在将从药片至速溶咖啡的众多物料装在诸如瓶和大口瓶内时,如今常使用的瓶盖形式为兼有与容器颈部连接的密封垫和可盖住并保护该密封垫并在为使用容器内物料而除去密封垫后可重新封闭的螺纹盖。制造这种瓶盖的一种简单方法是在密封垫的下表面上形成被金属箔覆盖的热敏粘合涂层或可熔塑胶层。金属箔可构成密封垫的衬底或密封垫可包括用纸料或塑料制成的独立衬底。然后,将这种密封垫紧贴于容器颈部的顶部,再用适当的螺纹盖将它夹紧,同时,对容器盖实施感应加热工序,加热金属箔并因而激活热敏粘胶层或熔化塑胶层,这样,冷却后,密封垫就粘结在容器颈部上面了。
终端用户常常很难除去这种密封层,因此,在制造从容器口侧向向外伸出的,使用用户可抓住它而方便去除密封垫的薄片方面作了很多努力。与此有关的一个困难是感应加热时金属箔中所感应的涡流主要集中在密封垫的周边。当密封垫包含薄片时,就会在薄片的边缘附近感应出涡流,而由于薄片远离容器颈口,所以,密封垫在靠近薄片的地方常常不能完全固定在容器颈口的上面。
克服以上缺点的一个方法是所谓的“顶部薄片”系统(“Top Tab”)(注册商标),此方法目前已广泛应用,在美国专利US-A-4961986中有它的详细说明。该系统包括部分剥离的多层衬底,以构成完全处于容器颈周边内的可揭薄片。一般情况下,对直径不超过36mm的密封垫来说,可揭薄片大约占50%密封面积,而对更大直径的密封垫则维持36mm直径密封垫的薄片尺寸。在US-A-4961986中,这靠形成只有部分粘合在一起的多层衬底来实现。US-A-5702015也公开了一种此类密封垫,但是,在这个案例中,密封衬底是用挤压工艺形成的,在该工艺中,首先压制出第一塑性材料层,随后用第三挤压材料层挤压剥离第二松脱层。这里,第三挤压材料层与第一层为相同成分,在没有第二层的地方,它与第一层合而为一。这样,由第三层形成的薄片不需要层间粘合剂就与第一层形成整体。
如US-A-4961986中所示,螺纹盖除密封材料外,还可包括某种形式的衬料。目前,“Top Tab”(商标)系统的困难之一是从本质上看,它是单独制造的密封材料和衬料的二件式系统,并必须通过二个独立工序来固定到螺纹盖内。这自然会增加费用和使用该系统的困难。因此,在商业应用中,目前,“Top Tab”(商标)系统通常在无独立衬料状态下使用。
依照本发明,用于螺纹盖的单件式密封和衬料系统包括一个密封垫,它的下层形成用来将密封垫附着于容器颈部的感应加热可密封系统,还包括一个包含有完全处于密封垫周边内的自由薄片的密封衬底,还包括一层衬料和连接手段,连接手段则包括用来将包括薄片的密封衬底连接在衬料上的松脱层。
松脱层处的连接手段的剥离强度最好是在25mm宽的样品条上以1500mm/min速率剥离时处于20至90克范围内。更可取的剥离强度范围在同样条件下为50至60g/25mm。剥离强度的测定在垂直于样品条的方向上进行。
因为密封垫包括一自由薄片,则它的最上面一层或几层并不完全附着于密封垫的其余部分上。可以预料,在企图形成单件式衬料和密封系统时,这种部分剥离的结构会造成相当大的困难。然而,我们已发现事情并非如此,即只要在密封垫和衬料之间的连接中加入一松脱层,终端用户最初拧开螺纹盖时就可使单件系统的两半在松脱层处分开而绝不会损坏可揭薄片或密封垫。
