Abstract

发明背景
技术领域
本发明总的涉及一种用于波纹管的接头,具体地涉及一种可预先组装的接头,这样,一个安装工可快速和方便地将该接头连接到波纹管上。
现有技术
日本已经开发出软煤气管道(FGP)系统、也称为不锈钢波纹管(CSST),以前称为室内煤气管(IGP),并且已在八十年代初期由大阪和东京煤气公司首先引入市场。该系统采用卷绕在卷筒上的不锈钢波纹管以及现场可安装的接头,从而将来自于中心供应站,诸如煤气表或调节器的天然气供应到房屋或建筑物中的各个应用设备上。这种可比作为房屋铺设电线一样的安装煤气管道的技术可明显地减少安装时间,从而也减少了相应的较高的人工费用。该技术由煤气研究院引入美国,该院将这技术视为一种可使煤气安装更具竞争的手段,从而可增加安装煤气管道的新建筑物的百分率,并且提高一个国家的天然气总消耗量。该技术受到主要煤气公用事业公司的热烈欢迎和支持,因为他们早已看到明显较高的安装管道费用是其更多地销售煤气的一个最大障碍。尽管获得法典的认可需要更多的时间和努力,但该产品现已被ANSI制定的所有国家标准法典、国家消防协会/国家燃气法典认可,并被美国煤气协会鉴定和认可。此产品最终将取代占据现今所有燃气管道的80%左右的黑铁管,以及尽管具有FGP许多相同优点但其使用正在受到禁止的铜管。
一开始投入市场的已有三种类型的接头。第一种引入市场的接头采用一纤维垫圈形成密封,并且不需要特殊工具来组装此接头。然而这种接头的泄漏发生率高于由其它制造商所采用的漏斗形金属对金属密封。
第二种投入市场的接头先采用一特制的工具将要安装接头处的CSST管端部处的回旋面整平,然而采用第二件工具将一个锥形扩口置于管子端部。该产品现已退出市场,因为在整平和扩口过程中不锈钢的加工硬化会引起管接失灵。
第三种投入市场的接头不需要特制工具,只是通过将管子的回旋面本身回折形成一双层扩口从而形成金属对金属密封。投入市场一段时间之后,发现这种接头设计不符合防泄漏密封的要求。解决此问题的方法是设计一种插入式扩口工具,这大约使用了三年左右。再一次作了设计,将插入工具升级到一套筒式扩口工具。
目前安装某些接头中存在一个问题是安装人员必须在现场组装大量的分散部件。在一普通接头中,有一本体、一螺母、一垫圈和两个分开的环形垫片,这些都必须组装起来以将接头连接到波纹管上。这些部件会产生包括组装复杂的一些缺点,以及需要携带额外的部件来弥补丢失或损坏的部件。
发明概述
本发明的预组装接头可克服或避免现有技术的上述和其它缺陷和缺点。该预组装接头包括一本体、一螺母和一位于所述螺母中的套筒。螺母在本体上拧入一段预定的距离以使安装人员可将波纹管卡入螺母并配合套筒。螺母进一步拧紧以将本体密封到波纹管上。本体上的锥形表面可配合波纹管的切割端并且使波纹管的切割扩口。通过管子回旋段本身向后折可形成一双层扩口的、可靠的金属对金属密封而不需要扩口或整平工具。

