Abstract
【解決手段】マルチクライアントネットワークにおける配信番組に対する一時停止機能を提供する方法であって、前記ネットワーク上の複数のクライアントに対し、記憶装置内の所定の格納制限を割り当てるステップと、配信番組をクライアントに表示するステップと、前記クライアントから一時停止リクエストを受信するステップと、前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達したか判断するステップと、前記所定の格納制限に到達していないという判断に応答して、前記配信番組の表示を一時停止するステップと、一時停止されている間、前記配信番組を前記記憶装置に格納するステップと、前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達しているという判断に応答して、前記格納された配信番組の表示を再開するステップとから構成。

Claims (12)
- マルチクライアントネットワークにおける配信番組に対する一時停止機能を提供する方法であって、
前記ネットワーク上の複数のクライアントに対し、記憶装置内の所定の格納制限を割り当てるステップと、
配信番組をクライアントに表示するステップと、
前記クライアントから一時停止リクエストを受信するステップと、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達したか判断するステップと、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達していないという判断に応答して、前記配信番組の表示を一時停止するステップと、
前記配信番組の表示が一時停止されている間、前記配信番組を前記記憶装置に格納するステップと、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達しているというさらなる判断に応答して、前記格納された配信番組の表示を再開するステップと、
から構成されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記クライアントから再生リクエストを受信するステップと、
前記クライアントに前記格納された配信番組を表示するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記複数のクライアントに対し所定の格納制限を割り当てるステップは、前記複数のクライアントに対し同一の格納制限を割り当てることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記複数のクライアントに対し所定の格納制限を割り当てるステップは、前記複数のクライアントの一部に対し異なる格納制限を割り当てることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記クライアントから巻き戻しリクエストを受信するステップと、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達していない場合、前記クライアントによる前記格納された配信番組の巻き戻しを許可するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
前記格納された配信番組を表示するステップは、
前記クライアントから早送りリクエストを受信するステップと、
前記格納された配信番組を早送りするステップと、
前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に再到達するまで、前記クライアントによる前記番組の表示の一時停止を許可するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - マルチクライアントネットワークにおける配信番組に対する一時停止機能を提供するシステムであって、
前記ネットワーク上の複数のクライアントに対し、記憶装置内の所定の格納制限を割り当てる手段と、
配信番組をクライアントに表示する手段と、
前記クライアントから一時停止リクエストを受信する手段と、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達したか判断する手段と、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達していないという判断に応答して、前記配信番組の表示を一時停止する手段と、
前記配信番組の表示が一時停止されている間、前記配信番組を前記記憶装置に格納する手段と、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達しているというさらなる判断に応答して、前記格納された配信番組の表示を再開する手段と、
から構成されることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項7記載のシステムであって、さらに、
前記クライアントから再生リクエストを受信する手段と、
前記クライアントに前記格納された配信番組を表示する手段と、
を有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項7記載のシステムであって、さらに、
前記複数のクライアントに対し所定の格納制限を割り当てる手段は、前記複数のクライアントに対し同一の格納制限を割り当てることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項7記載のシステムであって、さらに、
前記複数のクライアントに対し所定の格納制限を割り当てる手段は、前記複数のクライアントの一部に対し異なる格納制限を割り当てることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項7記載のシステムであって、さらに、
前記クライアントから巻き戻しリクエストを受信する手段と、
前記クライアントの格納されている配信番組が前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に到達していない場合、前記クライアントによる前記格納された配信番組の巻き戻しを許可する手段と、
を有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項7記載のシステムであって、
前記格納された配信番組を表示する手段は、
前記クライアントから早送りリクエストを受信する手段と、
前記格納された配信番組を早送りする手段と、
前記クライアントの所定の格納制限に再到達するまで、前記クライアントによる前記番組の表示の一時停止を許可する手段と、
を有することを特徴とするシステム。
