Abstract

Description

用于灯串的灯
本发明涉及用于灯串(light strings)中的灯,特别涉及用于与插座连接的灯泡基座,即使一个或多个单独的灯泡没有在插座中时,该插座仍将继续传导电流且保持灯串中其余的灯发光。
众所周知具有串联电连接的灯的灯串,特别是在节日前后,这种灯串用于装饰的目的。通常,成串的灯串联电连接而不是并联连接。这种灯串的一个特殊的缺点是,当从插座中取出灯泡时,会使整个串联通路不能工作。在各插座中的各灯泡形成电路,从而当取出灯泡或灯泡内的灯丝熔断时,在电路中产生间隙,电流不能继续流过电路。当“好”灯泡插入插座中时,它形成电路,从而使得电流不中断地流过。
授予给Harris的发明题目为“带有改进的分路系统的灯串”(“LightString With Improved Shunt System”)的美国专利5453664披露了一种解决方案,在灯泡不在插座中的情况下仍允许电路继续发挥作用。Harris的专利涉及灯泡分路系统,该分路系统构成为在灯丝断开或从插座中取出灯泡的情况下可使流经灯泡的电流分路。
Harris的系统具有位于灯玻壳内的第一分路器和位于灯座或插座中的第二分路器。分路器的组合电阻大于灯泡的电阻,从而使灯串继续发光。
尽管Harris的装置允许在灯泡受损并且留在插座中或从灯串中完全取出灯泡的情况下使电流继续流动,但它要求设计成包括两个分路器中的第一分路器的特定灯泡。该系统还要求在插座中构成的第二分路器系统,因而在各插座/灯泡的组合中产生有额外的分路器。即,每次仅使用一个分路器,在每一个灯中有额外或多余的分路器。并且,当取出灯泡时,例如当灯泡烧坏并且没有取出该灯时,分路器接通(weld)并因此防止替换灯泡发光。最后,由于各插座的分路器接通,在其余的灯上的电压增加,从而缩短这些灯泡的寿命,引起级联灯泡损坏。
尽管上述装置是当前现有技术的合理代表,但仍然有如本发明权利要求所限定的改进的余地。
本发明的灯允许在从插座中完全取出灯泡基座时使系统中的电流仍继续流动。这采用装在灯泡基座中的具有灯丝的灯泡来实现。两根引线连接到灯泡中的灯丝上并从灯泡内部通过基座底部伸出。在基座外部,引线向外并且向上地围绕基座弯折。带有基座的灯泡插入灯插座中。接电源的引线伸入插座中并且与两个弹簧端子接触,在插座两侧各有一个弹簧端子。在插座中的这两个弹簧端子彼此相对地偏置。因此,如果这两个弹簧端子不分开,它们将总是接触的并且因电流从一个弹簧端子传导到另一个弹簧端子而产生短路,从而能以没有负载的方式继续传导电流。可是,灯的基座被修改成当灯座插入插座中时可强制地使两个弹簧端子分开。当弹簧端子被分开时,电流可流过灯泡,使灯发光。
本发明具有与此有关的众多特征和优点。
本文所述的灯具有在一个或多个灯泡插座中没有灯泡时保持灯串中其余的灯发光的优点。这如下那样来实现,即使当灯泡基座不在插座中时也可通过灯泡插座继续传导电流。
灯泡插座的一个独特的特征是两个弹簧端子,当灯泡基座不在插座中时,两个弹簧端子彼此弹性电接触。由于这两个弹簧端子的物理接触,减少了起电弧的机会。电流从一个弹簧端子流到另一个弹簧端子并且不再有产生电弧的机会。
本发明的灯泡基座易于制造和使用,因而经济适用。