发明的详细描述
图1是接头本体的立体图,总的用10标出。该本体10与同族的尚未授权的美国专利申请08/693,475类似,该篇文献在本文中引作参考。本体10具有外螺纹12,它与形成于螺母20中的内螺纹22配合,如图9所示。本体10包括一锥形表面16,其可如下所述地密封于波纹管上。该锥形16具有一角度α,例如为55度。一中央导管14可与波纹管连接,并且靠近锥形表面16的中央导管14端部直径增加以形成一台肩18。台肩18可限制定位套30的插入深度,如图4所示。图3是本体10的端视图。
图4是定位套30的立体图。定位套30包括一圆柱形段32和一锥形段34。该锥形端的直径向离开圆柱形段34方向减少。定位套30的内径较佳地在圆柱形段32和锥形段34上是恒定的,如图5所示。锥形段34可便于将波纹管置于定位套30上,如下所述。定位套30不需要锥形段34。如图6所示,定位套30可以是一外径不变的圆柱形件。定位套压配到本体10中并与台肩18配合。另外,定位套可以是在本体10上的一整体件。
图7是螺母20的立体图。螺母20具有内螺纹22,其可配合形成于本体10上的外螺纹12。一腔室24形成于螺母20中以容纳套筒40,如图9和10所示。腔室24包括一台肩26,其可防止套筒进入螺母20的螺纹区中。腔室包括一角度为β、例如为40度的锥形段28。第一螺线孔21具有一第一内径,第二螺母孔23具有一第二内径。第一螺母孔21和第二螺母孔23的尺寸为套筒40可如下所述地保持于螺母20中。
图10是套筒40的端视图。套筒40是本发明的一个重要特征,它有助于在本体10上的锥形表面16和波纹管之间形成一金属对金属密封。该套筒40卡锁地容纳波纹管,从而可使接头预先组装并且便于接头在现场安装。套筒40由一圆柱体42和一唇部46构成。唇部46形成于圆柱体42的一端。唇部46具有一角度为β的外斜面43以及角度为α的内斜面。外斜面43可配合螺线20上的锥形段28,内斜面41可起到连接本体10上锥形面16的作用以挤压波纹管并且形成金属对金属密封。圆柱体42的另一端具有一厚度增加的脊44。脊44可增加套筒40的刚性。多个槽48穿过唇部46并且在沿圆柱体42的部分长度上形成多个软性的套筒段43上。这可使套筒40置于螺母20中,然后可利用一工具扩张,这样套筒40可保持在螺母20中。
图12是组装完成的接头的局部横截面图。套筒40置于螺母20中并且膨胀,这样软性套筒套43可弯离套筒40的中心轴线。这可使唇部46的外径扩大而将套筒40保持在形成于螺线20上的凹槽24中。本体10可螺旋配合到螺母20中。一附加的挡环50可安装于本体10的外螺纹周围以限制本体10相对螺线20的移动。这可在螺母20中留下足够的空间来接纳波纹管,如下所述。挡环50可以是一圆柱形的塑料套,其可包括可脱离区(例如刻痕)。该脱离区可使挡环50在本体10拧到螺母20上时分离并且可从本体10拆下来。
图13是表示波纹管60安装到接头上的局部剖视的侧视图。该波纹管60在凹部切断并且插入套筒40中。波纹管60上的波峰可使软性套筒段43扩展。一旦波峰靠近唇部46的内侧时,软性套筒段43可在波纹管60插入之前返回并且位于波纹管60的凹部中。唇部46和波纹管60凹部之间的相互作用可将波纹管60保持在接头上。波纹管60位于定位套30周围。定位套30可使波纹管60与本体10对齐并且可便于形成金属对金属密封,如下所述。由于本体10与波纹管60是藉由定位套30对齐的,所以不需使用现有技术中的扩口工具。这可节省安装过程中的一个步骤,并且可减少安装人员所必须携带的工具数量。
安装人员现可将本体10相对螺母20拧紧。当本体10移入螺母20时,锥面16可接触波纹管的端部并且开始挤压锥面16和套筒40上的内斜面43之间的波纹管60。如图14所示,波纹管60在本体10相对螺母20拧紧时可挤压成一双层扩口。挤压两层波纹管可使金属对金属密封效果增强。这两层波纹管可形成更大的挤压力和更紧的密封。
本发明可提供一便于安装的预组装接头。该套筒包括可弯离套筒中心轴并可返回其原来位置的多个软性套筒段。这可使波纹管方便地卡配到接头中。波纹管是挤压在本体和套筒之间的,从而在接头和波纹管之间可形成金属对金属密封。从而不需要很多工具并且可简化安装程序。
虽然已经示出和描述了较佳实施例,但只要不脱离本发明的实质和范围还可对其作出多种变化和替代。因此,应当理解,以上只是对本发明进行举例说明而对本发明未作限定。

Claims (16)

1.一种用于波纹管的接头,所述接头包括:
一本体,包括一导管以连接波纹管;
一螺母,与所述本体连接,所述螺母包括一内腔;以及
一套筒,位于所述内腔中。
2.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,所述本体包括一具有一第一角度的锥形表面。
3.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,所述套筒还包括具有所述第一角度的第一斜面,所述锥面和所述第一斜面对齐在一共同轴上并彼此相邻。
4.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,还包括一位于所述本体周围的挡环以限定所述本体相对所述螺母的位置。
5.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,还包括一位于所述本体中并靠近所述锥形表面的定位套。
6.如权利要求5所述的接头,其特征在于,所述定位套压配在所述本体中。
7.如权利要求5所述的接头,其特征在于,所述定位套与所述本体成一体。
8.如权利要求5所述的接头,其特征在于,所述定位套包括一圆柱体和锥体。

10.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,所述套筒包括一具有一第二角度的外斜面,所述腔室包括一具有所述第二角度的锥形段。
11.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,所述套筒包括多个形成为多个软性套筒段的凹槽。
12.如权利要求1所述的接头,其特征在于,所述套筒包括:
一圆柱体;以及
一连接到所述圆柱体上的唇部,所述唇部外径大于所述圆柱体的外径。
13.如权利要求12所述的接头,其特征在于,所述套筒还包括一脊,其外径大于所述圆柱体的外径。
14.一种用于波纹管的接头,所述接头包括:
一本体,具有可连接到管子上的导管;所述本体包括一具有一第一角度的锥形表面;
一位于所述本体中并靠近锥形表面的定位套;
一螺母,连接到所述本体上,所述螺母包括一内腔;以及
一套筒,位于所述腔室中,所述套筒包括一具有所述第一角度的第一斜表面,所述锥形表面和所述第一斜表面同轴对齐并相邻;
其中,所述套筒包括多个形成为多段软套筒的槽。
15.一种连接到波纹管上的接头,包括:
一本体,具有可连接到管子上的导管;所述本体包括一具有一第一角度的锥形表面;
一位于所述本体中并靠近锥形表面的定位套;
一螺母,连接到所述本体上,所述螺母包括一内腔;以及
一套筒,位于所述腔室中,所述套筒包括一具有所述第一角度的第一斜表面,所述锥形表面和所述第一斜表面同轴对齐并相邻;
其中,所述套筒包括多个形成为多段软套筒的槽;以及
