Abstract

Description

蒸气屏蔽组合物
本发明的领域
本发明涉及对于气体和水分具有低渗透性的一种水可分散的组合物,以及使用上述组合物制得的防潮纸、纸板或卡纸板。
本发明的背景
最近,为了节约资源,收集用过的纸张和在将纸张溶于水中之后再生纤维的需求日益增多。要求满足这一需求的纸张具有所谓的容易浸渍性能,即当纸溶于水中时该纸张容易地浸渍成细纤维形式。
用于制造容易浸渍性防潮纸的组合物可以从US 5,527,623中已知。US 5,527,623的实施例8描述了水乳液,它包括组分(X),(Y)和(Z),其中组分(X)是具有0℃玻璃化转变温度的乙烯-氯乙烯系列共聚物,其包含20wt%乙烯,41wt%氯乙烯和39wt%乙酸乙烯酯,组分(Y)是具有125℃软化点的松香酯的乳液和组分(Z)是具有57℃熔点的蜡的乳液。以20g/m2的量施涂于80g/m2的基重的纸上,该涂层纸具有19g/m2·24h的透湿性。
本发明概述

本发明的组合物包括组分(A)到(C)和任选的一种或几种组分(D)到(H),按照下列干重用量(wt):
(A)5-89wt%的聚乙烯醇缩丁醛(PVB)
(B)1-20wt%的苯乙烯马来酰亚胺(SMI)
(C)5-50wt%的丙烯酸乙烯酯
(D)0-20wt%的水溶性组分,优选聚乙烯醇或淀粉
(E)0-7wt%的蜡
(F)0-6wt%的苯乙烯马来酸酐共聚物(SMA)或它的盐
(G)0-70wt%的合成粘结剂,优选苯乙烯丁二烯(SB)胶乳
(H)0-70wt%的矿物,优选高岭土或滑石
本发明的详细说明
下面详细描述本发明。本发明的含水乳液或分散体含有如上所述的组分(A),(B)和(C)作为主要组分。
组分(A)是5-89wt%(干重)PVB。如果PVB在本发明的组合物中的含量低于5wt%,则用该乳液或分散体获得的纸张具有差的拒水性能和太低的透湿性。具有高于89wt%PVB的组合物具有太高的抗剪强度而无法在高速纸张涂敷工艺中施涂。
优选的组合物包括40-70wt%PVB。用包括低于70wt%的PVB的根据本发明的组合物处理过的纸能够使用低混合速度再次浆化,而从所获得的纸浆生产的纸显示出较低量的粘性和团聚的颗粒。用包括至少40wt%的PVB的组合物处理过的纸对于液体穿透具有优异的阻力。
PVB一般作为在水中的乳液来使用。PVB乳液的合适浓度是大约50wt%。高于50wt%的浓度难以处理,归因于它们的快干特性。
该乳液包括具有在90至1000nm之间的优选平均粒度的PVB颗粒。为了稳定该PVB乳液,该乳液进一步包括乳化剂。PVB在水中的合适乳化剂是例如蓖麻油等。
一般该PVB乳液包括至少20wt%,但更优选至少40wt%的乳化剂,基于100wt%的PVB计。
组分(B)包括至多20wt%,优选5-15wt%,的苯乙烯马来酰亚胺共聚物(SMI)。应该避免其超过20wt%,因为涂有根据本发明的组合物的纸的热封性太低。优选的共聚物包括20-30wt%的马来酸单体单元。
组分(C)是包括5-30wt%的乙烯和粒度在100至1000nm之间的丙烯酸乙烯酯共聚物。优选该粒度在300-700nm之间。最优选该粒度在450-550nm之间。在本发明的组合物中丙烯酸乙烯酯的量是5-50wt%,优选10-30wt%。至少5wt%的丙烯酸乙烯酯的量用于获得纸,后者可用水基胶液、热熔体容易地密封或它是热封性的。所述量高于50wt%的组合物则显示出太高的蒸气透过性。
本发明的组合物可以进一步包括一个或多个下列组分:
(D)0-20wt%的水溶性组分,优选聚乙烯醇或淀粉
(E)0-7wt%的蜡
(F)0-6wt%的苯乙烯马来酸酐共聚物(SMA)或它的盐
(G)0-70wt%的合成粘结剂,优选苯乙烯丁二烯(SB)胶乳
(H)0-70wt%的矿物,优选高岭土或滑石
组分(D)包括至多20wt%的水溶性粘结剂如聚乙烯醇或淀粉并一般被添加来改进组合物的流变性能。合适的聚乙烯醇具有较高的分子量,优选超过150,000g/mol和具有尽可能低的皂化度。
组分(E)是具有50℃到100℃,优选50℃到70℃的熔点的蜡的乳液。如果它的熔点是太低的,则使用含水乳液获得的纸具有差的粘合性能,而如果它的熔点太高,则所获得的纸具有差的疏水性能。用于本发明中的蜡的乳液是,例如,市场上可买到的石蜡乳液或微晶蜡(microwax)乳液,和如果想望和需要,这些乳液的混合物都能够使用。