连接手段最好用对酞酸聚乙烯层和低密度聚乙烯层形成,前者形成密封衬底的最上层,并涂覆用硝化纤维或硅化合成物形成的松脱层,后者作为松脱层和衬料下表面之间的粘合剂。覆盖在对酞酸聚乙烯层上面的硝化纤维或硅化合物牢固地粘合在这一层上。低密度聚乙烯层牢固地粘合在衬料上,但脆弱地粘合在硝化纤维或硅化合物层上。当受大致垂直于密封垫和衬料方向的分离力作用时,很容易超越硝化纤维或硅化合物和聚乙烯之间的粘合强度,而使密封垫和衬料相互分离。
衬料可用食品级纸板层或诸如泡沫聚乙烯的泡沫塑料层形成。在后一种情况下,可以在泡沫层和连接手段的低密度聚乙烯层之间包括一层聚乙烯。
或者,连接手段可由形成密封衬底最上层并覆盖有粘胶层的对酞酸聚乙烯上层形成。衬料系统的底层可以是覆盖有例如醋酸丙酸纤维素(CAP)松脱层的PET层,松脱层随后被粘合到连接手段的粘胶层上。当受到大致垂直于密封垫和衬料方向的分离力作用时,很容易超越粘合剂和涂覆的PET之间的粘合强度,因此,密封垫和衬料件将在松脱层和上PET层之间的分离点处相互分开。
密封垫最好包括感应加热的可密封系统,该系统包括一层铝箔,在铝箔的最下层表面上涂有热熔粘合剂。在热熔粘合剂和铝箔层之间可插入一层对酞酸聚乙烯,以隔离铝箔和容器内的物品并防止铝箔的锈蚀。密封垫还包括可包括如US-A-4961986中所述纸质迭压片的衬底,但最好是包括粘合在金属箔层上的诸如泡沫聚烯烃,例如,聚乙烯的泡沫聚合物层和粘合在泡沫层上的对酞酸聚乙烯层。在对酞酸聚乙烯层和泡沫材料之间,在它们未粘合在一起的地方,还可以插入一层对酞酸聚乙烯,尼龙或聚丙烯。密封衬底可包括插入在聚乙烯泡沫材料层和对酞酸聚乙烯层之间的诸如醋酸乙烯泡沫的泡沫塑料上层。这样,可揭薄片也包括一层泡沫材料。
螺纹盖通常是传统的,它可包括多圈螺纹或多起点不足整圈的螺纹。它最好有沿圆周延伸的肋或一系列指状物,在最初将盖子拧到容器上时,它们可保持组合的材料和密封垫单件就位和在以后打开和盖上盖子时可继续保持衬料部分的就位。盖子的结构最好能在盖子顶部和肋或指状物之间有足够的缝隙,使整个单件式衬料和密封垫可相对于盖子旋转。这就使衬料可在垂直于衬料和密封垫的分离力作用下脱离密封垫。容器可用玻璃或诸如聚乙烯,聚脂,氯乙烯,聚丙烯,聚苯乙烯或丙烯腈丁二烯—苯乙烯塑料制造。

单件式衬料和密封垫1包括连接在一起的衬料部分2和密封部分3。单件式衬料和密封垫1由若干层的层压制件形成,从底部开始,它包括通常以25至38g/m2的质量覆盖率沉积并可包括聚酯涂料,乙烯醋酸,聚丙烯,乙烯丙烯酸共聚物,或Surlyn(注册商标)的热熔粘合剂涂层4;例如20或50微米厚的铝箔层5;以例如3至20g/m2范围质量覆盖率形成的聚合粘合剂层6;125-250微米厚的聚乙烯泡沫材料层7;只有一部分延伸过泡沫层7和不粘附于泡沫层7的对酞酸聚乙烯层8;以例如50g/m2质量覆盖率形成的聚合粘合剂层9;23微米厚,粘合至泡沫层7和对酞酸聚乙烯层8上的对酞酸聚乙烯层10;以1-2g/m2质量覆盖率形成并作为松脱层的硝化纤维层11;以20g/m2质量覆盖率沉积的低密度聚乙烯层12;和通常为700至900微米厚的食品级纸板层13。
粘胶层6和9通常为乙烯荃醋酸乙烯共聚物,聚乙烯或聚氨酯。低密度聚乙烯层12通常在熔化状态下涂敷,冷却后牢固地粘结在纸板13上和均匀地粘结在硝化纤维层11上。
