的压力时,它的平面结构能确保定向其本身平行于工作表面。该作用随着压力的增加而增强。在表面和沉积物间滑动的平滑颗粒,可以沿着宽表面小心地去除沉积物,这样可以减小磨损效果。
然而该效果会被没有打碎的单个融合珍珠岩之间三角拱肩的形成所妨碍。如果这些三角拱肩是立体的,那么它们的形成能够导致其接触的表面有更多的刮痕,并在负荷下没有达到平滑效果,从而产生问题。因此,这将会增加掺入这些颗粒的制剂的磨损度。
令人惊奇地,我们已经发现,珍珠岩可以加入到包含白垩的口腔组合物中,而不会增加该组合物的总磨损度。这是通过珍珠岩和白垩之间令人惊奇的相互作用完成的。在口腔组合物中,白垩与任意珍珠岩三角拱肩的锯齿边缘相结合并使其变平滑。因此,在包含白垩的口腔组合物中加入珍珠岩能够在不增加磨损度的情况下增加口腔组合物的抛光能力。
因此,在口腔组合物中与白垩颗粒结合的珍珠岩颗粒在其与口腔接触时破坏表面例如牙齿及与软组织的可能性小得多。在口腔组合物中与白垩颗粒结合的珍珠岩颗粒显著增加口腔组合物的清洁能力,这样它们的组合可以用于改善抛光而不会产生由过度磨损导致的损害。
术语口腔组合物是本领域已知的,包括洁牙剂、牙膏、软锭剂、胶、锭剂、漱口水及其他。
根据本发明,口腔组合物中的珍珠岩可以是本领域通常已知的任何珍珠岩或珍珠岩混合物。可以是粗制或非膨胀珍珠岩。优选为膨胀珍珠岩,其可被快速加热到871℃以上,以进行膨胀并随后冷却。
珍珠岩优选磨损值用RDA表示为125-150(J Dent Res 37:1060-1068,1958 or J Dent Res 55:563 to 573,1976)。优选珍珠岩是E50珍珠岩,可取自Worldminerals Italia srl.,,Alzaia Trento 6,20094Corsico,Milano,Italy。

珍珠岩组合物优选包含SiO270-75%w/w,Al2O310-15%w/w,Fe2O30.5-1%w/w,Na2O4-5%w/w,K2O7-9%w/w,CaO0.2-0.4%w/w,MgO0.05-1.5%w/w,TiO20.05-1.5%w/w。

白垩包含碳酸钙,口腔组合物中的碳酸钙可浸析出碳酸根离子。这些碳酸根离子又会发生反应,结果使金属离子从珍珠岩中浸析出来。令人惊奇地,这种相互作用减少了口腔组合物中由于使用相对高水平的珍珠岩而具有的负面影响。
白垩与用于口腔组合物的替代磨料,例如二氧化硅相比,也具有更活泼的化学反应性。因此,白垩的这些性质能够阻止浸析出的金属离子对包含珍珠岩和白垩的口腔组合物产生副作用。