组分(F)是苯乙烯马来酸酐共聚物(SMA)或它的盐,优选包括20-50wt%的马来酸酐单元。SMA的合适分子量是在80,000至150,000g/mol之间。在本发明的组合物中SMA的量是0-6wt%,优选0.1-4wt%。SMA的低于2wt%的量早已改进本发明组合物的流变特性。在包括至多7wt%蜡的组合物中SMA的附加优点是它防止蜡(尤其低熔点)迁移到涂有该组合物的纸张的表面上。应该避免超过6wt%的SMA的组合物,归因于它们的亲水特性。
组分(G)是合成粘结剂如苯乙烯丁二烯(SB),丙烯酸酯,丙烯酸苯乙烯酯或聚乙酸乙烯酯胶乳,优选苯乙烯丁二烯胶乳,它以至多70wt%的量被添加到本发明的组合物中。
组分(H)是矿物如高岭土或滑石。高岭土或滑石和尤其后者在本发明的组合物中的使用甚至进一步改进阻隔性能和纸的运行性能。
本发明的含水乳液或分散体能够通过例如下列方法来生产。作为组分(A)的PVB乳液被加入到装有搅拌器的容器中并搅拌到不形成气泡的程度。SMI的含水溶液和丙烯酸乙烯酯的乳液相继被添加到该混合物中,可能的话还添加一种或多种的组分(D)到(H)。因此获得了本发明的含水乳液或分散体。
本发明进一步涉及包括原纸的容易浸渍的防潮的纸,在该原纸的至少一个表面上涂有一层包括本发明的水可分散的组合物的含水乳液或分散体,其中在该含水乳液中的固体含量是30-65wt%。优选固体含量是45-50wt%。在30-60wt%范围内,根据本发明的组合物的粘度适合于在纸张涂敷机器上处理。具有45-50wt%的固体含量的组合物的粘度允许在高速纸张涂敷机械上处理。
本发明的容易浸渍的防潮的纸通过在原纸的至少一个表面上以0.5-25g/m2,优选5-15g/m2的量涂敷含水乳液来获得。如果含水乳液的用量低于8g/m2,则所获得的纸因为针孔的形成和原纸纤维的起毛的发生而具有低防潮性能和拒水性,而如果含水乳液的量高于25g/m2,则无法获得蒸气透过速率的相关改进。然而在某些应用中,例如表面施胶,甚至低涂胶量,如0.5-2g/m2,可以为纸性能得到所需改进。
牛皮纸,无原料木的纸,瓦楞纸板原纸等能够用作该原纸,但用于本发明中的原纸不局限于这些。
为了获得本发明的容易浸渍的防潮的纸,例如,确定量的含水乳液用例如刮刀涂布机,辊涂机,膜转移涂布机,喷雾涂布机,幕涂机或气刀涂布机被涂敷在原纸上,和然后适当地干燥,甚至在高于约125℃和至多200℃的温度下。另外,当干燥温度太低时,有时见到所获得的容易浸渍的防潮的纸具有差的防潮性能。
本发明的容易浸渍的防潮纸因为优异的特性而最适合用于宽的领域中,例如作为包装纸,耐水性波纹状纤维板纸或复印纸的包装纸。
本发明的另外优点是根据本发明的组合物不含卤素,对液体具有高阻力并能够在线地在纸生产机上施涂。用本发明的组合物处理的纸显示高的氧阻隔性能,使得非常适合于包装食品。
实验
通过实施例I到X,根据表1和表2来更详细地解释本发明。
含水组合物是以表1中所示的组分(A)到(H)的量获得。对于每一种组合物,涂层纸是在下列涂敷条件下制得:以表2中所示的涂敷量用辊涂机将各含水乳液涂敷在具有在表2中给出的基重的纸或卡纸板上来获得各涂层纸。
该涂层纸在140℃下干燥,和蒸气透过速率,拒水性,摩擦系数,和耐油脂性的各项指标评价如下。
该蒸气透过速率是根据DIN 53122的杯碟法测量的。
该拒水性是使用由8g/m2的根据表1的组合物处理的牛皮纸分别在3分钟和10分钟根据Cobb方法测量的。
根据3M的Kitt试验来测量耐油脂性。
该摩擦系数(C.O.F)是在可变斜坡上用1kg的重量来测量。给出评级“低”,“中等”和“高”。
所获得的结果示于表2中。

Claims (9)

1.一种组合物,包括组分(A)到(C)和任选的一种或几种组分(D)到(H),按照下列干重用量(wt):
(A)5-89wt%的聚乙烯醇缩丁醛(PVB)
(B)1-20wt%的苯乙烯马来酰亚胺(SMI)
(C)5-50wt%的丙烯酸乙烯酯
(D)0-20wt%的水溶性组分,优选聚乙烯醇或淀粉
(E)0-7wt%的蜡
(F)0-6wt%的苯乙烯马来酸酐共聚物(SMA)或它的盐
(G)0-70wt%的合成粘结剂,优选苯乙烯丁二烯(SB)胶乳
(H)0-70wt%的矿物,优选高岭土或滑石。
