Description

智能卡模块
本发明系关于用以插入具有位于卡本体表面上之结构部之在卡系统(system-on-card)之卡本体之弹性的卡模块。
在制造智能卡的过程期间,需要在弹性载体或卡本体的表面插入复数在卡系统(system on card)组件。在此情况中,此等组件一方面应该与载体或卡本体的表面终端对齐。另一方面,不应超过完成的智能卡的标准厚度。
因为智能卡的功能将经由在卡系统而变得很大,因此希望在智能卡内提供资料输入的可能性。
已知的小型键盘(keypad),其于最简单的情况中仅具有一个按键,包含一盖片以及一基片。切换部,其通常被插入一片内,被设置于该盖片与该基片之间。已知的使用于,例如移动电话或支票卡尺寸的口袋计算器,之小型键盘以具有可从外部存取之外部接触之完成的模块形态呈现。此完成的模块被插入移动电话或口袋计算器之内,以机构与之连接并经由电性接触与电话或口袋计算器之其它组件连接。但是,此种小型键盘模块太厚而不能被集积至厚度大约为700μm之标准智能卡内。
本发明之目的在提供一种可能性,藉由此种可能性使组件,尤其是资料输入装置,能够由于该智能卡的厚度而被插入标准智能卡内,因此确保智能卡之平坦表面。
此目的藉由使智能卡具有申请专利范围第1项之特征而达成。其它有利的修改来自申请专利范围之附属项。
依据本发明之智能卡模块包括一中间载体,于该载体上设置至少一组件。于插入智能卡之本体内之后,该中间载体被设置于该卡本体内,而该一组件或该至少一组件被设置在该卡本体之表面且因此能够从外部对其存取。由于该原始出现于在卡系统(system-on-card)内之中间载体被用以当成组件的功能组成部,因为一般厚度而可能无法被使用的组件现在可被集积于一标准智能卡内。
换句话说,本发明建议使用中间载体做为组件组成部之取代物,因此其它组件的厚度相对于以模块呈现之组件可被降低。
以模块呈现的组件总是具有一载体基板,于该基板上设置电子组件。在载体基板上,外部接触随后被安装在-下面或其端部边缘-经由该等接触形成组件之电性连接。
依据本发明,该载体基板可藉由使组件之电子组件直接接触智能卡模决的中间载体而被免除。如果,依据本发明之一有利发展,该组件为具有至少一按键之小型键盘,则代表载体基板之基片可被免除。该切换片,其由位于卡本体表面之一盖片所覆盖,可直接与该中间载体接触连接。
因此,该中间载体比较好的情况是具有一导体轨迹结构用来产生与该至少一组件之电性连接。
其它的组件,例如芯片模块或显示装置,可以被设置于该中间载体上。该等组件之相互连接则藉由中间载体上之导体结轨迹结构而变得特别简单。
藉由省略以上的基片,小型键盘的厚度以可被合并至标准智能卡内的方式而被降低。
无庸置疑地,本发明不仅可被用于小型键盘的情况,且可被用于所有通常以模块方式呈现并具有含外部接触之载体基板的组件。在所有这些组件内,可以藉由直接贴附个别电子组件至中间载体上而降低厚度并免除载体基板的使用。
很明显地,具有个别组件的另一中间载体也可被设置于载体内或卡本体内。于此情况中,每一中间载体不需要被安装在载体或卡本体内。一种另一中间载体可同时形成智能卡的表面,能够被插入该中间载体内或即将与之连接之组件。
依据本发明之芯片模块之一种可能的实施例,具有一中间载体以及一设置于其上之组件,其中该中间载体形成该组件之功能组成部,之剖面被表示于所附之图式。
一中间载体2被插入预定尺寸之一卡本体1内。于该中间载体上设置习知设计之一芯片模块7-被形成为一完成的模块-以及小型键盘型态之一组件3-并非以模块呈现-。芯片模块7及小型键盘3与卡本体1之表面终端对齐以产生一平面区域。此小型键盘包括一覆盖层5位于该卡本体之表面上以及一切换片6位于覆盖层5与中间载体2之间。且换片6包括小型键盘之电子组件,也就是说必要的按键。后者电连接至导体轨迹结构4,其被设置于中间载体2之上。因此,具有导体轨迹结构之中间载体2取代背景介绍中描述的基片,该基片在小型键盘模块的情况中通常具有外部接触。此中间载体2因此变成键盘3之功能组成部。因此,小型键盘的厚度以小型键盘可被合并至具有约700μm厚度之标准智能卡本体内的方式被降低。此型态的小型键盘来自已知的薄膜小型键盘,例如已知来自移动电话。
本发明也有利于小型键盘3至智能卡其它组件之接触连接。
本发明实施例仅说明被设置在中间载体上并且可经由导体轨迹结构4被电连接至小型键盘的芯片模块7。然而,本发明并不受限于此,而可以包括,例如一显示装置,一能量储存或类似者。
于此情况中,芯片模块可被设计为具有接触或不具接触,或为混合形式。

Claims (5)

1.一种智能卡模块,用以插入具有至少一组件(3)及一中间载体(2)之一卡本体(1),该至少一组件被设置于安装于该卡本体(1)内之该中间载体(2)之上,而该中间载体(2)系为该至少一组件(3)之一功能组成部,该等组件(3)之一为一键盘。
2.如申请专利范围第1项之智能卡模块,该中间载体(2)具有一导体轨迹结构(4),用以产生与该至少一组件(3)之电性连接并取代该组件之一组成部。
3.如申请专利范围第1或2项之智能卡模块,该键盘具有一覆盖片(5)位于该卡本体之表面以及一切换片(6)与该中间载体(2)接触连接。
4.如申请专利范围第1至3项任一项之智能卡模块,该等组件(3)之一为一芯片模块(7)。
5.一种具有至少一依据申请专利范围第1至4任一项之智能卡模决之智能卡。
