个人电脑用遥控装置
技术领域
本发明一般的涉及个人电脑系统,更具体地涉及用于包括多个视/听(A/V)装置的个人电脑系统的遥控装置。
背景技术
随着个人电脑(PC)系统的发展,其角色已演化为包括消费者的娱乐选择。例如,在新PC机中提供DVD(数字化视频光盘)驱动器越来越普及。不同于如电视,CD播放机等那样的独立娱乐装置,PC提供了在单个单元结合多个装置编程的能力,例如数字视频录相(DVR)和DVD回放。然而,PC用户还不能容易地获得卓越消费品的某些便利以及对这些消费品的所期望的选择。特别地,娱乐装置的一个优选部件是遥控装置。虽然已经开发了一些能够与PC机接口的遥控装置,其功能通常限于通过连接到PC的独立附加装置对单个装置进行初步控制。
例如,一个遥控装置用于控制与PC相联系的DVD播放机视频图象的容量和速度变化,第二遥控装置用于控制与PC联系的CD播放机的音量,而第三遥控装置用于个人电脑内部的TV功能。而且,按照此方式用于PC的遥控装置典型地不允许控制多个选项,也不提供关于其它装置的选择,如便携式摄像机,计算机游戏操纵台,TV等PC能够连接或者包括在其中的装置。相应的,遥控装置仅能用于一个装置而不能用于控制连接于其上或通过软件提供于其中的其它装置。
仍需要遥控装置提供更多的对通过PC提供的多个视/听部件的一般性控制能力。本发明就是针对这样的需要而提出的。
发明内容
描述了PC用遥控A/V装置的各方面。这些方面包括提供用于将多个A/V装置连接到PC的连接硬件。提供一具有可选择的按钮的遥控装置以将数据信号无线地发送到所述连接硬件。根据遥控装置上按钮选择产生的数据信号控制多个视/听装置。
本发明公开了一种多功能无线遥控装置,其允许完全控制PC中的多个视/听装置,如DVD播放机,TV接收器,数字视频录相机(DVR),和电子编程指南。这样,可确保PC用户得到简单直观的交互式PC/视频体验。结合下面的详细描述和附图,将更容易理解本发明的这些及其它优点。

具体实施方式
本发明一般的涉及个人电脑系统,更具体地说,涉及用于包括多个视/听(A/V)装置的个人电脑系统的遥控装置。下面的描述用来使本专业技术人员能够制造和使用本发明的,并提供于专利申请及其权利要求书中。对本专业技术人员来说,对优选实施例的各种改进和这里所描述的一般原则和特征都是显而易见的。因此,本发明不仅限于所示的实施例,而是与这里描述的原则和特征一致的最宽范围一致。
根据本发明,提供一种PC用遥控装置,其具有以集成方式控制多个视/听装置的能力。参考可从中国东莞Compro技术有限公司获得的个人影院系统描述-优选实施例。
图1示出了能够远程控制访问的个人影院系统9的透视图。所述个人影院系统9包括个人电脑10,调谐器盒12和遥控装置14。个人电脑10中包括显示卡16,其通过电缆连接到调谐器盒12。在一个优选实施例中,所述调谐器盒12支持到多个A/V装置的连接,包括如图所示的DVR、DVD、便携式摄像机、计算机游戏操纵台、TV等。这样,所述调谐器盒12和显示卡16提供多个视/听装置到所述个人电脑10的连接硬件。而且,所述调谐器盒12中包括一红外(IR)端口,其接收由遥控装置14发送的IR信号。这样,所述遥控装置14为用户提供到显示卡16及其在个人电脑中的相关编程的无线链接。
这样,本发明的所述遥控装置14提供了一单个装置,通过使用该装置,用户可控制与个人电脑联系的多个视/听装置。在一优选实施例中,所述遥控装置14的通用特性通过将遥控设备的按钮映射到不同的装置来实现。为进一步描述该特征,请参考下面的描述。
图2是根据本发明的个人影院的主要组成部件的简单方块图。如所看到的那样,所述遥控装置14向所述调谐器盒12中的一寄存器18发送一信号(优选是红外信号)。所述寄存器18向图象处理器单元(GPU)102提供数据。所述图象处理单元102包括一软件驱动器104,其提供用于控制各种视/听装置的信息。所述驱动器104向按钮映射软件106提供数据,所述按钮映射软件106处理个人电脑中的各种视/听装置软件。在该实施例中,TV接收器109,DVD播放机110,DVR112和CD播放机114是由遥控装置14控制的视/听装置。然而,本专业技术人员应该很容易地理解,尽管示出了具体的视/听装置,还可使用多种视/听装置,且它们的使用在本发明的精神和范畴之内。
图3是遥控装置利用个人电脑系统用遥控多个视/听装置104的流程图。参考图1,2,和3,通过步骤20,所述遥控装置14响应于按钮选择,向所述调谐器盒12发送一数字信号/二进制码。所述调谐器盒12中的所述寄存器108用于接收传送到显示卡16的数据信号,例如,通过一12C总线。通过步骤22,所述数据信号通过按钮映射软件被转换成适当的控制功能16。
其后,通过步骤24,个人电脑内部适当的控制功能被控制。例如,所述应用编程可包括作为独立程序或是本专业技术人员所理解的集成编程的TV接收器编程、DVD播放器编程、DVR编程和CD播放器编程。其后,通过步骤26,控制所述功能的按钮被激活,例如,电源开/关、快进、录音等。通过例子,一查找表提供了转换机制,所述转换机制适用于确定与激活所述遥控装置14的按钮相关的功能。
图4示出了更为详细的遥控装置14和按钮数字分配的视图。如图所示,按钮0-9提供用于遥控的频道数,按钮10-31控制不同视/听装置的各种功能。同样如图所示,DVD/CD功能被一起控制,TV/DVR功能被一起控制。相应的,如图所示,该实施例中,按钮10控制CD/DVD开/关功能,按钮11控制TV/DVR开/关功能。相应的,如果CD/DVD功能打开,则按钮11不起作用,如果TV/DVR功能打开,则按钮10不起作用。如进一步所看到的那样,所述CD/DVD功能和TV/DVR功能(即,DVD根菜单/EPG(按钮12),DVD语言选择/视频源选择(按钮13),键入/播放列表(按钮14,等)是通过在按钮10或11被按下之后按所述相应按钮来控制的。如前面所提到的那样,对视/听装置的控制是由按钮映射软件来处理的,其通过所述软件驱动器104转换来自所述遥控装置的数据信号。在一优选实施例中,该转换是通过利用使一特定按钮与一特定功能相联系的查找表来执行的。
图5示出了查找或转换表的一个例子,其针对DVR和DVD编程所需的每个功能使一个按钮数字(键)与数据信号/动作键码(IR代码)相联系。如所看到的那样,按压每个按钮提供一个唯一的IR代码。每个IR代码启动一个特定的动作。如上面所提到的那样,按钮0-9具有与用于遥控装置的信道号相联系的IR代码(0xx00-0xx09)。也如上面所提到的那样,按钮10通过特定的IR代码(0xx09)启动CD/DVD功能。其后,按钮12-31通过与所述CD/DVD功能相关的IR代码(0xx12-0xx31)提供特定功能。类似的,按钮11通过特定IR代码(0xx10)启动所述TV/DVR功能。其后,按钮12-31通过与所述TV/DVR功能相关的IR代码(0xx12-0xx31)提供特定的功能。
应该理解的是,尽管示出了具有提供特定IR代码的特定按钮的转换或查找表,然而其仅是说明性的,本专业普通技术人员在本发明的精神和范畴内可以很容易地意识到可以使用多种不同的表格和IR代码。相应的,如所见到的那样,通过电子表格或其它转换机制,使用按钮映射转换,可使用一个遥控装置提供对个人电脑中不同视/听装置的控制。