图1是用于灯串的灯的第一实施例的分解的局部剖切透视图。灯140具有装在基座60中的灯泡20,该基座60被可拆卸地安装在其尺寸构成为可容纳基座60的灯泡插座10中。
灯泡20具有与基座60连接的球形部分40。球形部分40可由诸如塑料或玻璃之类的任何常规的透明或半透明材料构成。在球形部分40内有向下穿过基座60延伸并穿出基座60的灯丝50。通向基座60外部的灯丝50的端部是从基座60的底部150突出的引出线80。引出线80绕在基座60上并沿与基座60相邻的球形部分40的方向向上延伸。
在基座60的外部,处于中心区域和在基座60下部的各引出线80之间,隔离件160沿向下的方向远离基座60的灯泡20突出。
隔离件160可具有尖顶或圆形尖端180,当两个弹簧端子110在一起时该尖顶或圆形尖端180有助于使这两个弹簧端子分离。隔离件160用于切断弹簧端子110之间的物理和电连接,由此消除不流过引出线80就进入灯丝50的任何一种可能的电流流通导电路径,从而使灯泡20发光。
当从插座10取出灯基座60时,各弹簧端子110利用足够的力彼此偏置在一起以便它们相互接触形成电流可由此流过的连接。
灯泡插座10具有装载弹簧端子110的壳体90,每一个弹簧端子110都与两个插座端子170中的其中一个电连接,插座端子170本身又与至少两个端子引线100电连接。
各插座端子170是每一个对应端子引线100的延伸部分。端子引线100与外电源连接。
从壳体90的外部到其内部配置了端子引线100。各端子引线100的一端与弹簧端子110和引线80连接。端子引线100延伸过插座10的底部190,最终与电源连接。因此,如果它们接触或通过引出线80达到灯丝50,那么可利用端子引线100将电流导入插座10中并通过每一个弹簧端子110导通。不论通路如何,电流都将流动并且电路保持闭合。
图2A和2B是展示灯泡20插入并完全位于基座60中的灯140的第一实施例的局部剖切透视图。当基座60插入灯座10中,当弹簧端子110之间的物理接触被断开时,流过弹簧端子110的电流中断,并使得电流流过引出线80而向上到达灯丝50,从而使灯泡20发光。然后,电流继续从与其进入侧相对的灯丝50的另一侧流出该灯丝50,并向下通过另一引出线80,且通过另一端子引线100,直到它流出该特定的灯140。当灯泡20完全位于灯插座10中时,凸缘170与壳体90接合。
图3是展示用于灯串并在分开位置上表示的灯340的第二实施例的分解的局部剖切透视图。灯泡220具有在球形部分240内的灯丝250。灯丝250与多根引出线280连接,引出线280延伸通过基座230,沿隔离件270延伸并从隔离件270的底部350冒出。在基座230外,引出线280向外并沿灯泡220的方向上向上地围绕部件270弯折。
带有基座230的灯泡220适于插入其尺寸设计成可接纳基座230的灯泡插座210中。灯泡插座210包括壳体290,在壳体290内可接纳灯泡220的基座230并且还可装入所需元件以形成电连接和形成带有电源的电路。
灯泡插座210带有两个连接于其上的端子引线300。端子引线300从电源延伸入灯泡插座210中,在此其与两个弹簧端子电连接,这两个弹簧端子最好在灯泡插座210的两侧各有一个。在灯泡插座210中的弹簧端子310彼此相对地偏置。如果不被分开,这两个弹簧端子310就接触并因从一个弹簧端子310到另一个弹簧端子310传导电流而产生短路。插入灯泡基座230(参见图4A和4B)将致使隔离件270强制地分开各弹簧端子310。隔离件270成形为有利于使这两个弹簧端子310分开。当弹簧端子310断开时,电流流过灯泡220,形成通过引出线280和灯丝250的电路。与本发明的第一实施例不同,电流总是流过弹簧端子310,直接或通过引出线280和灯丝250从一个弹簧端子310流到另一个弹簧端子310。
图5、6A和6B展示总体用参考标号540指示的本发明灯的第三实施例。此外,灯泡420可安放在灯插座410中。如前一样,灯泡420具有固定于基座460上的球形部分440,基座460具有隔离件470,当基座460插入灯插座410中时,隔离件470强制地使灯插座410的壳体490所装载的两个弹簧端子510分开,以中断从一个弹簧端子510流到另一个弹簧端子510的电流,使其改向而流经基座460两侧上的一对引出线480。引出线480与球形部分440内的灯丝450电连接。只要通过端子500将电流供给引出线480,灯泡420便发光。从灯插座410取出灯泡420会上提隔离件470而使其脱离弹簧端子510,从而使弹簧端子弹性接触在一起并允许电流流过其间。只要电流在弹簧端子510之间流过或通过引出线480从弹簧端子510流到灯丝450,那么将使灯泡420作为其组成单元的灯泡串维持发光。
在本实施例中,隔离件470有扩大的端部520,就其作为防止灯泡420移出的阻挡器的意义上来说,端部520起到锁定件的作用。扩大的端部520还形成为有利于弹簧端子510的分开。
弹簧端子110、310和510优选地由诸如钢或铜之类的弹性导电金属构成,还可优选地由分别与引线80、280和480相同的材料和分别与端子100、300和500相同的材料构成。

Claims (12)

1.一种用于灯串的灯,所述灯包括:
带有基座和一对从所述基座伸出的引出线的灯泡;
其尺寸设计成可安放所述灯泡的插座,所述插座具有装载于其中的两个弹簧端子,当所述灯泡插入所述插座中时,所述灯泡的所述基座强制地使所述各弹簧端子分开,当从所述插座取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子弹性接触在一起;和
伸入所述插座的一对端子,当所述灯泡在所述插座中时所述弹簧端子和所述引出线与所述的该对端子电连接。
2.根据权利要求1所述的灯,其特征在于,所述基座装有隔离件,该隔离件成形为当所述灯泡插入所述插座中时可隔离开所述各弹簧端子。
3.根据权利要求1所述的灯,还包括用于锁定所述基座以防止该基座从所述插座中移出的装置。
4.根据权利要求1所述的灯,其特征在于,所述基座成形为有利于分开所述各弹簧端子和防止所述基座从所述插座中移出。
5.根据权利要求1所述的灯,其特征在于,当取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子直接导通,且当所述灯泡被装入所述插座中时,所述弹簧端子通过所述引出线导通。
6.根据权利要求1所述的灯,其特征在于,当取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子直接导通,且当所述灯泡被插入所述插座中时,所述弹簧端子不导通。
7.一种用于灯串的灯,所述灯包括:
包括带有隔离件的基座和一对从所述基座伸出的引出线的灯泡;
其尺寸设计成可安放所述灯泡的插座,所述插座具有装载于其中的两个弹簧端子,当所述灯泡插入所述插座中时,所述灯泡的所述隔离件强制地使所述各弹簧端子分开,当从所述插座取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子弹性接触在一起;和
伸入所述插座的一对端子,当所述灯泡插入在所述插座中时,所述弹簧端子和所述引出线与所述的该对端子电连接。
8.根据权利要求7所述的灯,其特征在于,所述引出线从所述隔离件伸出。
9.根据权利要求7所述的灯,其特征在于,所述隔离件装有用于防止所述灯泡从所述插座中移出的装置。
10.根据权利要求7所述的灯,其特征在于,所述隔离件装有有利于分开所述各弹簧件的装置。
11.根据权利要求7所述的灯,其特征在于,当取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子直接导通,且当所述灯泡装入所述插座中时,所述弹簧端子通过所述引出线导通。
12.根据权利要求7所述的灯,其特征在于,当取出所述灯泡时,所述弹簧端子直接导通,且当所述灯泡被插入所述插座中时,所述弹簧端子不导通。