存在对酞酸聚乙烯层10,硝化纤维层11和低密度聚乙烯层12的结果是,形成了密封部分3和衬料部分2之间的粘结。但是,这种连接关系包含一个脆弱区域,它是由形成于松脱层11和低密度聚乙烯层12之间的弱粘结形成的。这一粘结在相继的加工和处理期间足以将两部分2和3维系在一起,但它又相当脆弱,因此,当受到如各附图中所示垂直方向的适当分离力作用时,衬料部分2将脱离密封部分3。对酞酸聚乙烯不完全层8的存在和它并未与泡沫层7粘合的事实提供了由层8和10形成的分离薄片部分,它并未与层7粘合,因此形成了可提薄片50(示于图4中),它将在后面予以说明。
图2中所示第二个实施例的层4至层12与第一实施例是相同的,但是,在这个示例中,层12附着于20微米厚的聚丙烯膜层14。以20g/m2质量覆盖率涂敷的聚丙烯聚乙烯聚合粘胶层15将聚丙烯层14粘接至通常为1.0或1.6mm厚的多孔聚乙烯泡沫层16上。以20g/mm质量覆盖率涂敷的聚丙烯聚乙烯聚合粘胶层17将多孔聚乙烯泡沫层16粘结至20微米厚的聚丙烯膜层18上。在这第二个实施例中,衬料部分2主要由被聚丙烯层14和18覆盖的多孔聚乙烯泡沫层16形成,它代替了第一示例中使用的食品级纸板。
形成迭层件后,再用模切方式形成单件式衬料和密封垫的圆板。单件式衬料1随后被压配入螺纹盖20的顶部内,并由周边肋21支承就位。单件式衬料和密封垫1的尺寸应使它既可在盖20的顶部内自由转动,同时,又能被肋21可靠地支承就位。使用时,装入了依照本发明的单件式衬料和密封垫1的螺纹盖被拧到瓶30的颈口上,因而将单件式衬料和密封垫1夹在瓶30的颈口和盖20的顶部之间。然后,盖20和瓶30经感应加热工序,在此加工工序中,铝箔5的周边附近被其中感生的涡流加热,后者则使热熔粘胶涂层4熔化,从而将密封部分3粘合至瓶30的颈口上。然后,已密封好的容器就可配发了。
当终端用户将螺纹盖20从瓶30上拧下时,密封部分3仍粘结在瓶30的颈口上,而衬料部分2刚被肋21维持在盖20的顶部内。密封部分3和衬料部分2在初次将盖20从瓶30的颈上拧下时在硝化纤维松脱层11处分离。此后,终端用户只需抓住由层8和10形成的薄片部分50,用手力克服热熔涂层4和瓶30的颈之间的粘结就可方便地将密封部分3从瓶30的颈上取下,这样,终端用户就可去除整个密封部分3从而取用瓶30中的物品了。衬料部分2仍将保持附着于盖内,以形成再次封闭时的二次密封。

Claims (12)

1、用于螺纹盖的单件式密封和衬料包括带有形成用来将密封垫附着于容器颈的感应加热可密封系统的下层的密封垫,包括完全处于密封垫周边内的自由薄片的密封衬底,衬料层,和包括用来将包含薄片的密封衬底附着于衬料上的连接手段。
2、依照权利要求1的系统,其中,所述连接手段由形成密封衬底上最上层的对酞酸聚乙烯层,由硝化纤维或硅化合物形成的松脱层,和衬料下表面上的低密度聚乙烯层形成。
3、依照权利要求1的系统,其中,所述衬料由食品级纸板层或诸如泡沫聚乙烯的泡沫塑料层形成。
4、依照权利要求3的系统,其中,当所述衬料包括泡沫塑料层时,在泡沫层和连接手段的低密度聚乙烯层之间包括一层聚丙烯层。
5、依照前面各权利要求中任一要求的系统,其中,所述密封垫包括带诸如泡沫聚烯烃的泡沫聚合物层的衬底,和其一部分粘合至泡沫层上以形成薄片的对酞酸聚乙烯层。
6、依照权利要求5的系统,其中,在对酞酸聚乙烯层和泡沫层之间,在它们未粘合在一起的区域,还插入了一层对酞酸聚乙烯,尼龙,或聚丙烯层。