Claims (10)

1.一种遥控多个视/听装置的系统,所述系统包括:
单个遥控装置,其具有多个可选按钮,用于确定数据信号以无线地获取对所述多个视/听装置的控制;
连接硬件,其连接到个人计算机,并用于使用显示卡将所述数据信号转换成适当的控制功能,以确定用于所选的视/听装置的适当控制功能,所述所选的视/听装置与每一可选按钮的激励相联系;以及
所述个人计算机,用于使用所述适当控制功能来控制所述多个视/听装置。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述连接硬件连接所述多个视/听装置和所述个人计算机。
3.如权利要求2所述的系统,其中所述连接硬件包括调谐器盒,用于将所述多个视/听装置连接于所述个人计算机。
4.如权利要求3所述的系统,其中所述适当的控制功能使用查找表而从所述数据信号转换得到,其中所述多个可选按钮包括被映射以选择视/听装置的可选按钮和被映射以控制所选的视/听装置的操作的可选按钮。
5.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述调谐器盒包括红外端口接收器和寄存器以接收来自所述单个遥控装置的数据信号并且用于将所接收的数据信号传送到所述显示卡。
6.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述控制功能包括多个DVD和DVR功能之一。
7.一种通过个人计算机遥控多个视/听装置的系统,所述系统包括:
遥控装置,其具有多个可选择按钮,用于无线地发送数据信号;以及
调谐器盒,其被连接于个人计算机,连接于所述多个视/听装置和连接于所述遥控装置,所述调谐器盒用于接收所述数据信号以便于传送到所述个人计算机,其中所述个人计算机包括显示卡,用于将所述数据信号转换成适当的控制功能,以使用查找表来选择和控制所述多个视/听装置的操作;并且其中所述多个可选按钮包括被映射以选择视/听装置的可选按钮和被映射以控制所选的视/听装置的操作的可选按钮。
8.一种通过个人计算机遥控多个视/听装置的系统,所述系统包括:
调谐器盒,其被连接于所述多个视/听装置,具有红外端口接收器和寄存器,用于接收多个数据信号中的一个数据信号以便于传送到个人计算机;
所述个人计算机,其具有显示卡,包括按钮映射软件,用于将所述数据信号转换成适当的控制功能;以及软件驱动,用于根据所述适当的控制功能来提供用于控制所述多个视/听装置的信息,其中所述多个数据信号包括被映射成选择视/听装置的数据信号和被映射成控制所选的视/听装置的操作的数据信号,
所述调谐器盒被连接于所述个人计算机的所述显示卡。
9.如权利要求8所述的系统,进一步包括遥控装置,其具有可选按钮,用于无线地发送数据信号以获取对所述多个视/听装置的控制。
10.一种用于通过个人计算机遥控视/听装置的方法,所述方法包括:
将遥控装置上的多个按钮中的每个按钮映射到一预定键代码,其中所述多个按钮包括选择视/听装置的按钮和控制所选的视/听装置的操作的按钮;
在所述个人计算机的显示卡内,将所述映射存储在查找表中;
接收对应于按下选择所述视/听装置的所述按钮中的一个的数据信号;
使用所述查找表将对应于按下选择所述视/听装置的按钮中的一个的所述数据信号转换成开/关功能,以选择被连接于所述个人计算机的多个视/听装置中的一个;
接收对应于按下控制所述所选的视/听装置的操作的按钮中的一个的数据信号;以及
使用所述查找表将对应于按下控制所述所选的视/听装置的操作的按钮中的一个的所述数据信号转换成控制功能,以控制被连接于所述个人计算机的所述多个视/听装置中所选的一个的操作。