牙膏的磨损度可以根据Journal of Dental Research(1976)55(4),563所述的实验设计进行测量。其描述了如何对相对牙磨损(RDA)进行评价。
根据本发明的另一实施方案,提供一种如任一项前述权利要求所述的口腔组合物,其具有的抛光百分比为60-95。
优选抛光百分比为70-90。最优选抛光百分比为75-85。
抛光百分比是指每一圆盘的抛光百分率。如何对各个圆盘的抛光百分率进行评价的方法将在下面进行讨论。
评价抛光效力的试验是在学术文献中已知的,例如J.G Masters,A Zaccagnino,R,Heu和M.Stranick.J Dent.Res.81 Spec Iss AAbs.2152(2002)。抛光试验一般在羟基磷灰石(HAP)圆盘上进行。选择该材料因为它具有与牙釉质相似的性质,并可以以适宜的圆盘形式获得。在用所试验的牙膏糊剂刷拭之前,圆盘用砂纸预先擦亮到一个设定的光泽度。该试验通过测定经过刷拭的HAP瓦制品的光泽度来评价糊剂的抛光性。光泽测定可以采用Sheen Tri-microgloss meter在60deg/60deg(λ射角/测量角)下进行。
每个测试产品选用4个HAP圆盘,每个瓦制品都采用科萨茹图形在WIRA刷拭机(Goodbrand Jeffrys Mark III磨损试验器)上刷拭。向每个圆盘施加的重量为375g,刷拭速度为150rpm,并使用标准中等头牙刷。光泽测定在1000,5000,10000,15000个行程时进行。每个瓦制品在同一模版下在每个时间点进行四次测量,以使每次测量都在相同的点上进行。
用于每次产品测试的牙膏浆体可以如下制备,加入1份糊剂,1份蒸馏水(微孔水)和1份SCMC稀释剂。其中SCMC稀释剂包括5%甘油,0.5%SCMC 7m,0.01%福尔马林和94.49%微孔水。
该浆体用heidolph end over搅拌器混合30分钟以确保在用于研究前所有的糊剂都充分地混合。
各个圆盘的抛光百分比是由刷拭后的圆盘的平均光泽度除以相同圆盘的平均基线光泽度,然后乘以100得到的。其结果就是实验2中详述的数字或者叫作抛光百分比。该结果作为每个圆盘的抛光百分比详细列于实验2中。在Excel软件中进行统计分析,显示其Student′st-检验的显著性差异为p<0.05。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供珍珠岩在前述任一项权利要求所述的用于抛光牙齿的口腔组合物中的用途。
根据本发明的口腔组合物包含本领域常用的其他组分,例如:抗微生物剂,如三氯生、氯己定、铜盐、锌盐及亚锡盐,如柠檬酸锌、硫酸锌、甘氨酸锌、柠檬酸锌钠及焦磷酸亚锡、血根碱提取物、甲硝唑、季铵化合物,如氯化十六烷基吡啶鎓;双胍,如二葡萄糖酸氯己定、海克替啶、奥替尼啶、阿来克定;及卤化的双酚化合物,如2,2’-亚甲基双-(4-氯-6-溴苯酚);
消炎剂,例如布洛芬、氟比洛芬、阿司匹林、吲哚美辛等;
抗龋齿剂,例如氟化钠及氟化亚锡、氟化胺、一氟磷酸钠、三偏磷酸钠及酪蛋白;
牙斑缓冲剂例如尿素、乳酸钙、甘油磷酸钙及聚丙烯酸锶;
维生素例如维生素A、C及E;
植物提取物;
脱敏剂,例如柠檬酸钾、氯化钾、酒石酸钾、碳酸氢钾、草酸钾、硝酸钾及锶盐;
防牙垢剂,例如,焦磷酸的碱金属盐、含次磷酸的聚合物、有机磷酸盐和磷酸柠檬酸盐等;
生物分子,例如杆菌素、抗体、酶等;
芳香剂,例如薄荷及薄荷油;
蛋白质材料例如角蛋白及胶原;
防腐剂;
不透明剂;
着色剂;
pH调节剂;
甜味剂;
药学可接受的载体,例如淀粉、蔗糖、水或水/醇体系等;
表面活性剂,例如,阴离子、非离子、阳离子及两性离子或两性表面活性剂;
颗粒研磨材料例如二氧化硅、氧化铝、磷酸氢钙、二水合磷酸氢钙、焦磷酸钙、羟基磷灰石、三偏磷酸盐、不溶性六偏磷酸盐等,包括附聚的颗粒研磨材料,通常在口腔护理组合物中为3-60重量%。
稀释剂例如甘油、山梨醇、丙二醇、木糖醇、乳糖醇等,山梨醇在口腔组合物中可以最高达50重量%;
粘合剂和增稠剂,例如羧甲基纤维素钠、黄原胶、阿拉伯胶等,以及合成的聚合物,例如聚丙烯酸酯和羧乙烯基聚合物,如Carbopol;可以增强活性组分如抗微生物剂递送的聚合体化合物也可包括在内。
这些聚合体的例子包括聚乙烯基甲基醚与马来酸酐的共聚物及其他类似的增强递送的聚合物,如在DE-A-3,942,643(Colgate)中所述的聚合物;
用于缓冲口腔护理组合物的pH值和离子强度的缓冲剂和盐;以及其他任选的组分,可以包括例如,漂白剂,如过氧化合物,例如过氧二磷酸钾;泡腾体系,例如碳酸氢钠/柠檬酸体系;变色体系;抗氧化剂,例如α-硫辛酸等。
脂质体也可以用于改善活性组分的递送或稳定性。

口腔组合物中精细研磨的天然白垩具有特殊的相对牙磨损。其不会由于将珍珠岩加入到精细研磨的天然白垩中而显著增加。而精细研磨的天然白垩和珍珠岩的组合提供了明显增强的抛光作用。这些结果显示含有珍珠岩和精细研磨的天然白垩的组合能在不增加相对牙磨损的情况下改善抛光。
Claims (8)
1.一种包含白垩的口腔组合物,其特征在于该口腔组合物还包含珍珠岩。
2.权利要求1的口腔组合物,其中珍珠岩在该口腔组合物中为0.01重量%-20重量%。
3.前述任一项权利要求的口腔组合物,其中白垩在该口腔组合物中为5重量%-60重量%。
4.前述任一项权利要求的口腔组合物,其中白垩为精细研磨的天然白垩。
5.前述任一项权利要求的口腔组合物,其中该口腔组合物的pH值为8-14。
6.前述任一项权利要求的口腔组合物,其相对牙磨损为140-170。
7.前述任一项权利要求的口腔组合物,其“抛光百分比”为60-95。
8.珍珠岩在前述任一项权利要求的用于抛光牙齿的口腔组合物中的用途。
