背景技术

Claims (12)

1.一种在多客户网络中提供广播节目的暂停功能的方法,所述方法包括:
对于网络上的多个客户分配存储器中的预定存储限制;
向客户显示(54)广播节目;
从所述客户接收(56)暂停请求;
确定(58)客户的所存储的广播节目是否已经达到了客户的预定存储限制;
如果客户的所存储的广播节目未达到客户的预定存储限制,则暂停(60)所述广播节目的显示;
当暂停广播节目的显示时,在存储器中存储(60)广播节目;和
如果客户的所存储的广播节目已经达到了客户的预定存储限制,则显示(64)所存储的广播节目。
2.按照权利要求1的方法,还包括步骤:
从所述客户接收播放请求;和
向所述客户显示(64)所存储的广播节目。
3.按照权利要求1的方法,其中,所述对于多个客户分配预定存储限制的步骤包括对于多个客户分配相同的存储限制。
4.按照权利要求1的方法,其中,所述对于多个客户分配预定存储限制的步骤包括对于多个客户中的一些分配不同的存储限制。
5.按照权利要求1的方法,还包括步骤:
从所述客户接收回倒请求;和
如果客户的所存储的广播节目未达到客户的预定存储限制,则允许客户回倒通过所存储的广播节目。
6.按照权利要求1的方法,其中,所述显示所存储的广播节目的步骤包括:
从所述客户接收快进请求;
快进通过所存储的广播节目;和
允许所述客户暂停节目的显示直到再次达到客户的预定存储限制。
7.一种在多客户网络中提供广播节目的暂停功能的系统,所述系统包括:
用于对于网络上的多个客户分配存储器(32)中的预定存储限制的装置(30);
用于向客户显示广播节目的装置(12,36,44);
用于从所述客户接收暂停请求的装置(44);
用于确定客户的所存储的广播节目是否已经达到了客户的预定存储限制的装置(12,30);
用于如果客户的所存储的广播节目未达到客户的预定存储限制、则暂停所述广播节目的显示的装置(12);
用于当暂停广播节目的显示时、在存储器(32)中存储广播节目的装置(30);和
用于如果客户的所存储的广播节目已经达到了客户的预定存储限制、则显示所存储的广播节目的装置(30,36,44)。
8.按照权利要求7的系统,还包括:
用于从所述客户接收播放请求的装置(44);和
用于向所述客户显示所存储的广播节目的装置(30,36,44)。
9.按照权利要求7的系统,其中,所述用于对于多个客户分配预定存储限制的装置(30)包括用于对于多个客户分配相同的存储限制的装置。
10.按照权利要求7的系统,其中,所述用于对于多个客户分配预定存储限制的装置(30)包括用于对于多个客户中的一些分配不同的存储限制的装置。
11.按照权利要求7的系统,还包括:
用于从所述客户接收回倒请求的装置(44);和
用于如果客户的所存储的广播节目还未达到客户的预定存储限制、则允许客户回倒通过所存储的广播节目的装置(30)。
12.按照权利要求7的系统,其中,所述用于显示所存储的广播节目的装置(30,36,44)包括:
用于从所述客户接收快进请求的装置(44);
用于快进通过所存储的广播节目的装置(30);和
用于允许所述客户暂停节目的显示直到再次达到客户的预定存储限制的装置(30)。
